[PureInsight.org] It was the weekend and the local practitioners gathered once more to have group exercises followed by group Fa study and experience sharing.
Many practitioners attended the group exercises despite the early morning hour when it began. Some of them had to drive for more than half an hour to get there. Some practitioners are the only ones practicing Falun Dafa in their families and their spouses are not very supportive of them practicing. Yet, they also managed to attend the early morning practice.
When we studied the Fa, we read it in both English and Chinese as there were both Chinese and western practitioners there. But the overall effect was quite good.
After studying the Fa, we shared experiences. As usual, most of the practitioners didn't like to talk about their personal cultivating experiences. But they were more eager to discuss the various Fa-rectification projects.
In the past, I had negative opinions of certain practitioners because I felt they had major attachments. I was never courageous enough to talk to them face to face about it and felt quite helpless over the situation. But during the experience sharing, one practitioner talked about her experience teaching in a Chinese language school. She talked about how she spread the Fa to the students and the stories that she used to clarify the truth to the parents effectively. She really did a great job. Another practitioner talked about his experience clarifying the truth to both his friends overseas and relatives in Mainland China. I was deeply touched by his sincerity. As many practitioners shared their experiences, I felt I had done so poorly in those areas where they had done well and that I had lost many opportunities to clarify the truth. I felt I was a much worse practitioner than those other practitioners and felt ashamed of my previously negative thoughts about them.
Each practitioner's situation is different. As long as we improve ourselves in the Fa, do the Fa-rectification, and clarify the truth, why should we be so bothered by attachments that we perceive other practitioners have?
"Where to find immortals; face to face, yet unable to recognize." (From Hong Yin II, unofficial translation)
Let's get rid of negative thoughts and take positive action in every situation!
