My understanding of Fa-rectification cultivation has been constantly improving. Some articles written by fellow practitioners have recently provided a great deal of inspiration to me. I realize that Fa-rectification cultivation of Dafa disciples is totally different from conventional cultivation in the past. Back then, out of gods’ and buddhas’ benevolent compassion, beings who had fallen to the human world were given an opportunity to return to their original, true selves and transcend the ordinary human level. The way was to cultivate their hearts and their bodies. After transcending the human world, they regained all they had lost and that was “consummation”. To a being that had fallen to the human word, cultivation was the process of returning to his or her original, true self.
According to conventions of cultivation practice, Dafa disciples in the human world also need to return to their original, true self. Furthermore, our Dafa disciples bear the responsibility of assisting our Teacher in Fa-rectification. We shouldn’t be passive but must take the initiative to assist our Teacher in Fa-rectification. Cultivation of Dafa disciples is totally different from conventional cultivation practice. If Fa-rectification disciples just cultivate and practice, and don’t participate in Fa-rectification, they can’t reach consummation because the new universe has no positions for them. For ordinary beings, Dafa can and will arrange positions for them. But it is different for Fa-rectification disciples. Dafa disciples have historical missions to fulfill and along the way what they obtain is the Fa of the cosmos.
Fa-Rectification is not re-creation. During our clarifying the truth, only people whose hearts change can be saved. Therefore, the behaviors of beings at different levels are extremely crucial during the Fa-rectification period because their actions decide whether they live or die, and set themselves apart at different levels. It is Master Li’s great benevolence when he lets us participate in Fa-rectification and doesn’t re-create [everything] with a whole new slate. During Fa-rectification, the capacity of disciples must be enlarged further in order to finish the mission of assisting the Teacher in Fa-rectification. I realize our Teacher gives “cultivation practice” a new, higher meaning. To distinguish Fa-rectification cultivation from conventional and future cultivation, Master Li referred to conventional and future cultivation as “individual cultivation.” In other words, if Dafa disciples don’t experience assisting Teacher in Fa-rectification, he or she can’t reach “Fa-rectification consummation”. Moreover, the new universe will have no position for him or her; let alone the fact that he or she will not achieve the fruit status of the individual consummation.
