Eliminate Fear

Fear brings a lot of damage to Dafa disciples. Out of fear, some practitioners cannot step out of their humanness. Out of fear, they compromise with the evil. Out of fear, some have committed wrongdoings that a Dafa disciple should never have done. Because of fear, a cultivator can be destroyed overnight.

During the present course of Fa-rectification, fear nurtures evilness, provides a dimension for the evil to survive, and blocks out the light of cultivators’ righteous thoughts. We must face fear directly and uproot and eradicate it completely.

Fear is a low life form within the three realms. It is made of extremely rough and coarse granular substances. The more fear one has inside, the deeper the effect of that matter is on him/her, and the tighter its grip becomes. Those evil beings take advantage of it to control and persecute you. “If you are not afraid, the factor that would make you afraid will become non-existent” (”Eliminate Your Last Attachment(s)”). Dafa disciples are all beings from very high levels, and are composed of microscopic, high-energy matter. How could those rough substances restrain us? The key is that we ourselves are held back by the notion of fear, and therefore provided a dimension for its existence. We should use righteous thoughts to eradicate the attachment to fear and the dimension it lives in. Return the degenerate fear to its correct state. Only people who do bad deeds should be fearful, because what awaits them is hell, or even the fate of being completely destroyed. At the same time, we should transfer fear to those malicious people who persecute Dafa.

There are two elements behind the attachment to fear. One is the absence of firm belief in the Fa, thus sowing doubts in oneself. I saw that those Dafa disciples who stood firm on the Fa had no attachment to fear at all. If one cannot be fundamentally unwavering toward the Fa, then nothing else needs to be talked about. We really should look into ourselves thoroughly. Why don’t we have a solid belief in the Fa? Why do we cultivate? Who do we cultivate for? Who does our life exist for? And why are we skeptical? Master Li has already explained to us that as soon as one starts genuine cultivation, many supernormal abilities will emerge. A cultivator has already entered a high level, therefore supernormal abilities are plenty. (Paraphrased from Zhuan Falun)

Another element is selfishness. It is only when one is selfless that can one be fearless. Even our lives are created by Dafa and given by Master. If we detach ourselves from the Fa, or if we are unable to sacrifice for the Fa, could our individual life even exist? What will await us in the future?

The attachment to fear usually emerges when we are faced with evil policemen and other malicious people. The attachment to fear will appear when we are suffering from persecution. Actually, these people are nothing. They seem vicious and wicked on the surface when in fact they are nothing but tools, puppets, or corpses. What is really taking over are the evil beings and evil forces that manipulate them from behind. Human beings are very weak. Look at the fox, weasel and other low level beings that attach themselves to some human bodies. They can control those people easily without their knowing it at all. Those animals have cultivated for nearly a thousand years, but when met with a true cultivator, a tiny finger will be more than enough to crush them. Master Li has said that the side-path practices and methods in the past could exorcise evil spirits just by drawing a symbol or chanting incantations. And people who have cultivated for several thousand years dare not come to see us, because we are too righteous. Then why do humans dare to do so? “All the tribulations and tests our students have gone through in this world are exactly the arrangement of these old forces. The tribulations the students have endured aren’t caused by their own karma alone, much less are they obstacles that have been brought to Dafa by human beings – humans don’t have the ability to do that. An everyday person is very weak before a cultivator. Today’s humans have in fact had tribulations arranged for them by this system of old forces at different levels, and humans have been controlled by the old forces at different levels. This is why the evil forces have become so forceful; why they dare to do things to cultivators, and why they dare to be disrespectful to Dafa.” (”Lecture on Fa at the Washington, D.C. International Conference“) Therefore, those vicious policemen and evil people are nothing to be feared. The real evil that we confront now and then is the evil factor that controls everyday people from other dimensions. They are the old forces and evil beings that they take under control. We must be clear and conscious of this point.

We are the disciples of the Lord of Buddhas. We are assisting our Master in Fa-rectification to create the future. Master has given us the ability to eradicate evil. “I have asked disciples to send forth righteous thoughts because these so-called evil beings are in fact nothing. Yet because Dafa disciples’ mercy has been take advantage of by the old forces, the evil beings that are protected by the old forces have been deliberately persecuting, so what Dafa disciples are enduring is no longer their own karma, but something they should not endure under the evil beings’ persecution. Moreover, these evil beings are extremely base and filthy, and are not worthy of playing any role in the Fa-rectification.” (“The Effect of Righteous Thoughts“) “Dafa disciples are magnificent” (“The Disciple’s Magnificence“), so why should we be afraid?

We can only root out evil actively and on our own initiative, and orient our hearts on the basis of Fa. Only then can we get rid of the attachment of fear. “The more fearful they are inside, the more the evil will specifically go after such students.”(“Dafa Disciples’ Righteous Thoughts are Powerful“) Whatever you are afraid of will come right after you. The old forces can see that clearly from other dimensions. Their only purpose is to destroy you.

We are now in a life-and-death battle with the old forces. As Dafa disciples, we deny completely the arrangements that the old forces have made. It is only when we face vicious people with our righteous thoughts at all times and when we refuse to cooperate with the evil under any circumstances that the evil in other dimensions will be burned to ashes, disintegrate and die out.

“It is only reasonable for the evil to be afraid of us, and not for us to be fearful of them.” The future society of mankind will allow human beings to revere only gods.

I suffered deeply from fear. Expose it and the old forces. Eradicate them completely.
