[PureInsight.org] Several elderly practitioners encountered sickness karma tribulations recently. Some of them made it through, while some slacked off or stopped their practice. There are even practitioners who succumbed to the old forces’ arrangements and passed away. Here I would like to share my experience with fellow practitioners.
I began to practice in 1996. At that time, I had anemia and my hemoglobin was very low. I had to take medicine all the time. Not long after I began to practice, I started to benefit. The practitioner who introduced Falun Dafa to me said, “If a Falun Dafa practitioner feels bad, we do not think of it as illness, but instead consider it to be karma elimination. Since we all have committed wrongdoings in previous lifetimes throughout the cycle of reincarnation, we have to pay them off as we begin to practice. This is a test for you.” I told her, “Don’t worry, I can make it since I’m a genuine practitioner. I’ll follow Master’s arrangements by studying the Fa more, watching the video lectures more, and listening to the audio lectures more. I feel fortunate because I have the opportunity to practice.”
The first illness karma I experienced was pain all over my body, together with a fever and runny nose. I used up one roll of toilet paper within an hour. This tribulation lasted 7 days. When someone saw me on the 8th day, he said, “You look like a different person now.” I asked him if I looked old. He said, “No. You look younger and more energetic now.” I then told him I had started to practice Falun Dafa. He was impressed by it. I was very happy because of this and became more determined in my cultivation. My illness karma tribulations after that seemed easier and easier, very often only lasting two or three days. The second major illness karma tribulation came after July 20, 1999. It was all right during the daytime, but when studying the Fa at 11 p.m., my vision suddenly became blurry and I was unable to see. I also felt uncomfortable as if my whole body was on fire. Because I did not want my family to see my pain, I asked them to go to sleep. It was so painful that I couldn’t even sit still to send forth righteous thoughts. The pain was very severe as if my head was going to explode. The pain continued the whole night. Thinking to myself that I had already begun to cultivate and Master was helping me, I decided to walk the path arranged by Master. I kept reciting the Fa and reciting the Fa. When it was time to go to work, my child asked if I was okay. After arriving at my workplace, some co-workers also asked about me since I seemed to be in pain. I told them it was not something serious. Then I thought I needed to validate the Fa with my words and actions. Recalling the Fa lectures, I asked Master for help in my mind, “Master, I am at work now. Could you slow down the karma elimination a little? I don’t want others to have negative opinions about Dafa. I will pay my debts after I get home.” With that thought, the pain was gone and I didn’t feel any pain at all.
Another time, all my teeth were loose and I had difficulty eating or drinking. My husband said, “It seems like you can’t eat anything. If it continues like this, you’ll starve to death. Let’s go to the hospital. The head of dental division is a good friend of mine.” We went to the hospital. The examination showed gingival inflammation and recession. Seeing that my teeth were too big and sparse, the doctor recommended removing three teeth and installing five. He would select the best teeth available and only charge me the cost. I asked him how much that would be. He did some calculations and told me it would cost more than 3000 yuan. He also asked me not to tell others about it since it was a discounted price. I thought the money could be used to print a lot of truth-clarification material. Since I’m a practitioner and Master was taking care of me, only Master could help me recover. I had also clarified the truth to the doctor already. So I just said thank you to him and decided to go home. My husband was shocked by my decision and said, “If you still can’t eat after arriving home you’ll be sorry.” I said that wouldn’t happen. At that moment, the pain was gone and it never came back after that.
Last February, my lower body felt painful and itchy, with a bad smell. My pubic area had lumps. I thought it could be due to my husband and I was resentful. After thinking about it for a long time, I calmed down. Then I realized that my daughter had recommended a certain brand of sanitary pad. I tried it as well as several other brands, spending a lot of effort on it. It was my own attachments that made the evil take advantage of this. I then let go of this attachment and everything went back to normal within a week.
One day this past May, I went to give practitioners some paper bills carrying truth clarification words. On the way back, I went to visit another practitioner. When the bus was close to the destination, I felt very uncomfortable. Then I felt weak and could hardly get out of the seat. In my mind, I asked Master for help and did not want to follow the path arranged by the old forces. I only wanted to follow the path arranged by Master and was determined to oppose any interference. So after getting off the bus, I sat on the ground to send forth righteous thoughts. Forty minutes later, I went to a restroom and vomited fluid and blood clots. Throughout these tribulations, I always asked Master for help and things went well afterwards.
