[PureInsight.org] I read the book Zhuan Falun in early 1998, before I started practicing Falun Gong, after a friend gave it to me.
One night, I had an unforgettable dream. It was so real. In the dream I walked on a steep hill. Many people rode their bikes rushing down the hill at a very high speed, looking free and relaxed. Then I was told that if I wanted to find Teacher Li Hongzhi, I must walk up the hill. So I made a great effort to climb up the hill. I was also told that in a temple there was an exhibition of portraits of the master of the school of qigong that I had practiced in the past. When I went over to have a look, those portraits had already turned into devils.
I felt strange about the dream, but I will never forget it. It wasn't until I started to cultivate in Falun Dafa that I gradually understood what the dream implied. Modern social values have been dropping at a highly accelerating rate, and are becoming increasingly degenerate day by day. If we wish to follow Master Li's teaching to return to our original true nature, we need to cultivate ourselves, raise ourselves above the degenerate social trends, and endure hardships during our cultivation practice. We must not comply with decadent modern social values or lose ourselves in human notions.
Not long after that, I decided to cultivate in Falun Gong all the way to the end. Since then, I have suffered a lot of hardships and have made detours many times during my cultivation, yet I have mentally and physically benefited from my cultivation practice. I have had many unforgettable understandings of the Fa principles.
