[PureInsight.org] Today is her
last day in the lab. In other words, we may not have an opportunity to
see each other again. When I learned last Friday that her lab was going
to close, I was astonished: Does that mean our predestined relationship
is going to end?
We do not work in the same lab, but in the same working area and we see
each other every day. She is over fifty and from Russia. She seems to
be quiet and joyful. A few days ago when I learned that her
husband was very sick at home, I did not quite believe it because she
wears a different outfit every day and seems to be happy. She said
peacefully, "He has been sick for more than ten years and now he is
getting worse. It is just life and nothing in particular." I told
her about Clearwisdom and PureInsight and my telephone and E-mail
address.
I thought I should give her a parting gift. I took out an English
version of "China Falun Gong." I hesitated for a while, "Should I give
this to her? What if she doesn't value it? If I don't give it to her, I
may not see her again." After a while, I decided to give it to her and
with the wish that she would practice it.
When I gave her the book, she said anxiously, "Let me see what your
Master looks like. My husband and I have been reading stories about
cultivation in Russian from the website for the last two days." We
opened the book and she looked at Master's portrait respectfully.
When she read my note, she was moved and her eyes turned red.
The note said: Dear xxx: I am sorry to learn that you are about to
leave because you are very kind. However, it is hard for us to know
what God's will is. Perhaps, this is the beginning of your new life.
Sometimes, it is difficult to find out the true nature of any event.
This is a book for a beginner of Falun Gong. I hope that both you
and your husband will enjoy it. Please cherish this book and I
hope it will bring you health and happiness.
Good luck!
She asked me how my mother's cultivation was and how Dafa was spreading
in China. I explained everything to her. At the end, she carefully put
the book away.
I was so relieved and went back to do my work.
Life is so short. Perhaps, this brief conversation is also from a promise made long ago.
