[PureInsight.org] In September, 2003 a group of Russian-speaking practitioners attended the Falun Dafa International Conference in Moscow. I want to share some of the more memorable events I experienced there.
Due to the economic circumstances, a simultaneous translation of experiences was not provided at the conference. For English-speaking practitioners we had to translate them in advance and they were simply reading them during their speech. After the official part of the conference was over, practitioners who wanted to share their experiences came to the stage and used the microphone.
I remember very well one Ukrainian practitioner's story about an elderly man, his wife's uncle, who lived in another city. He and his wife tried to tell him about the Fa, but he couldn't comprehend it. After a while they received the news that their uncle was very sick and went blind. The practitioner's wife immediately went to see him. When she arrived, she began to read to the uncle the book Zhuan Falun. In a while, the elderly man said that though he could not see with his eyes, he could see in another way. The practitioner's wife realized that he had his third eye opened. The uncle told her, that each time when his niece was reading the book to him, in a room there came children in long clothes, but he couldn't see their faces because they were shining. They would silently come in and form a semicircle. The uncle saw that the children were getting older and older while the niece was reading the book. While she was reading the ninth chapter, they became adults.
An experience that one of the practitioners shared touched everybody's heart.
It happened last summer, during Luo Gan's visit to CNG countries. He visited several countries, former USSR republics, in which there are no Falun Dafa practitioners. Russian practitioners learned about the forthcoming visit of the head of the "610 Office" several days in advance. They immediately started to look for the necessary information for registration of the judicial claim against Luo Gan for carrying out the genocide policy against Falun Dafa practitioners. There was no time, there were not enough people. And here two practitioners, mother and daughter, decided to go to Armenia, which was one of the countries that Luo Gan was going to visit. On arriving in Armenia, they unsuccessfully tried to catch a taxi. At this time, the owner of a personal car approached them and offered to take them to the city. On the way, the practitioners told him about Falun Dafa, about persecution in China and about the part that Luo Gan played in it. Having heard all this, the man offered to take them to the notary office. When they explained there that they wanted to register a judicial claim against Luo Gan, they encountered many difficulties which they were able to overcome. They did register the judicial claim against him. During their stay in Armenia, the driver of the car helped them with everything. He even invited them to stay in his house.
So, in a foreign country, not knowing the language and the laws, two practitioners, mother and daughter, were able to register a judicial claim against Luo Gan.
It is impossible to forget one of the meetings with Russian students.
Once, at the end of one of the conference days, they invited us to their hotel and asked us very much to tell them about the Teacher whom they never saw. It was a very difficult task because it is simply impossible to describe in human language this combination of Great Love, Huge Gratitude, Deepest Peace and Happiness when you see him. So, we, American practitioners, one by one, shared the treasured memoirs on what feelings we experienced when we listened and looked at the Teacher, preaching the Law to us. We told them that during His lecture, many of us couldn't stop thinking: "Teacher please do not leave, stay with us at least for a short while!" And no matter how much you struggle with yourself, you can do nothing, because you so much don't want him to leave!
I recalled that 6 years ago at a Dafa conference in Los Angeles I saw our Teacher for the first time, and right after His lectures an extremely violent pain in my back, that had not allowed me to sit, miraculously disappeared. I also told them about the second day of the conference, when during all the time while Teacher was lecturing on the Fa, I clearly saw a wonderful light, like a rainbow, surrounding our dearest Teacher.
Another practitioner and I recalled that after the conference we were standing in a hall when Teacher passed by. We could not move and couldn't take our eyes off of Him. He smiled to us with such a light, kind and dear smile that it still warms our hearts. One of us said that she received from him a badge with Falun emblem after one of the conferences, and for her it is the most precious thing in the world.
It is difficult to believe, but in that small hotel room about 60 people gathered! Some of us were standing almost on one leg. We were telling our stories, and we were sitting motionless, and listening with rapt attention. Many of us cried …
During the meeting, a feeling of guilt did not leave me. I thought: "Look at these people, all of them are practitioners, the same as you, and never saw the Teacher. With what fascination and respect they looked at those who had that great honor of meeting Teacher! And whether I understand well enough how fortunate I am and how it is necessary to value it? " This meeting left a deep imprint in my heart; I understood a lot then.
It is much more difficult for Russian practitioners to practice the Fa than it is for us. And the environment does not give as much freedom of action as in other countries. As Teacher said about it in the final chapter of Zhuan Falun: "… Only by being among the most complex group of people and in the most complex environment can one cultivate the high-level gong..."
