[PureInsight.org] At the end of last year, a group of local practitioners had a discussion regarding the Nine Commentaries on the Communist party. A practitioner asked, "If we invite the ordinary people to read the commentaries, they might say that we are getting involved in politics and the commentaries are aiming at a government and a political party. How would we respond to that?" Everyone jumped in and enthusiastically tried to answer the question from many different angles. Practitioners said that the purpose of the commentaries is not to get involved in politics, but rather to let people understand the real nature of the Communist party so more people will be able to see through it and won't be deceived by it anymore. Other practitioners said that if the Communist Party hadn't persecuted us, then we wouldn't need to expose its true nature. The more we discussed, the clearer the issue became in our minds and the more we understood our historical mission of saving sentient beings.
During the last several days, I have been reading Master's new lectures and the newest article, "We Are Not 'Getting Political'." It is even clearer to me now that we have never gotten involved in politics. Everything we've done has been necessary for Fa rectification and for saving sentient beings. Through studying the Fa, I have also gained a deep appreciation of the boundless compassion of our Master.
Master said in the Fa Lecture during the 20003 Lantern Festival at the U.S. West Fa Conference, "I disregard all the sins beings have committed in the past! (Applause) During this Fa-rectification I only look at beings' attitudes toward the Fa-rectification!" He also said while explaining the Fa, "What I wanted was for none of the sentient beings to interfere, for them all to wait there, and I would have gone forward rectifying things, and the worst beings, however bad they might be, and no matter what kind of mistakes they'd made in history, all of them could have reached Consummation while just staying put. Wouldn't that have been great?!" Master wants to find a benevolent solution for every single life in the universe, including the old forces. The Communist Party is the result of the old forces' arrangement. In the case of lives that have aligned themselves with the Communist Party, including the worst of them, doesn't Master still try to offer them benevolent solutions?
Look at the road we have traveled, Master has always given these beings chance after chance. When the Chinese government first began their persecution of Falun Gong, Master Li wrote on July 22, 1999 in "A Brief Statement of Mine", "We are not against the government now, nor will we be in the future. Other people may treat us badly, but we do not treat others badly, nor do we treat people as enemies."
I remember when Falun Gong was being persecuted, with compassion in their hearts, Dafa disciples from all over the world sent letters to the Chinese government, explaining to them the truth. They told the Chinese officials that the persecution is so wrong and requesting them to stop the persecution. Tens of thousands of disciples in Mainland China went to Beijing to appeal. What they were met with was arrest, detainment, torture and genocide. Disciples outside of China went to consulates to peacefully appeal. Every letter or appeal was denied. The disciples received harassment. Any disciples who had Chinese passports or wanted visas, their documents were confiscated or visas refused.
Although they've received all kinds of extreme injustice, in these five years Dafa disciples in Mainland China still risk their lives to tell the truth to people. Disciples outside of China appeal to the governments of various countries to help resolve the crisis in China, and end this tragedy. Again and again, everyone gathered in Geneva to appeal to the United Nations International Human Rights Committee and representatives from various countries to help stop the persecution of Falun Gong. We wholeheartedly inform the people that it was the Jiang's organization that persecuted Falun Gong. We do not oppose the Chinese government; we are merely calling for the cessation of the persecution. When Zhu Rongji visited overseas, practitioners greeted him with compassion and asked him to help wisely resolve the issue of Falun Gong. When Wen Jiabao visited overseas, practitioners greeted him the same, asking him to punish the criminal chief Jiang XX, and stop the persecution. Of course everything we do isn't to oppose the Chinese government, and to overthrow the regime isn't our goal. Rather, our goal is to use the most peaceful and reasonable method to reveal and stop the persecution Jiang's organization [caused].
However, confronted with the enormous compassion and forbearance of the practitioners, the Communist Chinese government has further intensified its persecution. The old forces created the Communist Party, not only to make it persecute Dafa to the greatest extent, but to also use this opportunity to destroy people as well. The people who came to this world today are here for Dafa, especially the people who came to historic stage of China. However, countless numbers of these people are facing the danger of elimination. Dafa disciples became their only hope for being saved. Our revealing the natural qualities of the Communist Party is to awake the people poisoned by their propaganda machine and thus save them.
In Teaching the Fa at the 2004 International Fa Conference in New York, Master said, "If you didn't persecute us, we wouldn't want to have anything to do with you, and we wouldn't want to say anything about you. The lives of so many Dafa disciples have been taken, and the persecution continues. How evil! Also, the Party has used the one-sided media to broadcast slanderous propaganda to every corner of the earth, and it's even worse than that of the Cultural Revolution. It is targeting a group of such good and kind people. Even if I forbear it and tolerate it, none of the gods will stand for it!" Dafa is both compassionate and serious. To reveal the essence of the Communist Party wasn't something that we should have done when the persecution was just beginning. That's because Master is saving every being in the universe on a bigger scale, and compassionately giving them the chance. What we do is by no means being interested in politics. In Master's "Beyond the Limits of Forbearance" in Essentials for Further Advancement II, Master said, "If the evil has already reached the point where it is unsaveable and unkeepable, then various measures at different levels can be used to stop it and eradicate it."
Thus, exposing and eradicating the communist party is a necessity of Fa rectification, it is the choice of the universe, and also compassionately saving sentient beings.
