[PureInsight.org] Whenever there was a break in my schedule, I often had many ideas of things I could do. For example, I could go out to clarify the truth and distribute materials, or travel to another town and help the practitioners there.
This time, I asked Master for help and then decided to travel to another town. I went to another practitioner’s place first and told him my plan. He agreed and we decided to visit practitioner A. We thus began our trip with studying Master’s new lecture “20th Anniversary Fa Teaching.” Another practitioner accompanied us.
We came to know practitioner A before the persecution started in 1999. At that time he was a practice site assistant. Upon arriving at his place, we first sent forth righteous thoughts to clean up the environment, and then talked about some recent happenings. He had confusion and concerns at the beginning, but as we continued to send forth righteous thoughts and share our understandings, his mind became clearer.
Practitioner A said that 610 Office agents came to harass him many times after the persecution started. They would even come at midnight and ransack his home. Although he knew Dafa was good, he thought it wasn’t worthwhile to be mistreated like that because he was apolitical and already old. Therefore, he hid his Dafa books in a safe place and told the officials against his will that he had stopped practicing.
Once his conscience and Buddha nature came back, he immediately asked us to show him the five sets of exercises and did them with us. He also asked us how to send forth righteous thoughts. We suggested joining the daily global exercises and encouraged him to study the Fa more and send forth righteous thoughts more. He agreed and accepted Dafa materials we gave him.
Seeing practitioner A returning to the cultivation path, I recalled some sentences of Master’s:
“With human beings... when a being can obtain the Fa today in history, it’s no ordinary thing—he’s so fortunate! But as soon as he loses the Fa, do you know what he faces? It’s really horrific, because when he fails to fulfill the major responsibilities and the huge missions that were bestowed upon him, then, accordingly, that’s like the inverse of a being’s Consummation, and he will truly have to enter the gate of no-life. You folks can’t just go and abandon a person without trying hard enough. No matter what kind of mistakes someone has made, or what kind of a person he is, I still want to give him a chance.” (“Teaching the Fa at the 2004 Chicago Conference”)
From studying this we felt it was our responsibility to wake up other practitioners and we hope more practitioners can get involved in this.
Above are my personal understandings. Please point out anything inappropriate.
