[PureInsight.org] Falun Gong is a peaceful group of cultivation practices that teaches its practitioners to live by the principles of Truth, Compassion and Forbearance. It is by no means a political organization because it has no political agenda, motive or interest. It does not harbor any goal to overthrow the Chinese Communist government or any other government in the world. What Falun Gong practitioners worldwide ask of their governments is the freedom of spiritual belief and the most fundamental human rights that every human being on earth deserves. As cultivation practice, Falun Gong can never become a political movement to overthrow any political regime.
For the past five years since July 20, 1999, Falun Gong practitioners worldwide insist on appealing for Falun Gong with only non-violent approaches. Despite the fact that the Chinese Communist regime has deprived them of their legal rights and freedom, and subjected them to illegal arrests, tortures and even death, Falun Gong practitioners in Mainland China continue to seek peaceful solutions. They refuse to use violence to stop the violence against themselves. Instead, they insist on peacefully appealing to people worldwide and seek their help to end the persecution peacefully. During their appeals, they clarify the truth about Falun Gong and the Chinese Communist regime's persecution of Falun Gong. In addition, Falun Gong practitioners outside of China have filed multiple lawsuits in many different countries worldwide against Jiang Zemin and his henchmen for their attempted genocide of Falun Gong practitioners, and their tortures and crimes against humanity. It is also a legal and non-violent way to seek justice.
In order to justify and sustain their persecution against Falun Gong, Jiang Zemin and the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) have created numerous lies in their hate propaganda against Falun Gong. One of their most malicious lies is that it is Falun Gong's political agenda to overthrow the Chinese Communist regime. After the Epoch Times published the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party, the CCP inverted the truth and accused Falun Gong practitioners of becoming political.
Falun Gong practitioners could not be less interested in politics. They have no choice but to reveal the CCP's history of lies and deceits in order to end the CCP's persecution and to safeguard Falun Gong practitioners' basic human rights and freedom of spiritual belief. Jiang Zemin and the CCP do not represent China, the Chinese government or the Chinese people, but they falsely accuse Falun Gong practitioners of being political, anti-Chinese government and anti-China. It is but a lame excuse to justify and sustain the persecution. It is the biggest deceit of all time.
According to incomplete statistics, at least 1,530 Falun Gong practitioners have been verified as being tortured to death in China as of March 21, 2005 since July 20, 1999. However, according to the Chinese Communist government's official internal statistics, the actual number of practitioners who died after being arrested had reached 1,600 by the end of 2001. In addition, there are at least 6,000 Falun Gong practitioners who have been illegally sentenced to prison. Over 100,000 practitioners have been sentenced to forced labor camps. Thousands of practitioners have been forcefully sent to psychiatric hospitals to be tortured with injections that are damaging to the central nervous system. Large groups of Falun Gong practitioners have been forcefully sent to local brainwashing classes, where they have been subjected to both physical and mental torture. Many more practitioners have been severely beaten and had large sums of money extorted from them by so-called "law-enforcement officials." When large numbers of Falun Gong practitioners are beaten to death, injured, and their families are broken up, when they have to leave home and go from place to place because of the persecution, millions of Falun Gong practitioners' families, relatives, good friends and colleagues are also implicated and brainwashed to varying degrees.
But the appalling persecution still goes on today after five long years. Silence will only encourages the villains' most heinous crimes in human history. We urge all the good Samaritans worldwide to extend your help to end the horrific persecution against innocent Falun Gong practitioners that has lasted more than five years.
