Experience Sharing at the 2009 European Fa Conference

I have been a Dafa disciple for five years now, but the memory of obtaining the Fa is still fresh in my mind.
In 2004, I often saw a young Polish man who distributed the Epoch Times newspaper to Chinese people. Later, someone told me to stay away from this young man, because he was “Falun Gong.” I believed the lies that the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) told about Falun Gong, and therefore the next few times I saw him, I kept my distance.
One day, I saw this young man eating dried bread while distributing newspapers, and out of kindness I invited him to have a cup of Chinese tea. I called a friend over, who speaks better Polish than me, to tell him about the so-called “self-immolation” and suggested that he stop practicing. He seemed to be listening closely (later on, I realized that he was sending forth righteous thoughts), and after I spoke, he suggested that I read Zhuan Falun. I surprised myself when I agreed.
After that, he brought the Chinese version of Zhuan Falun to me. I skimmed through the table of contents. I was immediately drawn in. I wanted to read more about every single topic listed. I sat down and began to read. I could not stop reading and was not aware of the time he left or how many customers came into the shop that day. I was immersed in the Fa and the shock that I felt was indescribable. It wasn’t until a guard came by and told me that the shop was closing that I realized that I had read until midnight. I immediately went home and finished the whole book. After reading, I asked myself, “How could I have waited until now to read such a wonderful book?”
The first thing I did the next morning was to make a long-distance phone call to my mother to tell her, “Falun Dafa is good! The ‘self-immolation’ is definitely false!” At the time, I did not know yet that the facts about the CCP’s staging of the “self-immolation” incident was already widely known in the world. However, I realized that Falun Gong is completely different from what China’s TV stations said.
Afterwards, I learned the exercises. My body started to be purified. The tumor that I had for ten years disappeared. Before, I had tried Chinese and Western medicine, as well as drugs and surgeries, to no avail. But ever since I started reading Zhuan Falun, I never felt any more pain, nor did I consume any more medicine.
My mind was purified as well. For the first time, I realized that I had many shortcomings, and that my judgment and morals were declining with the society’s decline. For the first time, I also started restraining myself. I used the Fa to evaluate my life and deeds. I had a sense of awakening from a dream, and my personality became much more cheerful. It seemed like everything had changed. In one month, my body and world views had completely changed for the better.
I thank the staff of the Epoch Times and the Dafa practitioners of Poland for introducing Falun Dafa to me. I thank Master for saving me and allowing me to be born anew.
Obtaining the Fa and Gaining True Knowledge
It says in Zhuan Falun, “When you say that you are going to practice cultivation, they will not let you do it, ‘You want to practice cultivation and leave. When you’ve developed gong, we won’t be able to reach you or touch you.’ They will not let it happen, and they will try everything to stop you from practicing cultivation. Accordingly, all kinds of methods will be used to interfere with you. They will even come to really kill you.”
Before obtaining the Fa, two stockholders of my company were in league with the local notary. Together they used my personal information and an impostor to create a false document, eliminating my stock shares and kicking me out of the company. I was furious and reported all three to the police. As I waited anxiously, I was fortunate to obtain the Fa. I felt that I should abandon my attachments, keep calm, and look inward at myself.
Shortly thereafter, I became aware that an employee of my company provided false evidence that I was the one who sold my stock shares. I sought out a lawyer, but he advised me to settle this matter personally with the notary. After I denied the charges, I received a death threat by phone from one of the stockholders.
Soon after, “worse” things happened. A Polish employee reported my company to the prosecutor for investigation. Suddenly, I went from being a victim to a criminal suspect. Then the two stockholders, who kicked me out of the company, were arrested, along with the Director of Customs Inspection, the Customs Commissioner, some mayors, and the governor. The newspaper reported the arrest of 47 Polish officials. The prosecutor told others that these things were all caused by me, posted the newspaper in his office and, with the excuse of “being responsible to the economy,” forced me to admit to several crimes that I had never heard of. Rumors arose within the Chinese peoples and Polish people, and all accusations pointed to me.
