[PureInsight.org] "To attain
perfection is difficult and it is easy to learn what is bad." People
all know that to be good is difficult and to be degenerate is easy. But
are you aware that being degenerate is more dangerous?
There is a story in Aesop's Fables: A faithful hunting dog always
guarded the flock of sheep year round and never lost a single sheep.
The wolves were very bitter but didn't dare to retaliate, because they
were afraid of the hunter's gun. One day a wolf went to the hunting dog
and said: "My friend. You are so faithful to the hunter and what have
you gained? Has he ever given you any good food to eat? He always
bosses you around! Join us and taste the delicate mutton to see how
wonderful it is."
The hunting dog finally was unable to bear the temptation and followed
the wolf gang to the cave where they lived. The wolf gang finally got
their chance and the gang attacked the dog.
"Losing one's footing can become an eternal regret." There were many such lessons in history. We hope we all hold up ourselves.
