[Pureinsight.org] I was born in a small village in the north. In 1995, Falun Dafa began spreading in the village. After practicing Dafa, villagers measured their words and actions with the principles of "Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance," improved their morals, considered others in everything they did, and actively participated in spreading the practice. People genuinely felt the beauty of Falun Dafa, and the number of practitioners increased. By July 20, 1999, nearly 100 people in our village were practicing Falun Gong.
On July 20, 1999, everything changed dramatically. The Jiang regime launched a persecution against the kind-hearted Falun Gong practitioners using the most evil means, which has continued for 25 years and persists to this day. The CCP (Chinese communist party), along with personnel from the 610 Office, directed the police, prosecutors, courts, and judicial system to carry out illegal arrests, forced labor, imprisonment, kidnapping, detention, home raids, brainwashing, harassment, surveillance, stalking, fines, and job dismissals against Falun Gong practitioners. They also cruelly harvested organs from living practitioners while the media relentlessly spread lies to slander the founder of Falun Dafa and its disciples.
This article recounts cases of persecution against Falun Gong practitioners that I have witnessed, exposing the cruelty and evil of the CCP. Practitioner Li Shulan, a kind rural woman, always had a charitable smile on her rosy face after practicing Dafa. All her ailments disappeared after she started practicing. She was warm-hearted and always helped fellow practitioners selflessly. She was energetic, and one could always sense boundless strength in her.
After July 20, 1999, Li Shulan went to Beijing several times to appeal and clarify the truth about Falun Gong to the government, even writing a letter to then-Premier Zhu Rongji. Because she refused to give up practicing Falun Gong, she was illegally sentenced to forced labor in 2000 and tortured in the labor camp. After escaping the labor camp, she was kidnapped and sent to a local brainwashing center in 2003, where she was forcibly administered large amounts of unknown drugs that targeted the central nervous system. Shortly after returning home, she fell into a state of confusion. The last time I saw Li Shulan was at the end of 2016. She was emaciated, curled up on her bed, her mind muddled. I could hardly believe my eyes—was this the once-vibrant fellow practitioner Li? Not long after, Li Shulan passed away.
Falun Gong practitioner Li Hefen, also a simple rural woman, began practicing Falun Dafa in 1996. After practicing, she benefited both physically and mentally and voluntarily established a study group at her home. After the CCP began persecuting Falun Gong, her home continued to be used for the study group. Because she persisted in telling the truth about Falun Gong to the government and the public, she was illegally detained for a month, held in a brainwashing center for several weeks, and harassed countless times, causing severe physical and mental trauma. On January 15, 2021, Li Hefen passed away in grief. On the day of her death, the village officials, under the pretext of epidemic prevention, forbade her family from burning paper or holding a farewell ceremony. Her body was hastily cremated. That afternoon, the sky suddenly darkened, and heavy snow began to fall, as if the pure white snowflakes were commemorating her or crying over the injustice suffered by this heroic soul.
Under the false peace created by the CCP, these two ordinary Falun Gong practitioners only wanted to be good people and speak the truth about Falun Gong, yet they were brutally persecuted by the CCP. The experiences of these two practitioners are just the tip of the iceberg in the persecution suffered by millions of Falun Gong practitioners. Behind this persecution lies the blood and tears of countless families.
In fact, Falun Gong practitioners' efforts to resist persecution and clarify the truth are not for themselves but for all Chinese people. Look at China today—the CCP's suppression of "Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance" has led to a loss of moral standards, making interpersonal relationships colder. Without moral constraints, how are people different from demons? The endless issues with food safety, social violence, school bullying, and violent law enforcement by public officials make every Chinese people suffer—everyone is a victim.
Therefore, the world needs "Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance," and the CCP is the most evil entity. In the face of the most brutal persecution in human history, Falun Gong practitioners have peacefully and rationally told people about the beauty of Falun Dafa for over 25 years, awakening the justice and conscience of the world and bringing golden light to a troubled world. Only by dismantling the CCP and stopping the persecution of Falun Gong will humanity have hope and a future.