What’s more, my business also began having some issues. A client who owed me hundreds of thousands of dollars never paid the money back. Later, I found out that the client was filing for bankruptcy and was abusing his legal rights for the second time. I sought a debt collection company to settle this problem, but the company was bribed by the client.
Then, I noticed that my residence had been searched, and then received a phone call from a friend who informed me that the Chinese embassy accused me of organizing Falun Gong. The embassy and consulate also called me and said they needed to talk to me. At this time, a Polish practitioner told me that I was labeled a “spy” by some branch of the Polish government. I felt my world crashing down around me.
I asked myself, “Truthfulness, Compassion, Tolerance. Is it good? If this is a Fa that teaches us what is good and what is bad, then why doesn't the CCP let people to learn it?” The ancients have a saying, “Having heard the Dao in the morning, one can die in the evening” (Essentials for Further Advancement, “Melt Into the Fa”). The Ambassador mentioned my name, but I just let it be. I thought that from now on, everyone would know I am a Falun Gong practitioner, so I should be diligent and no matter what I do I must be worthy of this title. Regarding being called a “spy,” I believed that nobody would be able to make this conclusion, that Master knew, and that I had to carry on in cultivation, since I made the most righteous decision in my life after painful choices.
I believe that benevolent Master saw my strong faith. In a dream, he showed me the shining golden Falun and boundless layers of heaven. Every time when I did the exercises on my own, my body felt as big as the heavens immediately after I conjoined my hands, and it felt like countless galaxies were moving around my chest. Master also let me see words in heaven. I saw a big Falun, and Master did Guanding for me and opened my Celestial Eye. These experiences increased my confidence and strengthened my belief in Dafa.
As soon as I let my worries go, things changed for the better. Regarding my stock shares, the court made a final judgment, stating that the client who owed me money should pay me half the amount in cash, and use the other half of the debt to pay off the goods. I didn't blame those who chased after my money at all. I introduced the beauty of Dafa to them, the beauty of Truthfulness, Compassion and Tolerance, and wished them a bright future. After 3 hours of conversation with the Ambassador and the first secretary, they whispered to each other and said, “This person is very rational.” They looked at me and said, ”Freedom of belief, freedom of belief.”
On the November 14, 2006, I drove a car full of porcelain to a city called Lodz, when I crashed into a train. The car was a total loss, but myself and the porcelain were left completely unharmed thanks to our benevolent Master. This is another experience that validates the miraculous power of Dafa.
Under Master's guidance during my cultivation, I finally broke through the old force's arrangements and for the first time I stepped out to promote the Fa. I sat in front of the Chinese Embassy, handed out the Epoch Times (Dajiyuan) to Chinese people, clarified the truth to them in public and offered them the chance to quit the CCP, submitted articles to the Minghui website, and clarified the truth sincerely. Though the Chinese embassy denounced me, it actually helped me to talk about Falun Gong in public, and to establish a good starting point to clarify the truth.
Obtaining the Fa is Meant to Save All Predestine Beings
In 2006, I started clarifying the facts to my friends and relatives. In 2007, I clarified the facts to Chinese companies while I delivered the Dajiyuan newspaper to them. Some people called me “Sister Falun,” some called me “Zhen, Shan, Ren.” Some people shouted, “Falun Dafa is Good!,” as soon as they saw me. Many people knew the truth, and some of them quit the CCP.
Once there was a Politics and Law Committee secretary from Shandong who heard the truth, and he quit the CCP without hesitation. He told me, “be safe.” An acquaintance quit the CCP and clarified the facts about Falun Gong and the persecution to his family afterwards. Very soon, his whole family quit the CCP, including his relatives who were high-ranking officials, i.e. the head of a village, and the head of a county. Another friend quit the CCP and also helped a relative to quit. Later, I found out that this relative was an army general.
