[PureInsight.org] May 13 this year is the 20th anniversary since Falun Dafa was introduced to the public. I am very grateful for Master’s compassion and salvation. Unfortunately, Jiang’s Regime and CCP have brutally persecuted Falun Dafa in China. They fabricated lies to deceive people and defamed Dafa with hate propaganda. This accelerated the moral deterioration in China. If more people practiced Falun Dafa and followed the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance, society would improve. Below I would like to share my experience.
I inherited bronchitis from my family. From my early 30s, I began to cough and have nasal congestion every autumn through spring. With a dry and itchy throat, I felt very bad and had difficulty drinking water. When sleeping at night, I could not lie flat otherwise I would keep coughing. Cough medicines did not work either. I was dizzy all the time. Because of this, my husband could not sleep well. As a result, his work was also affected. Out of despair I went to temples and prayed, but it did not help.
It wasn’t until the summer of 2007 that a friend recommended Falun Dafa. After reading Zhuan Falun, I came to understand that illness was caused by karma accumulated in the past, which included that which was handed down from previous generations. I also learned why praying in the temple did not cure my illnesses. In Zhuan Falun, Master said, “How many people now worship a Buddha to attain Right Fruit in cultivation? There are too few such people. What are most people’s motivations for worshipping a Buddha? They seek to eliminate tribulations, solve problems, and make a fortune. Are these things from the Buddhist scriptures? They do not include these things whatsoever.” Therefore, the only solution is to cultivate.
Since beginning the practice, I have been happy all the time as if the entire world had become clearer. My coughing stopped and I became more energetic. Nevertheless, my cultivation path was not smooth because after all, we have to follow the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance and overcome tribulations.
When I started to practice, my husband had many misunderstandings of Dafa due to the CCP’s defamation. I told him the facts of Falun Dafa, but he did not listen. Instead, he turned the TV set louder to interfere with my Fa-study and would not allow me to do the exercises. By looking within, I decided to first rectify myself instead of complaining about him. So I took on almost all the household chores and was no longer upset when he had a bad temper. I always tried to cultivate diligently by maintaining a peaceful and compassionate mind. Gradually, my husband changed. He helped me with household chores and shopping and that allowed me to spend more time on Fa-study.
When we got married, I wanted to enjoy a comfortable life. So we did not live together with my parents-in-law. After beginning to practice, however, I realized they were elderly and I needed to look after them as if they are my parents. Since then, we have lived together. My father-in-law has thrombosis. He had difficulty moving around and often defecated in his pants. I always helped him clean up without complaining. In addition, I tried to cook dishes they like. The year before last, due to a bone fracture, my mother-in-law had hip replacement surgery. I stayed with her throughout over many days and took good care of her. The medical staff and other patients even thought I was her daughter. My mother-in-law was very touched.
My husband also changed dramatically after seeing my improvement. He stopped bothering me with my practice and I also told him to follow the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance. We have a small retail business and many customers liked to buy from us after witnessing us as good people. One day, a Russian came to buy clothes. Due to language difficulty, we negotiated the price using a calculator. My husband told him the price was 180 yuan. He misunderstood and offered 750 yuan. My husband thus typed 180 again on the calculator. The customer was very surprised. Later he left happily with the clothes. Last year, we were elected as a Model Vendor by the shopping center.
One day, my husband said to me that our life was so different from in the past. Now, we no longer have arguments and the business runs very well. I told him it was because of practicing Falun Dafa and his support of my practice.
Here, I would like to tell everyone that Falun Dafa is righteous and I sincerely hope more people would begin to practice.
