introduction to China in the Han Dynasty, Buddhism has remained popular
without decline for thousands of years. People are grateful for and
admire Buddha's great compassion and obtain blessings and universal
salvation from the great beings who are enlightened in the Buddha's Fa.
Among them, Bodhisattva Guan Yin is the most known and well respected
by people. It is said that the title of Guan Shi Yin came from the fact
that this Bodhisattva could see and hear things in this world and thus
identify people to save. In history, there are many stories about
Bodhisattva Guan Yin saving people from sufferings and using different
ways to save people at different times. Sometimes she saved
several people, sometimes she saved a village, and sometimes she saved
a whole city of people. Adding them all up, it would amount to several
hundred million people. Even in modern times the stories of the
Bodhisattva miraculously saving people count in the hundreds.
To an atheist, a story of Bodhisattva Guan Yin saving people in person
would be hard to imagine. In order to verify the facts of the stories,
I did a great deal of research on the Internet. Stories of Bodhisattva
Guan Yin saving people have been recorded throughout history in
different dynasties and they are not repeated from one another either.
It is difficult for one to believe that people in so many dynasties
were all making things up. Some people say that truths need to be
tested by time. I think that several thousands years' worth of stories
should be sufficient to test the truth of Bodhisattva Guan Yin. These
stories prove that cultivation in the Buddha school offers salvation to
all beings. In fact, throughout the history of China and other
countries, Bodhisattva Guan Yin's saving people from suffering in
person is not unique. In western religions, there are also recorded
instances of disciples receiving responses from their prayers to God,
Jesus or St. Mary and thus avoiding dangers. In "Journey to the West,"
when Tang Seng (monk of Tang) and his three disciples passed through
the Che Chi Country, Wu Kong distributed a hair to each suffering monk,
and they received protection from Wu Kong as long as they called out
the name "Qi Tian Da Sheng." Chinese people have a saying that there
are enlightened beings three feet above one's head and when people are
sincere and have faith, they will be protected and helped by these
deities. This is also one of the characteristics of Falun Dafa.
Falun Dafa is also a cultivation of the orthodox Fa and therefore these
kinds of things will happen. In February 2004, the Clearwisdom website
started to report on stories of ordinary people who escaped from
difficulties by reciting "Falun Dafa is good" and "Zhen Shan Ren is
good." These types of stories have continued to be reported since then.
Especially in recent times there have been two or three such reports
per day. In one such report from August 2004, eight year-old Yu Chun
visited her aunt and the aunt told her the truth about Falun Gong and
told her to be sure to remember "Falun Dafa is good" and "Zhen, Shan,
Ren is good." Ever since then, Yu Chun recited "Falun Dafa is good" and
"Zhen, Shan, Ren is good" everyday. On the third day after Yu Chun
returned home, while playing at a market place, she was knocked down to
the ground by a fast moving tricycle and a wheel of the tricycle ran
over Yu Chun's stomach with a "kung" sound the moment she fell down.
The people nearby were all shocked and rushed the child's mud covered
body to the hospital. After a series of careful examinations with
X-ray's etc., the doctors found that everything was normal with neither
internal nor external injuries on Yu Chun. She didn't even have any
bleeding or scratched skin. Both the doctors and the people who sent
her to the hospital felt it hard to believe. Within three months after
this incident, death once again threatened Yu Chun. On November 3rd,
after waking up in the morning, Yu Chun's nose suddenly started to
bleed without stopping. After getting a blood transfusion at the
hospital, she began vomiting large amounts of blood. The county
hospital diagnosed her as having congenital heart disease and because
of the excessive loss of blood, her life was in danger. Upon hearing
the news, Yu Chun's aunt hurried to the hospital. When she arrived, the
child had already lost consciousness and was on her death bed. The aunt
repeatedly spoke, "Falun Dafa is good," "Zhen, Shan, Ren is good" into
the ear of Yu Chun and said to her, "Follow me and say it." Before
long, Yu Chun's mouth moved and a weak intermittent voice came out
saying: "Falun Dafa is good," "Zhen, Shan, Ren is good." Yu Chun slowly
opened her eyes and said quietly to everyone with a smile: "Dafa is
good." The whole family was touched to tears when they saw that she was
out of danger. Several days later, Yu Chun recovered, and both the
doctors and the patients at the hospital had witnessed the magnificence
and beauty of Dafa.
Examples such as Yu Chun's are numerous. An elderly person recovered
from late stage stomach cancer, a child recovered from arrhythmia, and
a middle-aged person who suffered from two types of cancer all
recovered after reciting the verses. Based on a rough estimation,
examples of surviving dangers and living through crises number at least
around two thousand cases. In recent years, there have also been
several hundred cases of people experiencing miracles and gaining a
better quality of life after withdrawing from the CCP. That's part of
the reason why Falun Gong practitioners always hold banners like "Falun
Dafa is Good," "Zhen, Shan, Ren is good," "Heaven eliminates the CCP"
and "Keep yourself safe by withdrawing from the CCP" at parades and
other events. These slogans are miraculously effective and should
naturally be spread widely to help ordinary people keep out of danger.
It's wonderful!
Falun Gong has miraculous effects. Do Falun Gong practitioners only
care about themselves and are they not concerned about their country or
the earthquake victims as the Xinhua news agency (the official
mouthpiece of the CCP) reported? The "solemn declarations" on the
Minghui website have provided us with answers. These "solemn
declarations" refer to the statements Falun Gong practitioners
published on the Minghui website to express their will to correct what
they were forced to promise, such as not practicing Falun Gong and
cursing the founder of Falun Gong, under the enormous pressure when
they were arrested and put in labor camps, brainwashing classes and
prisons. These actions against their consciences made them very hurt
and regretful, so after regaining their freedom they published a
statement of correction. There are several hundred thousand of these
statements on the Minghui website and this clearly shows the size of
the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners by the CCP. I have read
many statements and found that the things mentioned the most are
"clarifying the truth and saving sentient beings." Even after mentally
suffering so much, what they still think about is saving sentient
beings and letting them know the truth that "Falun Dafa is good" and
"Zhen, Shan, Ren is good." Even after enduring great suffering, they
are still thinking of others. How could they possibly neglect those
victims of the earthquake?
Facing the disaster of the earthquake, the victims need support and
help in different areas. However, under the CCP's policy of "Cutting
off financial resources," Falun Gong practitioners, who have very
limited savings, are worried about the victims. Money can only reduce
the victims' difficulties momentarily. How are those people going to
live their difficult life in the future? In the views of Falun Gong
practitioners, only when people know that "Falun Dafa is good," "Zhen,
Shan, Ren is good," and withdraw from the evil Party, can they have
true peace. There is a saying: "Be a good person all the way to the end
and offer salvation until people reach heaven." Aren't Falun Gong
practitioners' telling people these life-saving verses doing a really
good deed all the way to the end? Isn't this great compassion? In the
face of Falun Gong practitioners' compassion, the CCP's lies collapse
in on themselves.
Now is a time with many happenings and frequent disasters. However, the
Gods still bless China and the Chinese people. Gods have brought to
sentient beings the life-saving verses and Falun Gong practitioners,
who devote their lives to truth, defy brutality, and concern themselves
in their hearts with easing sentient beings' suffering and telling them
the truth so they can be saved. People, in the face of the next
impending disaster, what will you choose?