One time, I delivered Dajiyuan newspapers to a Chinese restaurant. I entered the restaurant and noticed that the restaurant was full of Chinese tourists who were high ranking officials. I immediately thought that I should hand out copies of the Nine Commentaries to everyone. I told the boss of the restaurant that I wanted to give the customers some newspapers, and the boss said, “Please do, don’t miss anybody.” That day, I handed out all the copies of the Dajiyuan and Nine Commentaries that I had. People who were left out because they went to the restroom ran after me for the materials.
Another time, I saw there was a tour bus along the road, and the driver was about to start the engine. I noticed that the passengers were all Chinese. Since the tour guide was standing by the door, I asked him if I could give every passenger a copy of the newspaper. The tour guide said to me with smile, “Are you Falun Gong? I am really convinced by Falun Gong. I saw you people all over the country. The bus will depart soon, and we have limited time, so you can give me the newspaper, and I'll hand them out for you.” He thus started handing out the papers, saying, “Come on everyone, each of you take a copy, and secure your life by quitting the CCP.” I saw everyone in the coach laughing. I also laughed, having gained a deeper understanding of what “one body” means.
In Poland, many Chinese people are concentrated in trade zones. Every time when I hand out Dajiyuan newspapers there, they all want a copy. This often made me feel that in Poland Chinese people were very righteous and that they weren't poisoned too much, but I was wrong.
The day following the incident in Flushing, New York, I handed out newspapers as usual, when a Chinese person said to me angrily, “Falun Gong even tried to stop the donations for the Sichuan earthquake, and you celebrated the earthquake with drums and gongs, and celebrated the dead. We saw it clearly on a video posted on the Internet.” I told him, “This is impossible. Falun Gong teaches Zhen, Shan, Ren. This is outrageous, there's no doubt this is a fabrication and comes from the CCP. It resembles the lies about the Tiananmen Square self-immolation incident; please think about it carefully.”
The same day, many Chinese people asked similar questions. Of course, the truth was clarified very soon. But since we have handed out Dajiyuan for many years, why were they still not clear about what Falun Gong is? Why were Chinese people immediately being manipulated as soon as the CCP spread some lies? I found that I didn’t do well in many ways. I often clarified the truth from a level that was too high for people to comprehend, or I used examples of prehistoric civilizations. Most importantly, I rarely sent forth righteous thoughts while handing out newspapers. This was a loophole that had been used by old force factors.
Later, an incident happened in Poland where someone stole newspapers and tore them up. This caused disturbance among the Chinese people. The Chinese embassy gave the CCP’s flag to each company, and they also sent a notice wherein Falun Gong's name was crossed out, and there was a warning message not to accept Dajiyuan newspapers in their stores. When I handed out the newspaper again, I saw that the notice was put up in many stores, so I started sending strong righteous thoughts in front of each store.
Very soon, someone said, “Sister, we haven’t received any newspapers here, why were we missed?” I pointed to the notice and answered, “That is why.” The person said, “This is just a facade and not from our heart. My sister, since we have to go back to China, we have no choice [but to post this], but we still want to read the newspaper.”
I seriously told people that this is the CCP committing crimes against Buddha's and Gods, and that they should not be deceived by the CCP. Afterwards, my fellow practitioners and I started a new round of clarifying the facts to the Chinese people. We handed out the Nine Commentaries to one store after another, not missing a single one. Finally, with the exception of two stores, everyone took down the notice.
During the process of clarifying the truth and helping people quit the CCP, I looked inward and found that I still have many attachments that are obstructing me from doing the three things well. I should save sentient beings without wasting time. If I can’t improve myself, the process of Fa-rectification will be prolonged. As soon as old forces catch the loophole, we have to go a longer way. Master told us many times, “Study Fa more, study Fa more.” Only when we study Fa more can we improve rapidly and save sentient beings. I understand that cultivating myself in the process of clarifying the truth and saving sentient beings is the cultivation path Master arranged for us.
I must follow Master’s arrangements, deny the old forces completely, cherish the time we have, have righteous actions with righteous thoughts, cultivate diligently, do the three things well, and save more sentient beings who descended from heaven like us. Only by doing so can we fulfill the requirements of being a Dafa disciple and not disappoint Master’s mercy.
