[PureInsight.org] Master said: “When one chants the Buddha’s name, one must do it single-mindedly with nothing else in mind until other portions of the brain become numb and one becomes unaware of anything, with one thought replacing thousands of others, or until each word of ‘Buddha Amitabha’ shows up before one’s eyes. Today when I memorized the section “A Clear and Clean Mind” in Zhuan Falun, I suddenly had a rational understanding about memorizing the Fa. In the past, other practitioners said that it’s good to memorize the Fa, and thus I started to do it. I benefitted from memorizing the Fa; for example, it helped me to let go of my attachments. But why did I need to memorize the Fa? I didn’t have a deep understanding of this based on the Fa. Today, when I studied this section, I understood the reason.
Master said: “Those of our practitioners with the Celestial Eye open can each see that this book looks very colorful, golden, and shiny. Each word bears the image of my fashen.” (Zhuan Falun) Master also said: “Fashen is born in one’s dantian area and is made of Fa and gong. It manifests in other dimensions.”(Zhuan Falun)
When we memorize the Fa, if we can do it single-mindedly with nothing else in mind and each word in Zhuan Falun shows up before our eyes, can we achieve this without high-level Xinxing? No. Now I understood why those practitioners who memorized the Fa well, also cultivated well. That’s because the two exist side-by-side. They are both the manifestation of the ability to cultivate well, to memorize well.
When I understood the Fa principles, I also found some of my attachments and eliminated them. I had a prejudice against a fellow practitioner. When I heard he could memorize Zhuan Falun, I took a dim view still focusing on mistakes he had made before. I didn’t use the Fa-standard to look within. That practitioner had already improved and caught up. How could he have memorized the Fa if he hadn’t improved? I found my attachment of jealousy. That practitioner was never persecuted and I should have felt happy for him, but instead I was jealous. Could it be called “fair” only if he would have been persecuted?
Persecution is arranged by the old forces. As Dafa disciples, we must oppose it completely. When a Dafa disciple has loopholes, he/she needs to get rid of them through cultivation in Dafa, not through persecution. I thank great benevolent Master for enlightening me so that I understood the Fa principles and eliminated those attachments.
