Greetings, Respected Master!
Greetings, fellow practitioners!
Until now, we have cultivated in Fa-rectification for over four years. When recalling what we have experienced in these four years and the path we have gone through, I think every practitioner has many feelings that come to mind. I recall that on July 20, 1999, the Chinese Government began to fully persecute Dafa. When we attended the first Fa-clarifying activity held in Washington D.C., I discussed with a fellow practitioner how we should look at this storm. At that time, we felt that when Dafa underwent such a severe test that we would do anything we could to protect Dafa.
Later, I actively attended almost all Fa-rectification activities. Of course, since my wife does not practice, she cannot understand what I do. The obstructions she placed in my way were also not small, but they did not block me. I attended to the establishment of a website, clarified the facts in forums and participated in local Fa-spreading activities. Later, I used an internet program to directly clarify the facts to the Mainland Chinese, and recently began working with the TV team. I participated in as many activities as possible. During these activities, I saw many people knew of Truthfulness–Compassion–Forbearance. Especially, when I saw many Chinese people changing their evil thoughts of Dafa and Master during our unremitting efforts to clarify the facts, I sincerely felt happy for them. Nothing can make Dafa Dizi feel more gratified than to see lives saved.
In the summer of 2002, when we spread the Fa in Chinatown, a young man cursed loudly while walking toward our display boards. I asked him to talk with me. We talked for over an hour. He calmed down a lot, and acknowledged that he had not thought deeply about Dafa. Later, after we exchanged phone numbers, he left. Half year later, he called. In the beginning, he just asked: "Do you still remember me?" I said: "Of course." He said: "I just came back from China. The first thing I wanted to do is to call you." I thought something might have happened, so I asked him. He told me what he saw and heard when he went back to China. He had many friends who served in the public security branch of the government. When these friends talked about Falun Gong, every one of them gave a thumbs up, and said Falun Gong was good, which touched him greatly. So, the first thing he did after he came back to America was to call me. Of course, I took the chance to clarify the facts to him more fully.
While the process of Master's Fa-rectification is advancing rapidly, we are also intensifying our efforts when clarifying the facts to save the world's people. In the beginning, we only passed out flyers. Later, we clarified the facts on websites, in newspaper, and on radio and TV to shock the evil from all directions. The intensity of our efforts is increasing. At the same time, Fa-rectification makes higher requirements of us. Additionally, Master publishes new articles and gives lectures in various Fa-conferences to guide our cultivation. Every time, when Master's new lecture was published, I read it ten times right then, and could almost recite some paragraphs. Through studying the Fa repeatedly, I thought over the meaning in Master's lectures and the new requirements for us. However, I still felt I could not catch the course of Master's Fa-rectification. Especially when I read what Master said in "Teaching the Fa at the 2001 Canada Fa Conference:" "…different things will happen in different histories of the future. This Great Fa of the cosmos is to leave for sentient beings at different levels in different periods of history a reference for when problems occur in different periods at different levels, and is to leave for beings ways of handling all kinds of situations that occur at different times in history. That is, all the types of problems that manifest today are references being left to history. The manifestations are complicated and they seem random, but in fact they are very well ordered. They are being left for history [to demonstrate] how problems that will occur in different periods in the future should be handled." My thoughts suddenly froze. In the past, though I knew that everything for assisting Master's Fa-rectification was momentous, I never thought it would be left for the future cosmic history to such a great extent. Obviously, such things cannot only rely on people's enthusiasm. So, I examined my actions. I found even though I had firm faith in the Fa, righteous thoughts and was responsible; I still mixed in many human notions. Now, I reject my human thoughts as much as possible, which purifies my Fa-rectification activities. For example, before I joined to TV team, I ran websites. Every day, I needed to upload articles. Sometimes, I wrote articles myself. I was very busy every day. But the pressure seemed to be less than when I made TV programs. It seems like it did not matter whether I uploaded one less article a day or delayed it for a while. It is totally different when making TV programs, which should be ready on time. Even a second's delay was not acceptable. Moreover, in the beginning, I was not very familiar with making TV programs and was uncertain of what to do. Additionally, we were short-handed. I often completed the TV program at the last minute. I always worked overtime. The next week's program was waiting for me just as soon as I completed this week's. There was no break. Therefore, I left some small problems in the program and did not correct them. One day I realized that, everything that we do now is not necessarily left for the future, but what is left for the future cosmic history are the realm and state of selflessness and serious responsibility to the Fa and the world's people that we embody when we do things in the current environment. After I upgraded my understanding, I am more seriously responsible for my work. No matter how small the problem, I correct it and do not leave any regret for the future.
