[PureInsight.org] Every one of
us now knows the importance of Fa study. Everyday, we manage to find
time to study the Fa. But why is it that sometimes we cannot achieve
the effect of studying the Fa? I recall a fellow practitioner once told
me, "I do not like to read the section in Zhuan Falun
about the "Placement of the Mysterious Pass." Another practitioner
said, "I only like to read the section in The Forth Talk about "Loss
and Gain." As for myself, whenever I read the section about "Martial
Arts Qigong," I usually did not read very attentively.
Aren't these all due to human mentalities and notions? Liking or
disliking something, these are all human sentimentalities that should
be removed. We all know we should be diligent in Fa study and should
study attentively. We should respect the Fa and study the Fa with a
clear mind and without any distracting thoughts.
That means we should be like a very clean container. When studying the
Fa, we are filling the container. Would a container make any choice
when being filled? Some may say that everyone knows about this, and
they do want to study the Fa with respect and a clear and calm mind.
However, isn't one unconsciously using one's human notions to judge the
Fa if one likes or dislikes reading a certain part of the Fa while
studying? In that case, how can one say he is being respectful to the
Fa? We were created by the Law of the Universe (the Fa), and our
Original Self is assimilated to the Fa. How can we possibly like or
dislike the Fa? Thus, any thoughts of this kind are not from ourselves;
they have been added to us in the human world and should be removed
through cultivation. So, when we see this kind of phenomena in
ourselves, we should immediately send forth righteous thoughts to
eliminate them. Those are not our true thoughts and seriously interfere
with our Fa study and cultivation, and thus must be eliminated by
sending forth righteous thoughts.
I knew one fellow practitioner, in particular. With her big human
notions, she thought she was great and always correct. She always used
her own notions to judge the Fa and even question Master. She is now
seriously persecuted by demons and no longer behaves like a
practitioner. In this final stage, the evil tries harder to find our
loopholes and to pull us down. We should be on our guard!
So, we should study the Fa attentively and follow Respected Teacher's
guidance: "You should study with a concentrated mind" (from "To the Australia Fa Conference"). We should study the Fa without any distracting thoughts. I realized that every time one reads Zhuan Falun
from cover to cover, it is equivalent to attending a 9-day seminar.
Master told us: "...as long as you read Dafa, you are changing; as long
as you read Dafa, you are elevating" (Essentials for Further Advancement, "Melt Into the Fa").
