[PureInsight.org] The rapid
progress of Fa rectification is putting still higher standard
requirements on us. I noticed that the attachment to fear is preventing
us from making more rapid progress with regard to the Spectacular
project.
Previously, I made the judgment that, when talking about some event
that was organized by practitioners, it was better not to mention Falun
Gong or Falun Gong practitioners. This idea settled in my mind and
created an obstacle when organizing things, because I was always
cautious about mentioning Falun Gong.
But a great event like the New Year's Spectacular made a breakthrough
in my understanding. After we decided to hold it in our city, we
visited our "public relations" consultant and explained to him that we
would like to hold the Spectacular. He asked simply: "Why?" We gave him
explanations from various angles. We said that we want to show the
traditional Chinese culture, beauty, and so on, but he didn't seem to
quite understand. He told us directly that his perception was that we,
in fact, wanted to promote something else, but we were pretending to
promote Chinese culture. He said such an approach might well cause
problems in promotion of the Spectacular. He suggested that we should
use a plainer approach, telling people who we are and what we want.
I understood, and realized that he had pointed out an attachment in me.
I was afraid to mention Falun Gong (or the Falun Dafa Association) as
an organizer of the Spectacular because I was afraid that it might stop
some people from coming to see it. Now I have a different
understanding. The progress of Fa rectification is rapid and we should
be no longer afraid to mention Falun Gong with regard to the
Spectacular. Dafa has its dignity. When we are afraid to mention Dafa,
are we still respecting its dignity? Are we not seeking excuses for our
own attachments, especially fear?
Of course, we should do so with wisdom, but we should not let the fear to stop us from being "Zhen" (righteous) to other people.
According to our current experience, people are able to understand very
well that this is organized by Falun Gong and, some of them, who had
heared about the persecution, also expressed their sympathy with Falun
Gong and wanted to visit the show.
This is just my limited understanding at my current level, so please point out anything improper.
