[PureInsight.org] About 2000
years ago, Jesus, the son of the God, came down to the world to spread
his teaching. Because the number of his believers was getting larger
and larger, it eventually enraged the Jewish forces of the time and
thus Jesus was hated by many Jews. Some upper level officials of
Judaism wanted to capture and kill Jesus. But instead of hiding from
them, Jesus instead went back to Jerusalem, the holy city of Jerusalem.
At that time, Jesus had already foreseen himself being crucified by the
bad people and the retribution the Jewish people would suffer because
of it thereafter.
In Jerusalem, Jesus and his disciples toured the Holy Temple. When they
walked out of the Temple, Jesus' disciples were still amazed by its
magnificence.
The construction of this Holy Temple was started during the period of
King Solomon. However, it was destroyed by the Babylonians in 586 BCE.
After the construction of a new temple, it was known as the Second
Temple. During Jesus' period, the Temple seen by his disciples had
marble pillars that were as tall as 40 feet. The Temple was also built
of beautiful marble. The eaves were of a golden color and most of the
outside was covered by gold leaf. It looked indescribably gorgeous.
The disciples saw the beautiful marble and the magnificent construction and were very excited. One discple said to Jesus,
"Master, see what manner of stones and what buildings are here!" (Mark 13:1)
But Jesus said,
"Seest thou these great buildings? There shall not be left one stone upon another that shall not be thrown down." (Mark 13:2)
When the disciples were amazed by the magnificance of the Temple, Jesus
spoke an astonishing prophecy: in the future, the Temple in Jeruselum
would be completely destroyed, there would not be a single stone on top
of another stone.
Then, Jesus prophesied the time that the temple would be destroyed,
"And when ye shall see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know that
the desolation thereof is nigh. Then let them which are in Judaea flee
to the mountains; and let them which are in the midst of it depart out;
and let not them that are in the countries enter thereinto. For these
be the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be
fulfilled. But woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give
suck, in those days! For there shall be great distress in the land, and
wrath upon this people. And they shall fall by the edge of the sword,
and shall be led away captive into all nations..." (Luke 21:20 – 21:24)
Not long after, Jesus was captured on the Mount of Olives. He was
brought and illegally tried in front of the Sanhedrin (the highest
judicial committee in Judaism) and all the chief priests. He was then
brought to Pontius Pilate, who was governor of the Roman province
of Judaea from A.D. 26 to 36. The Jews asked him to try and sentence
Jesus. Pilate was against executing Jesus and he did not want to bring
Him to trial Jesus. Thus Pilate sent Jesus to Herod, who then sent
Jesus back to Pilate. Pilate announced that Jesus was innocent and
wanted to release him. But under high pressure from the Jewish crowd,
Pilate eventually sentenced Jesus to death.
After Jesus died, his prophecy indeed came true. In 70 AD, the Jewish
people were fighting against Roman Empire and the Roman troops
surrounded Jerusalem. Many Jews came back to help. There was not much
food in Jerusalem and, also, plague was spreading in the city. As a
result, countless numbers of people died. It was said that, during one
night, forty corpses were thrown out of the city. Although the Jews
tried their best to protect the city, it fell eventually. The Romans
rushed into the city and burned the Temple. Then they found out that
much of the gold and silver melted in the fire and leaked into the gaps
between the stones. The Roman general, therefore, ordered the troops to
dig out all the gold and silver from the gaps and so they pulled down
every single stone. Therefore, Jesus' prophecy was exactly fulfilled,
"There shall not be left one stone upon another that shall not be
thrown down." The Temple was completely ruined.
It was said that one million Jews were killed during this war and the
ones that survived were captured and became slaves. They were sent to
various countries. This again fulfilled Jesus' prophecy, "For there
shall be great distress in the land and wrath upon this people. And
they shall fall by the edge of the sword and shall be led away captive
into all nations..."
There is another striking fact. In these one million people who were
killed, there was not a single Christian. How come? It was because all
the Jesus' followers remembered his words, "And when ye shall see
Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know that the desolation thereof
is nigh. Then let them which are in Judaea flee to the mountains; and
let them which are in the midst of it depart out; and let not them that
are in the countries enter thereinto. For these be the days of
vengeance..."
So when the Christians saw the Roman troops coming, they all followed
Jesus' words. The ones who were in the city all left the city and none
of the ones that were not in the city went into the city. Some fled
into the mountains, some to the east of the Jordan River, and others
fled to other areas. Thus, when the people inside Jerusalem were killed
by hunger, plague and fighting, only Jesus' believers were safe.
After reading this historical story, I associated it with the
persecution of Falun Gong today in China, which has lasted to this day.
It really made me think a lot.
Falun Gong practitioners are merely a group of cultivators who follow
the principle of "Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance." They
speak the truth, are kind to others, and are tolerant to others when
they encounter conflicts. They have had a very positive impact on
society. However, as there were more and more Falun Gong practitioners,
Jiang Zemin and the evil Communist Party of China began to feel jealous
and suspicious and thus started an evil suppression and persecution of
Falun Gong, which has been a calamity to the country and the Chinese
people. Within days, made-up lies penetrated to every place in the
world. A totally immoral and evil Party manipulated the government at
its will and did whatever it wanted to do. In order to stir up common
people's hostile feelings against Falun Gong, it staged the
"Self-Immolation" on Tiananmen Square. It even used unbelievably evil
methods such as harvesting organs from living Falun Gong practitioners.
People in China are fooled by the lies and are terrified and threatened
by the evil Party. Thus they ignored the persecution and some even did
bad deeds with the evil Party. Isn't this committing crimes? What is
the difference between these Chinese people and the Jews in Jerusalem
who were stirred up to be against Jesus? Think about the retribution
the Jews received and the tragedy of Jerusalem being completely
destroyed! Falun Gong practitioners tell people the truth while risking
arrest and being put in jail. The reason is for the people not to sin
because of their ignorance, so that they will not receive retribution
like the Jews, who were incited to go against Jesus. Falun Gong
practitioners tell people to quit the Chinese Communist Party. It is
really because they want to save these people from the terrible
retribution the evil Party and Jiang's gang will suffer. When Falun
Gong practitioners clarify the truth and persuade people to quit the
Party, it is indeed completely for the sake of the worldly people.
If you believe the words of Falun Gong practitioners, if you are able
to walk away from the lies of the evil-doers, if you can believe "Falun
Dafa is good," and quit from the evil CCP and the associated
organizations, then, when, in the near future, the evil party's
retribution comes, you will be safe just like those Christians.
After reading this story, hopefully you will not think any more that
the efforts of Falun Gong practitioners have nothing to do with you.
Hurry and quit the CCP and the associated organizations, like those
Christians getting out of Jerusalem. As a matter of fact, this has been
mentioned in the chapter on Revelations in the Bible,
"Come out of her (the evil Communist Party), my people, that ye be not
partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues."
(Revelations 18:4)
Do not let another opportunity slip away, as there will not be many
left! What are you still hesitating about? Hurry about and quit the
evil Communist Party!
