[PureInsight.org] During the prime evening time from 9:30 PM to 10:00 PM on April 7th, Australian SBS TV station’s Dateline program presented a special report on Chinese Communist Party’s illegal live organ harvesting activities. Following the report, many other Australian news Media covered this event.
SBS TV’s report shows that, even though the total number of officially recognized donated organs is very limited, the actual cases of organ transplanting operations reach more than 10,000 every year in China. People outside China all know -if you want to wait for a donor’s organ, it will take a very long time. But once you get to China, the waiting time is greatly reduced. In China today, the organ transplanting business makes annual profits exceeding more than billions of Australian dollars. But where do those organs come from then?
Human rights lawyer David Matas appeared in the SBS TV’s report. Mr. Matas said in the program: “Someone is killed simply because his organ matches; there is no other way to explain the source of human organs needed for such a huge number of organ transplanting operations in China.”
A Canadian lawyer who was once nominated for the Noble Peace prize, David Kilgour has worked together with Mr. Matas for several years in investigating the Chinese government’s illegal organ harvesting activities. Mr. Matas and Mr. Kilgour have made the conclusion that majority of these human organs are from the group of Falun Gong practitioners in China. In 1999, the Chinese government decided to crack down on Falun Gong, and currently, Falun Gong is still banned in China.
A Chinese lady with the name of Annie had once worked in a hospital in China. This lady went public and said, “I have personally witnessed the cruel live cornea harvesting and live liver harvesting at the hospital that I worked at before. Some of those people that were harvested were cremated in secret even though they were still alive!” Annie’s husband was a renowned physician at that hospital. He was in charge of the live organ harvesting business then. In order to escape from such inhuman works, Annie and her husband had to leave China; Annie’s husband even faced the danger of being murdered. Annie said: “Some other people in the hospital also knew the live organ harvesting program. These people kept silent because they were afraid of being killed if they exposed the program.” Mr. Matas says that stories like the one told by Annie further validates the single reason behind the jump in the supply of organs ready for transplanting.
Mr. Matas said, “Anywhere outside China, people have to wait for months or years to get a matching organ. Now, in China, if you make an appointment for heart transplanting, you will usually get the operation done in a few days.”
Rourou Zhang is a Taiwanese that just got her kidney transplanted last year in China. In the SBS TV report, Ms. Zhang said,“I went to China on June 25th of last year to do my kidney transplanting. I waited 2 or 3 weeks to get my operation done. When I learnt later of the source of the kidney, I was shocked. I became very disturbed, because I had just got an illegal organ transplanting operation. I have to step out to make it public my own experience so that people will know what’s going on in China.”
An investigator once asked a physician in China whether the the organs came from Falun Gong practitioners. The physician by the name of Lu Guoping replied that they were.
Mr. kilgour said, “We hope all those physicians who have participated in illegal transplanting activities will be put on a blacklist. In the future, they may face criminal charges by the International Criminal Tribunal.”
The Chinese government’s crime of live organ harvesting was first exposed on March 8th, 2006. A Chinese man named Peter reported a secret concentration camp inside a prison in the Northeast city of Shenyang, Liaoning province. The camp was called Sujiatun. There were more than 6,000 Falun Gong practitioners detained in the camp. Many of the Falun Gong practitioners were killed in the camp for their organs. Their bodies were cremated inside the prison’s hospital.
As time passed, more and more people have gone public to expose this crime committed by the Chinese Communist Party.

Back on May 9th, 2013, Australian Green Party senators David Shoebridge, John Kay and Jan Barham submitted petition with over 100,000 signatures from city residents to the New South Wales Senator House, asking the state to immediately cease the illegal organ harvesting business, as well to halt all trainings of organ transplanting physicians.
According to news reported by ABC on May 21th of 2013, a Chinese physician by the name of Huang Jiefu was in Australian taking part in an organ transplanting training. As this physician had been involved in live organ harvesting in China, people came out to condemn the Chinese physician and asked the Sydney University to take back an honorary title given to the physician.
