[PureInsight.org] Hatred is man's main source of misfortune. All the good people in the world have kind, forgiving hearts. When their self-interest is severely compromised, they are capable of dissolving any hatred towards the others who have wronged them with their kind, forgiving hearts. Like the sun that melts ice and snow, a forgiving heart can melt hatred into nothing. Only the most vicious people will purposely instigate hatred among people in order to satisfy their secret and selfish agenda.
There shouldn't be any hatred between people. No conflicts in society should be solved with violent means. In the several thousand years of Chinese history prior to the rule of the Chinese Communist Party, China was primarily an agricultural society where peace and harmony prevailed. Between landowners and tenant farmers, there existed a mutually beneficial relationship. There was no irreconcilable conflict between the two social strata.
In order to steal wealth from the landowners and rich farmers, the evil Chinese Communist Party purposely instigated tenant farmers' hatred towards landowners and rich farmers and even goaded tenant farmers into persecuting and killing landowners and rich farmers. As a result, the Chinese people started hating and killing each other, a horrid and unprecedented phenomenon in the history of China.
In order to instigate people with no or little knowledge of Falun Gong to hate Falun Gong and Falun Gong practitioners, the evil Chinese Communist Party has launched a "witch hunt" in which the Chinese Communist Party falsely claimed psychopaths who had committed murders to be Falun Gong practitioners. The Chinese Communist Party even staged an act of Self-Immolation at Tiananmen Square in which the hired actors were said to be Falun Gong practitioners. As a result, many innocent Chinese people have fallen prey to the Chinese Communist Party's slanderous lies and hate propaganda and, thus, help to sustain its persecution against Falun Gong practitioners. They are encouraged to curse Falun Gong practitioners and assist in the Chinese Communist Party's "witch hunt." Their lack of knowledge about the truth of Falun Gong has caused them to commit a lot of karma and crimes.
There is a famous hero named Hercules in Greek mythology. One day while Hercules was walking on the bumpy road on a mountain, he came across an object that resembled a bag. He treated it as an obstacle, so he stomped hard on the object. Little did he expect that the object did not deflate at all. Instead, it grew even larger. Next Hercules grabbed a thick stick and hit the object hard with the stick, but it grew even larger. In fact, it now blocked the path completely. Then a sage came out and told Hercules, "My friend, leave it alone. Forget about it and stay away from it because it is the bag of hatred. If you do not touch the bag of hatred, it will remain small. The moment you touch it, it will become larger. It will eventually block your way and become your enemy forever!"
When one does not complain about others, one is far from feeling dissatisfaction. When one does not hate others, one is far from the feeling of hatred. The noble and moral people know how to tell righteous from evil and to steer away from hatred. Only when he steers away from the feeling of hatred, can a person have a forgiving heart. A truly forgiving person naturally emits the radiance of compassion and peacefulness. His radiance brightens himself, as well as people around him. A person with a big, forgiving heart will naturally have a big, open path in front of him. A person without complaint or hatred will be blessed with true happiness. By the same token, a person full of hatred can never be truly kind. The angry fire of hatred will cause a person to lose his rationality. Hatred is like a poisonous dagger that can severely injure others, as well as its owner.
