[PureInsight.org] Master clearly stated in Wake Up, "The Fa’s rectification of the Cosmos has finished, and now a transition to the Fa’s rectification of the human world is taking place." As we approach the end of the year, many significant events have occurred amidst the chaos of the world, including the recent conclusion of the U.S. elections. Related to our Dafa situation, as the year draws to a close, Shen Yun, the Feitian Academy, and even Master have come under attack from evil. There have been various malicious reports against Falun Gong, media lawsuits, and continuous slander from pro-CCP media such as the New York Times, all of which have negatively impacted Dafa, Shen Yun, and the media.
Some individual theaters have canceled Shen Yun performances, and ticket sales in certain cities have been somewhat affected. The global premiere in Atlanta faced threats of a terrorist attack. In the face of continuous attacks on Dafa, my own response has been quite sluggish, as if something is separating me, resulting in a state of indifference and numbness, feeling helpless and unmoved. For instance, last Friday, I learned about the suggestion to write to the White House and the U.S. State Department to share the truth; that evening, upon returning home, I opened the White House and State Department websites but did not write the letter. Later, I forwarded the suggestion to several fellow practitioners, asking them to write. However, I still didn't take action, using my involvement in other projects as an excuse. I noticed that many of the fellow practitioners around me are in a similar state. As Dafa disciples during the Fa-rectification period, this state is definitely not right!
Master said in Teachings at the Conference in Switzerland, "When it comes to any matter in which you know I’ve participated, you have to consider the matter from my perspective. That’s something you’ve neglected before. Troubles created for me are damage directed at this Fa. So it’s completely different from your passing through your hardships. It’s definitely not that your master is cultivating or that your master is passing tests. It really is damage directed at the Fa and the cosmos, so they can’t be equated. Be clear on this. "
When our Master and Dafa are under attack, if one remains in a state of indifference and numbness, it definitely indicates a serious problem in his/her cultivation state! What causes a Dafa practitioner to remain indifferent and apathetic when facing slander or destruction of Master and Dafa? Now we all know that people in this world come to validate the Fa and have made a covenant with the Creator; otherwise, it would be impossible for them to be human in this world. As practitioners of the Fa during the rectification period, we cannot use any excuses to absolve ourselves from our mission and responsibility to validate the Fa.
At this moment, when the final manifestations of the old universe are rapidly passing, it is especially important for people in the world, particularly many practitioners who have been deceived by the illusions created by the old forces, to remain rational and clear-headed. If one uses this as an excuse to avoid validating the Fa or to validate the Fa badly, then that excuse will inevitably pass along with the dissolution of the old universe. However, in the future created by the greatest Fa, the losses and regrets resulting from not being responsible for oneself will be irreparable. One should not use the concepts imposed by the old forces to justify not doing well in validating the Fa. The tribulations are human difficulties, not divine difficulties. The beautiful future of life does not exist in self-imagination and self-setting. The true outcome of a life’s future depends on what that life does in the present before the Fa rectification has concluded.
This is just like what Master said in Fa Teaching at the 2016 New York Fa Conference, “You once signed a contract with me when you came to this world, vowing to save those sentient beings. You could then become a Dafa disciple, and you could then do this thing.” “Is that simply just a matter of not cultivating diligently? That is an extremely serious crime! An unparalleled crime! You say that you will just call out to Master when the time comes and say, ‘Master, I did not cultivate well.’ Is that the end of this? Who can let you pass? Will those old forces let you pass? How serious a matter is this?!”
From my personal understanding, everything that is happening now is merely Master using these remnants of the old universe to help disciples cultivate and improve, nothing more. As Master said in the last sentence of The Ordeals Our Spiritual Discipline Faces, "And during these ordeals, lives are being chosen to either remain or be sifted out in the end, and just as much is at stake for our Dafa practitioners."
I remember at a Fa conference before the persecution in 1999, Dafa disciples were all anxious. During the Teachings at the Midwestern U.S. Conference, a disciple asked a question: “Student: Master, please tell us, when Jesus was about to be crucified, what were all of his disciples doing? Master, please relay this to people around the world and in the heavens: We Dafa disciples will absolutely not allow such a thing to happen.
Master: (Warm applause) Thank you! Cultivators should not be affected by human thoughts, as you are cultivators. I thank you all for your heartfelt feelings about Dafa and Master. I know them all.”
Therefore, when tribulations arise, the tests for each person are also a great testimony for the Fa's transition to the human world and the distinction between human and deities! How to break through the difficulties arranged by the old evil factors, how to eliminate various attachments and human sentiments, and how to better validate the Fa and save more sentient beings have become profound considerations and practical actions for every true Dafa disciple.