We all know there are no role models in cultivation. Every one has his own cultivation path. Cultivation during Fa-rectification is unprecedented and also has no reference. However, during cultivation, I feel Master is always setting good examples for us and all beings at different levels in the cosmos. Master is setting good examples for us in all aspects, from how to spread the Fa, clarify the facts and save all beings. In order to make relationships with all beings to the greatest extent, Master utilizes the old forces' arrangement. Master takes a lot of care to make all beings savable to the greatest extent possible. In Fa-rectification, Master employs all means to decrease the losses to the greatest extent and bears much of the karma of sentient beings. In order to have us obtain the Fa, cultivate and return to our true nature, Master teaches us such a profound Fa by using the simplest terms. Today, when many people's minds are poisoned, Master told us, "…when we clarify the truth to save them, we need to tailor it to the mindsets modern people have." (From "Fa-Lecture at the Conference in Florida, U.S.A.) Master's benevolence to all beings is embodied at all time and on all occasions.
In the past, I looked down upon those people who went to the opposite side during the persecution. There are several such persons in our local area. They behaved very well before July 20, 1999. However, once the persecution began, they showed their true colors. Some did not practice and some totally went over to the opposite side and slandered Dafa and Master without restraint. I scorned them very much at that time. However, in Fa-rectification, Master wants us all to have benevolent solutions and does not wish any life to be eliminated. Master said in "Touring North America to Teach the Fa," "As for those who've gone to the opposite side during this persecution or even done awful things, let me tell you that Master still doesn't want to abandon them." When I read this paragraph, I was deeply ashamed of my previous thoughts. In this aspect, I should assimilate into Master's Fa at once and treat all lives benevolently. So I called one of the persons and enthusiastically clarified the truth to him. After a year's efforts, although he did not return to Dafa completely, his previous evil thoughts about Dafa and Master are already gone.
Next, I wish to speak about why we cannot stay on any level during cultivation.
In the past, when I did not cultivate, I often liked to compete with others when driving. I dared to pass other cars even on winding roads in the Rocky Mountains as a height of over ten thousand feet. After I began to cultivate, I drove in a very steady way and never thought there would be any other problems. However, once when another fellow practitioner and I drove to attend the Fa conference, he drove very fast. It was beyond my understanding and shocked me. He felt my discomfort and told me his understanding of driving. Actually, it is very normal to drive fast at some times and slow at other times. When you feel you should drive at a very steady speed, it would become an attachment. At that time, I suddenly recalled a paragraph of Master's lecture on eating meat in Zhuan Falun: "The point isn't to eat meat or not to, what's key is to get rid of that attachment." During the Fa-rectification, all our notions are changing. I recalled many practitioners had different thoughts about setting up a parade when we first prepared for it. Later, when we ran websites, newspapers and even TV programs, we were constantly breaking the inherent patterns and notions level by level. Actually, all formats in human world may be utilized by us and utilized by the Fa. Fa-rectification could never be limited and restricted. Master said Dafa practitioner's cultivation in Fa-rectification would not be restricted. That is, our cultivation does not end. Regardless of which level we currently are, there are higher levels above it. Therefore, we cannot stay at any level and should strive forward ceaselessly.
Finally, I want to talk briefly about an experience of studying the Fa:
Although I read through the paragraph of Fa-lecture on Pan Gu's creating heaven and earth many times, I never had any profound understanding. However, one day when I saw the sentence again, I felt shocked and immediately understood the true meaning of this sentence. My tears rushed down in a torrent. It is really beyond language to describe Master's great and infinite benevolence to all beings in cosmos. "Pan Gu finally converted his body all of a sudden to heaven, earth, mountains, rives and starts in the sky." Our merciful and great Master created such a boundless Dafa, created such infinite cosmic firmament and all materials from microcosmic to macrocosmic, as well as all element in life and the cosmic firmament. But he does not want any thing, even his name. "I have neither form nor name… I have nothing." (From "Touring North America to Teach the Fa") Master is also
"Taking care of all human affairs,
Looking after heavenly suffering."

What a realm it is! Language really is really unable to express it.
Master said in the "Fa-Lecture During the 2003 Lantern Festival at the U.S. West Fa Conference:" "I can tell you, all those things that you do are actually done for yourselves–not a single thing is done for me." I understand, probably because we still have human hearts, self and selfishness to certain extent, Master just said such words. Maybe some day, Master will say to us: "I can tell you, all those things that you do are not done for yourselves, but totally for all of your beings." I think, at that time, it probably is the highest realm we will reach during the Fa-rectification. Nothing belongs to us. We do not seek anything and also do not want anything. All things are done for the Fa and all beings.
