[PureInsight.org] Recently, members of the Hong Kong Youth Care Association Limited (HKYCAL) organization, which has very strong ties to the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), instigated a fresh round of attacks against Falun Gong practitioners in Hong Kong.
Falun Gong practitioners have been holding exercise sessions in Tsim Sha Tsui Ferry Pier, a famous site in Hong Kong for quite some time. Falun Gong practitioners also regularly hand out brochures about Falun Gong to visitors in that area. As the Chinese Communist regime is currently still cracking down on Falun Gong and brutally persecuting Falun Gong practitioners in mainland China, many Falun Gong practitioners around the whole world spend lots of time trying to tell the public about the persecution in China. Falun Gong practitioners in Hong Kong are especially busy doing what they call truth clarifications to the public. They tirelessly pass out Falun Gong pamphlets near many famous scenic tourist destinations in Hong Kong which attract visitors from mainland China. Tsim Sha Tsui Ferry Pier is just one of such sites in Hong Kong.
Right after the Chinese Lunar New Year, members of HKYCAL started to harass Falun Gong practitioners throughout Hong Kong. Last week, some members of HKYCAL went to Tsim Sha Tsui Ferry Pier and violently attacked Falun Gong practitioners there. These people pulled out large banners and spread them around, trying to hide Falun Gong practitioners. They verbally abused Falun Gong practitioners, and even shouted loudly to the police. These people from HKYCAL behaved just like crazy lunatics. A man from HKYCAL even pushed a Falun Gong female practitioner who was holding a baby. He then tried to accuse Falun Gong practitioners of physically attacking on him; however, after gathering video evidence, the police decided that the man was not telling the truth, and he was taken to the police station for further questioning. Falun Gong practitioners had urged the local Hong Kong police force to strictly follow the law and punish those who violated the law. Another woman from HKYCAL also accused Falun Gong practitioners of attacking her, yet, again, after the police watched the live video, the police told the woman to shut up and stop interfering with the police work. Later on, that woman was taken in a police car and transferred to the police station for further questioning.
Many local residents witnessed the conflicts and strongly condemned the violent acts perpetrated by those CCP elements from HKYCAL. One resident approached one member of HKYCAL and said: “Look, why are you doing this? Why are you so angry? Look at those Falun Gong members; they are so polite and quiet.”