Master stated in the Teaching the Fa at the 2003 Atlanta Fa Conference, “All beings in the Three Realms came for the Fa and were created for the Fa. In other words, this includes all forms in the Three Realms, including all the various forms that exist in human society, among which, of course, are today's laws, as well as the other forms belonging to mankind. Since all these were created by the Fa, why can't they be used by Dafa in validating the Fa? They can. But we choose those that are upright and good, and serve a positive role.” I personally believe that we, Dafa practitioners as a whole, must have a very clear understanding that we need to use the law of the human world and the principles of humanity to maintain the manifestation of the cosmic Dafa in the human realm.
After studying the Master's new article Our Practice and the Term “Religion”, it has become clearer that the manifestation of the cosmic Dafa in the human world is cultivation, and in human society, it belongs to religious groups. In discussions with some fellow practitioners, we realized that "in the United States, religious groups are protected by the Constitution. Freedom of belief ranks first in the human rights provisions of the U.S. Constitution. If someone’s prosecution uses certain laws and regulations to harm, defame, or falsely accuse an individual's freedom of belief, then that prosecution will be invalid." (This is a general idea; the specifics should be defined by legal professionals.) In reality, the CCP's evil manipulation of people to use so-called "labor laws" to sue the Shen Yun Performing Arts is unfounded. We know that volunteering in religious groups without any payment is a tradition in American churches and other religious organizations, and is accepted by society as a whole. We all need to do our utmost to clarify these truths.
In the lawsuits against Shen Yun, a foreigner (i.e. a Taiwanese woman) has initiated a lawsuit in her personal capacity. Where does she get such financial resources and energy to mobilize the New York Times, various CCP agents and internet trolls? How can she simultaneously hire three major American law firms to exploit loopholes in the U.S. law for frivolous lawsuits? Is there a hidden hand of the CCP manipulating and instructing behind this? What is their objective?
As revealed in a recent special report by the World Organization to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong, "the CCP's high-level officials are intensifying attacks on overseas Falun Gong, Shen Yun, and The Epoch Times through secret plans," which clearly states that the CCP is plotting various means and activating all infiltrators, including high-level internal operatives within Falun Gong, to deliver a "fatal blow" to Falun Gong and the American officials who support Falun Gong at critical moments, aiming to achieve the goal of eliminating Falun Gong from the United States.
All of these, as U.S. Congressman Scott Perry, the sponsor of the "Falun Gong Protection Act" said that it is deeply concerning that a hostile nation is attempting to exploit our federal government to punish their ideological opponents—this is completely over the line. He also stated that the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) is essentially a criminal organization in control of a nation, and if it implements new repression strategies against Falun Gong in the United States, shutting down consulates and other diplomatic measures are options we can consider.
Democratic Congressman James McGovern spoke about the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) vicious persecution of Falun Gong and other groups in China, stating that everyone should stand up and condemn such actions. He emphasized that the U.S. must hold the CCP accountable for its transnational repression, and ensure that U.S. residents do not have to live in fear of any foreign government.
Republican Congressman Tom Tiffany expressed deep concern over the CCP's actions. He previously introduced legislation calling for the closure of the CCP's consulate in New York and the expulsion of CCP diplomats. He stated that he hopes Congress can combat the CCP's transnational intimidation efforts, expel disguised spies, and shut down their offices.
These points underscore the importance of every practitioner understanding this situation thoroughly and stepping forward to inform the public about these truths during the promotion of Shen Yun. This will prevent the old forces from using the CCP's evil tactics to harm and eliminate people through ever-changing schemes.
At present, practitioners must continue to focus on sending forth righteous thoughts to eliminate evil in other dimensions, while also prioritizing on pacifying the external by cultivating the internal. Local practitioners should make a concerted effort to participate in group Fa-study sessions, including large-group sessions and targeted discussions after small-group studies. It is also recommended to restore online local exchanges. Individual misunderstandings should not lead to abandoning the practice altogether. The diversity of practitioners’ levels of understanding makes such exchanges and mutual encouragement all the more necessary.
Master said in Fa Teaching Given at the NTDTV Meeting, “You should open your hearts and not exclude your fellow cultivators. If you fail to do so, you are obstructing and stopping yourselves.” Especially during this critical and urgent time for promoting Shen Yun, we should adhere to Master’s teachings and work together as one cohesive body across all regions.
