[PureInsight.org] On 13th May, 2015, in the annual Portland Rose Starlight parade in Oregon, the elaborate “Law Ship” style festooned vehicle made by Falun Gong practitioners brought the sanctity and beauty of “Truth-Compassion-Forbearance” to community and won the top award “Sweepstakes-Best Illumination” again. According to the official report, more than 320,000 people watched this parade.
In the early morning on the very day of the parade, Falun Gong practitioners began to assemble the “Law Ship” style festooned vehicle. The preparation of this year’s work especially paid off. Every practitioner did their best and cooperated skilfully. In a short two hours, developed from nothing, a purple “Law Ship” had begun to manifest. Falun Gong practitioners adopted a brand new design for the colour and pattern of the “Law Ship”. The purple “Law Ship” was sailing on green water; the coloured lantern hung around the bottom of the “Law Ship” seemed like waves being pushed away. A series of red-crowned cranes roaming in the sky were painted on the side of the ship. The words, “Falun Dafa”, “Truth-Compassion-Forbearance” and the picture of Falun inlayed on both sides of the prow, transmitted the most precious information to people.
After 5 pm, the “Law Ship” festooned vehicle came to the appointed location waiting for the parade to start. Many passers-by were attracted by the beauty of the “Law Ship” and came over voluntarily to ask for information and took photos. A man came to learn the truth of Falun Gong and wanted to buy a yellow T-shirt with “Falun Dafa is good, stop the persecution” after seeing practitioners wearing it. He said seriously: “I want to wear it to support you.”
When the night fell, the parade with more than 100 teams began. In many festooned vehicles, Falun Dafa practitioners’ team drew the most people’s attention. Accompanied by the auspicious cranes, the “Law Ship” displayed the beauty of Falun Dafa to the people with beautiful music, splendid smiles of the fairies sitting on the lotus flower and the peaceful demonstration of the exercises. Where the “Law Ship” approached, people hailed repeatedly “Falun Dafa!” Some people gazed at the Law Ship, happiness and delightfulness flowed from their faces. Some people put their palms together to show respect, others raised highly a plate showing the full score and still more came over to do high-five with Falun Gong practitioners. Along the way the compere introduced many times that Falun Dafa is a traditional cultivation practice based on the principles of the universe, “Truth-Compassion-Forbearance”, benefiting more than 100 million people of different nations all over the world.
After the parade, many citizens saw the “Law Ship” on their way home and waved their hands to send their regards to practitioners.
