[PureInsight.org] In “Fa-Lecture During the 2003 Lantern Festival at the U.S. West Fa Conference,” Master said, “I talked about this to tell you that the reason many things in Fa-rectification haven't turned out as well as we'd like is that both the low levels and high levels of the old forces have been doing that together, and they've been using their massive density to obstruct things.” My understanding is that due to the blockage of high-level beings in the cosmos and practitioners’ omissions, many situations have occurred during Fa-rectification. Some practitioners are unable to keep up with the Fa-rectification and some have fallen behind amid the old forces’ tests. The number of sentient beings that have been saved so far is far below that expected by Master.
The negative effects caused by the old forces to Fa-rectification not only include the tribulations imposed on Dafa practitioners, but also include the almost total destruction of the 5000-year-old divine culture of pre-CCP China. In “What is a Dafa Disciple,” Master said, “From ancient times up to today, from the beginning of the cosmos up until some sixty years ago during the time of the final group of humankind, everything has been perpetually serving to establish the foundation that Fa rectification would require, with people accumulating experiences, and with the thought processes and behavior of beings who would partake in this final phase of history being created. This is what mankind’s history was about.” The 5000-year divine culture has laid the foundation for people to obtain the Fa during the final, critical moment. However, the old forces have destroyed this foundation over the past 60 years, thus interfering greatly with the salvation of sentient beings.
In “What is a Dafa Disciple,” Master said, “In Western society, it was basically enough for them to just get some evil and sinister things up and running. But in China that wasn’t enough. They took it further, turning right into wrong and wrong into good, with the idea being that in such trying circumstances, one would have to make the choice that decides salvation.” The degeneration of human morality is very, very severe these days; all sorts of desires are threatening people including fame, interest, and lust, etc. Even Dafa practitioners can be affected by them if we are not strict with ourselves. During truth-clarification, I have found that people who maintain a certain level of morality find it easier to accept the truth, while those who have descended morally are very hard to save. The damage to traditional values caused by the old forces has thus interfered with Master’s Fa-rectification.
For a long time after Shen Yun performances’ began in 2006, I had a misunderstanding, thinking the performance was a tool for helping people to come and know the truth of Dafa. Through recent Fa-study, however, I have some new understandings. The pure and beautiful dance, the stories of traditional culture, and the numerous songs, not only bring people joy, but also rebuild the foundation in their souls that has been previously lost. The 5000-year divine culture and the truth of Dafa were compressed into the programs that last about two hours. They help people to wake up and understand the truth.
Shen Yun is a great opportunity that Master has provided for us to save people. We do not have to lay a new foundation for people, but just need to wake them up so that they will know the truth. Because Shen Yun saves people directly, our efforts to promote Shen Yun are very important. It is not an issue of how much revenue we can generate, but an issue of whether we can oppose the old forces and whether we can achieve what Master wants.
Promoting Shen Yun is probably the only chance for us to make up for the losses that we have incurred in the past, so that we can help restore the traditional culture and save sentient beings. Shen Yun is a Fa-element given to us by Master. We should all promote Shen Yun and regard it as the highest priority.