The various attachments we exhibit in this dimension—fame, profit, sentimentality, selfishness, and all thoughts and notions that do not align with Dafa—manifest as material factors in other dimensions that the old forces use to obstruct the rectification of the Fa. Each attachment and acquired notion corresponds to beings in different levels and realms of the cosmos. Everyone must quickly cultivate themselves well and transcend their human mindset to witness the awakening of the divine.
We must also eliminate the mentality of seeking comfort and simply passing the days. The old forces aim to eliminate those who are not diligent and do not align with the Fa, and Master is using their manifestations to temper genuine disciples. It’s essential to recognize that at this final moment of history within the old universe, stepping forward to validate the Fa and vigorously promoting Shen Yun is of utmost importance. Merely studying the Fa, reading books at home, or practicing for hours, including extended holding of the wheel posture, constitutes only a part of cultivation, not the entirety. One must understand that “Accomplishing is cultivating” (from Solid Cultivation in Hong Yin), not just “doing it is cultivation.” During this process, clarifying the truth to people everywhere about how the CCP currently employs various means to defame Falun Gong, Shen Yun, and The Epoch Times is what the Fa-rectification currently requires most from Dafa disciples. As long as we hold the desire and intention to act, each Dafa disciple will be endowed with the abilities and wisdom bestowed by Dafa. Together, we will find better ways to stop the arrangements of the evil forces!
Master said in Teachings at the 2004 International Conference in New York, “Some people who started studying the Fa in the earlier period say that they read the book at home and that they won’t go out and do the things that Dafa disciples must do. I’m thinking that those people are not too far away from having a wicked understanding, and they are lucky if they haven’t begun to stray. Over the past few years, Dafa disciples have been validating the Fa amidst the persecution and saving beings through clarifying the truth. Those people won’t improve at all, no matter how much they may read the book at home. If you don’t do the things that Dafa disciples should do, not only won’t you improve, but you will only slide downwards. ‘Dafa disciple’… ‘Dafa disciple,’ what does being a ‘Fa-Rectification Period Dafa Disciple’ mean? It is the foremost title and the most magnificent being in the cosmos. If you only care about your own salvation, will that do? How could that be called being a ‘Dafa disciple’? What is a ‘Fa-Rectification Period Dafa Disciple’? Have you validated the Fa? You came when Dafa benefited you, yet you hid out and didn’t dare to speak up for Dafa when it faced danger. You have shown yourself to be less worthy than an ordinary person, so what’s the point of ‘studying the Fa at home’? All beings are being poisoned in the persecution, so how could you feel at ease being in hiding? Why are Dafa disciples clarifying the truth and saving beings? Because that is Dafa disciples’ duty. That is the kind of being that I, Li Hongzhi, want, and a Dafa disciple is that kind of cultivator.”
Since Master’s new article The Ordeals Our Spiritual Discipline Faces was published, as an older practitioner who obtained the Fa before the persecution began in 1999, I have deeply felt the destruction the evil forces have inflicted on our various projects and the tests faced by each practitioner during this period. Due to the timing not yet being ripe, some manifestations and methods of the evil forces used are not suitable to be openly discussed at present and can only be described as shocking and appalling. While compiling this article, I reflected on exchanges with fellow practitioners and my own personal experiences in the matters I have participated in. These have vividly testified to the sinister and vicious conduct of the evil forces during the clash between righteousness and wickedness, the earth-shaking storms, and the profound wisdom imparted by Master and the righteous gods during the process of validating the Fa.
During the process of writing this article, I came to realize the intricate and vast array of tricks the old forces have manifested in the human world and the profound and boundless nature of Dafa. Approaching it from any perspective feels as vast as the ocean, leaving one at a loss for words. Limited by my own realm, I understand things in my heart but struggle to express them accurately. What I have written is incomplete and superficial in the face of Dafa’s majesty. Regarding the current situation, here is my one-sentence reflection: Every Dafa disciple in the Fa-rectification period should shoulder the responsibility of validating the Fa as if they were a coordinator. Without waiting or relying on others, we should unleash our wisdom and power, as our innate side knows what to do. Act quickly, dedicate ourselves fully, and use the abilities granted by Dafa to immediately stop the persecution and save more sentient beings!
Finally, let us encourage each other with a passage from Master’s lectures in Fa Teaching on World Falun Dafa Day, “For what was it that your life journeyed through history to this day? For just one, brief moment. In the long river of time, this stretch is really but a moment. Don’t be so passive and down—get going! You are a cultivator. Sentient beings are waiting for you to save them!”
