believe the most is what they see, the easiest thing for people to do
is to indulge in their own wishful thinking, while the most difficult
thing is to feel satisfied.
Is there anyone who thinks that his lifestyle isn't reasonable?
Everyone thinks himself to be very rational and smart, and their
choices are at least pretty clever even if not the best.
People have many other characteristics, such as forgetfulness, chasing
after profit and avoiding harm, being skeptical, undetermined, and so
on.
The movie about Noah's Ark tells a very good story.
Although the story is so well known, who has actually learned the
lesson from it? That it is a fairy tale, legend and was fabricated. How
many people are not thinking this way? Those kinds of stories are for
entertainment after dinner and there's no need to take them seriously.
Over history, many nations have a record of a great flood, including
China. Doesn't everyone know the story of the great Yu controlling the
water? Who has truly pondered on the deeper meaning of the story and
the cause and effect of it? That was the historical record of a matter
of life or death of the human race. It was for the later generations to
not repeat the mistake and avoid ending up in tragedy.
The degenerate people are eliminated by the gods and people saved by
the gods are those who are listening to the god's words and acting
righteously.
When God gave his first warning by eliminating Sodom, Noah thought it
was too cruel. God said to him that if he could find ten righteous
persons in the city, he would not eliminate the city. Noah and his wife
tried their best to select qualified people, but could only find Lot.
His wife barely counted as one. God told them to be sure to not to look
back on their way to escaping the city. However, his wife could not
stand the curiosity and disobeyed God's words. She screamed out
hysterically and broke away from her husband's hands. The moment she
turned around to satisfy her desire to look, she died instantly and
became a dried corpse standing there. Lot controlled his sorrow and
curiosity and did not turn his head. He barely kept his life.
People did not take Sodom's elimination by heavenly fire seriously and
the morality continued to decline rapidly. Fighting, lies, laziness,
incest, and killing continued. This finally lead to God's painful
decision to eliminate the entire human race. So, there is Noah's Ark,
the much-told tale through the ages.
Noah's family was kindhearted. Many kind animals were also selected to
be saved together with Noah's family by God. However, at the very
moment the flood spread far and wide, Noah's son even became skeptical
about God out of loneliness and desperation, and had angry words with
his father, which were actually also somewhat aimed at God.
It is truly hard for people to firmly believe in something.
It is indeed very hard to hold the firm belief when the going is
difficult, to continue having faith on the path where no end can be
seen and even sacrifice one's life to safeguard the unseen truth. The
reaction of Noah's son is understandable but, after all, it's a
shameful page in one's life. Even those who had witnessed God's miracle
and God's promise still became shaky over the long and arduous waiting.
Even if one dies but has already witnessed the story and has lived more
days then those who died muddleheaded, what is there to be regretful
about? However, people in that moment won't think this way. Not being
satisfied at that moment, they will feel resentment and complain.
That's what humans are. The limitation of a life's realm can be seen at
any time. It is not the issue that higher beings do not take us
seriously; rather it's the issue of our low intelligence. It is very
hard for people to realize this point.
In comparison, Noah, the father, was more honest and righteous, and therefore could pass the test.
It is true that everything has undergone such a long history. Believe
or not? Where is the evidence? Whether it's the heavenly fire or a
great flood, aren't they against the natural laws? After all, the sun
rises from the east and sets in the west and this is a pattern that can
never be doubted.
However, if the two poles of the earth exchanged positions, the sun
would rise from the west. Yes, this must be in a science fiction. Who
can change the position of the earth? However, in the vast universe,
the dust-like stars are all rotating more orderly than a Swiss clock.
Aren't all of these arranged by a great will? Since all these can be
arranged so accurately and ingeniously, why can't the position of one
of the particles be readjusted? It just depends on if it's necessary.
Therefore, whether it's the heavenly fire or great flood, it can't be
denied without reason just because they are not the pattern of
phenomena we are used to.
Besides, gods are compassionate, not wanting anything from people or
hurting anything of people. They just ask people to believe kind words.
A cultivator is to believe in God while sacrificing and strengthening
righteous thoughts while being in pain. And he is to tell people about
the future and help them to choose their future with a determined mind.
Only in this way can he save people. If a cultivator himself is still
in a state of half believing and half not, how can he make others
believe? The suffering and joy in the process are not what people can
imagine. To determine such divine thoughts is indeed harder than
climbing up to the top of Mount Everest.
Every bit of doubt and wavering has to be eliminated. This is
cultivation and it is the process by which a being elevates its nature.
It is not a thing that something like psychology can explain. It is not
that humans and the future history will witness everything. The future,
enlightenment, and faith are things between a human and God and are
special experience in the process of a life. Atheists and those who
doubt cannot understand it. They have walked on this kind of path and
do not have such an experience in life.
World's people, what you are asked to do is to listen to the kind words
and express your ideas. No one will register you or drag you into some
group. What you need to do is simply say one thing from the bottom of
your heart. We are going different directions and don't know each
other, so what are you concerned about and where does the fear come
from? What this belief, at the bottom line, brings is eternal happiness
for a being. Why do you still not want it? I feel sad for those who
take kindness and compassion as valueless dirt and treat cultivators
who selflessly and sincerely offer salvation as a circus playing.
So, there is nothing to regret. Everyone is same, no matter whether it is you, him or me.
