There are too many old concepts that need to be destroyed in the process of cultivation. I have been persecuted by the malicious forces many times since they started disrupting the Fa [law, principles]. During the Fa rectification process, I was able to cultivate my inner self diligently, stay compassionate and have a firm, righteous mind at all times. I have always been thinking that with respect to those evil forces or those living beings controlled by the evil forces, Dafa will judge every life, and those wicked people will pay for what they have done. Other than this, I have never had any thought of eliminating evil on my own initiative.
Recently, when I read Master's new Jingwen and the message from Clearwisdom net about sending forth righteous thoughts, I was suddenly enlightened. I had thought it was compassionate not to have any bad thoughts about those most malevolent people. But deep in my heart, I was actually afraid of gaining karma by not handling this well, making a mistake or having any wrong thoughts. All levels of the universe have deviated from the Fa; if we use the absolute standard of Dafa to judge what we thought was compassionate, we will find that it was not good enough. For example, Master mentioned that 'Only Zhen-Shan-Ren is the sole criterion to discern good and bad people.” Then, aren't those who went against the Fa or who helped to disrupt Dafa really bad people? But in the process of Fa rectification, we usually use compassionate thoughts, which fail to match the standard of the new universe, to conduct our behavior and to treat other people. This could lead us to go along with the evil unconsciously or to follow the steps of sentiment or altered concepts and to do things not matching the standard of Dafa. Some people might even head towards evil enlightenment.
When I first saw 'The Fa rectifies Heaven and Earth, immediate retribution in this lifetime,' I knew that it must be right, since the Master said so, and thus I would just have to do it. But I was still thinking secretly: Are other people going to think that we are bad because we are cursing other people, or that we are not being compassionate?
With just this one thought, I had already positioned myself as a human being, and also lowered my level, moving towards evil. Master mentioned, even in the most wonderful period of the future world, there will always be diseases, epidemics and wars. These are the ways gods have given to people to decrease their karma. Master also mentioned that people in the past had more De [virtue] since they believed in gods and, therefore, immediate retribution was more common. Nowadays people do not believe in gods anymore, and, therefore, immediate retribution is less common. People who are doing vicious things have to pay for their crimes; that is the law of the universe. In arranging for immediate retribution, the Gods are actually being merciful to humans, since they are preventing the karma from accumulating until it reaches the horrible state of extinction of body and soul.
On the other side, Master pointed out clearly in the article titled “Remaking Mankind” (Essentials for Further Advancement), 'The laws and principles of the universe will appear again in the human world.' Master also mentioned that the mankind will never forget the sheer magnificence that appears in front of them when Dafa disciples achieve their consummation. I think, when that day comes, many living beings will not have any more chances. But before that day, since the truth hasn't been revealed, all the people with a predestined relationship could still get to know the Fa and cultivate. If we can send out righteous thoughts and let those malicious beings who have persecuted Dafa disciples obtain immediate retribution, then these beings can pay for their karma. At the same time, the truth will be revealed to the world, awakening people and stunning the evil forces, so they will decrease their evil behavior. This is the real mercy and salvation for human beings. Conversely, if gods aren't responsible to human beings, then that is really a tragedy and the end of the world.
I believe that the genuine Dafa practitioners have only immense mercy when they say, 'The Fa rectifies the Cosmos, the Evil is completely eliminated. The Fa rectifies Heaven and Earth, immediate retribution in this lifetime.'
