[PureInsight.org] Not long ago, while I was speaking with a few fellow practitioners, they asked me what I did during the Olympic Games. I said that Master is in control of everything in this universe, and as practitioners we must fulfill our mission and shoulder our responsibilities, which are huge. Therefore, we should focus on what Dafa disciples should do, without being affected by whatever the wicked Party does. Before and during the Olympics, I put my mind into the three tasks. I never stopped making Shen Yun performance and other truth-clarification disks. I consistently spread the truth in an effort to save lives. Because the wicked Party has ruthlessly abused and murdered a large number of innocent citizens during its reign of the past several decades, many people these days feel disgusted with the “bloody Olympics” organized by the wicked Party. We Dafa practitioners shoulder the significant responsibility of saving lives, so we should examine what is happening in light of the Fa.
Enticed by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), national political leaders, news reporters and other related persons from many countries attended the opening ceremony or sporting events. They came to China under the pretense of attending the Beijing Olympics.
But what are the truly significant events happening today? Dafa practitioners should understand the reasons and rationale, as Master Li has said, “Now is the final moment that concludes arrangements that are eons old” (“Fa Teaching at the 2008 New York Conference”). As the Fa rectifies the universe, where everyone stands (including the top political figures of each nation) needs to be re-evaluated. But what are the ways to evaluate and select lives? What are the standards by which to judge? One way is to observe his or her behavior and discern his or her thinking in response to events (such as the Flushing incident, the Eutelsat incident, and so on). Such choices between good and evil by each individual make it possible to rigorously and accurately evaluate each person’s xinxing level. This evaluation in turn serves as the basis to shape his or her future. This is similar to evaluating students at school; a student’s true academic achievement is reflected only through strict examinations. When the attack on the “Center for Quitting the Chinese Communist Party” took place in Flushing, New York City, Master Li told us: “Aren't good and evil displaying themselves exactly for the world's people to see? Aren't those who can be saved being identified and set apart? As I said earlier, some beings are unworthy of being saved. You can clarify the facts to every person, but not every person out on the street will be saved, as some of them are no longer worthy. At critical junctures, the outcome is determined by how a person positions himself and how each person handles things. Do the person's actions originate from good or wicked thoughts? Gods are watching what each person thinks and are deciding whether that being is to be kept.” (“Fa Teaching at the 2008 New York Conference”)
From Master Li’s Fa teaching, I realized that in essence, the political figures who visited Beijing during the Olympics are like those intellectuals in China’s history who “came to Beijing to pass the exams and become government officials.” The “exams” are used to test their stance toward the Fa. The question is whether they have condemned and tried to stop the CCP’s nine year long and ongoing persecution of Dafa. What have they done in the anti-persecution movement all over the world? As this is the primary issue, the Olympics is just a way to reflect this. Higher beings are in control of everything; the many events that have taken place are there for everyone to complete the “special exams” as arranged by higher beings. How everyone does on such exams is used to evaluate each person and determine each person’s prospects, or even the nation he or she represents. The implications are significant and far-reaching.
“People's ability to understand things, or lack thereof, and sentient beings' different thoughts and views on this, have become challenges for you as you validate the Fa and save the sentient beings of this world. But regardless of how they have behaved, we still need to save them, for their lack of understanding is on account of their being lost in delusion. They cause some challenges for Dafa disciples because they cannot see things as they really are” (“Fa Teaching at the 2008 New York Conference”). At present, telling the truth to save sentient beings is our top priority. Every day is a result of an extension of this period by Master Li so as to save sentient beings. As a result, we should resolutely disregard the interference of the Olympics and make a diligent effort to fulfill the three major tasks. Saving sentient beings is the key task that we should focus our time on. “Let us study the Fa more, put down attachments such as looking outside of ourselves, and then truly look inside ourselves to cultivate and save people steadily, so that we will not falter in our important mission as ‘Fa-rectification period Dafa disciples’” (Article by Clearwisdom Editors: “Fellow Practitioners, Let Us Give Up Our Human Mindsets”).
Master Li said, “The gods set forth something in the early period of my Fa-rectification, namely, that whatever the wicked Party does, regardless of its aim, will end up assisting me and Dafa disciples” (“Fa Teaching at the 2008 New York Conference”). We have no reason to let ourselves be affected by any attachment or interference.
