[PureInsight.org] Before I made
phone calls, I used the fax machine to clarify the truth .I required
myself to send a certain number every day. I often heard the other
party said, "please press the extension number," but did not say what
the number was. I randomly pressed a number, then it went over. That is
the power of Dafa!
Our coordinator talked about the importance of calling back after we
sent truth clarifying messages, however, we were short of manpower.
Thus, I started making phone calls, but not very actively. My problem
was my fear. Whenever I picked up the phone, I got very nervous and
would tremble while talking. As a result, I did not do well.
After Master's lecture at the New York Fa Conference in 2007, I
realized that the most important thing is saving sentient beings,
clarifying the truth, and fulfilling our vows. Thus, I forced myself to
download the phone numbers and encouraged myself to make phone calls. I
told myself that this was the responsibility of a Dafa disciple. In the
beginning, I was still afraid, so I said, "I am a Dafa disciple. Should
I be afraid of ordinary people?" I picked up the phone and made my
calls. After a few times, my fear disappeared and all I could
think about was how to answer questions from the other party. The more
calls I made, the smoother the calls went. After finishing one
batch of numbers, I often downloaded another batch and kept on calling.
The important thing to remember when making phone calls is not the
other party quitting the Party, but the other party knowing the truth.
Besides telling the other party that more than 21 million people have
quit the Party, I slowly led him to understand the truth of the
persecution by the Chinese Communist Party in the last eight years. In
addition, I mentioned that Dafa has spread to eighty countries. After
my talk, some said that they wanted to quit and others said that they
needed time to think about it. Then I told them the time and the QQ

Radio Station. Who knows? Maybe in a few days fellow practitioners will
help them to quit the Party. Whoever can help them to quit will be
fine, but it is more essential that they know the truth.
My personal understanding is that when the other party understands the
truth, he has been saved. Thus, his not quitting the party does
not discourage me. Currently, I sent the materials during the day
and I return the calls at night for those who have made a request. I
hope more practitioner will join in to fulfill the responsibility of
being Dafa disciples.
Master said in a recent Fa conference (New York 2007), "Right now, one
important thing that needs to be attended to is the matter of how to
save more sentient beings, and it is something Dafa disciples are to
accomplish during their current process of achieving Consummation. This
is Dafa disciples' mission, a duty that cannot be shirked, something
that they must do and must complete."
In the beginning when others were making phone calls to fight against
the persecution, I was only sending forth righteous thoughts on the
side. I was still very afraid then and could not talk.
Once, in the middle of the night, I heard someone urging me to hurry
up, let go of my attachment, and clarify the truth. Later, the phone
team was established to make calls to the persecution units and
practitioners got together and called every Monday afternoon. Due to my
strong righteous thoughts, I was able to get rid of my attachment to
fear. I picked up the phone and started to call. The more calls I
made, the stronger my righteous thoughts became. I am truly
grateful for Master's compassion and setting me free from my own
attachment. I am also very thankful for a fellow practitioner who has
been by my side and given me a ton of encouragement.
Later I joined the team to fax the truth clarifying materials.
There is a setup to register for those who wanted us to call them back.
Since they had already heard the truth once, the success rate of their
quitting the Party is very high. I normally downloaded some phone
numbers, found a few spare moments at work and made my calls in a
corner where there was no one around. It does not waste
time. Sometimes the calls went over smoothly and I clarified the
truth to them. Then the other parties said that they supported us
wholeheartedly and needed our help to quit. Just that easy! Fellow
practitioners, if you still have problem making the calls, don't be
discouraged.
Master said in Zhuan Falun,
"When it's impossible to do, you can do it." "...When it looks
impossible and is said to be impossible, give it a try and see if it is
possible. If you can actually do it, you will indeed find: "After
passing the shady willow trees, there will be bright flowers and
another village ahead!"
Here, I like to share Master's poem "Hurry Up to Tell Them" with everyone.
As Dafa disciples clarify the truth
Sharp swords shoot forth from their mouths
Tearing open the rotten demons' lies
Lose no time and save them,
hurry up and tell them.
Master said in "Fa Teaching at the 2007 New York Fa Conference", "It is
because the Fa-rectification and salvation of all sentient beings in
the universe are happening today that degenerate human beings have not
been weeded out. It is due to the state of mankind having undergone
certain changes as well as Dafa disciples needing to establish their
own mighty virtue through this event that humanity has been allowed to
survive and continue on. As Dafa disciples, if right now you cannot
accomplish that and lead beings to salvation, then you will have failed
to fulfill the vows you once made, and will have brought calamity to
the entire Fa-rectification, the universe, and sentient beings. That's
why I said just now that this is something Dafa disciples must do
well."
Under the guidance of fellow practitioners, I started to call the
persecutions units. I discovered recently that majority of them were
afraid to admit the existence of the persecution and I even met a few
guards in the detention centers who quit after listening to the truth.
Later, I joined the team making calls only to those who requested us to
call them back. Clarifying the truth is much easier this way. Even
though the other parties are people with various notions, they have
already heard the truth once. As long as we can maintain our righteous
thoughts and compassion, they became very receptive and quit the Party
quickly.
While I made the phone calls, I also sent forth righteous thoughts to
eliminate all evil interference and ensured the high success rate.
Sometimes people would curse me or hang up. When that happened, I
would look within. I might find that it was due to my lack of righteous
thoughts, being short on Fa studying, or too many attachments. After I
understood the cause, I studied the Fa calmly and strengthened my
righteous thoughts to ensure that my truth clarifying would be more
effective and there would be less interference.
I encouraged other practitioners to make calls as a group to those who
requested us to call back. When I demonstrated how it was being done, I
felt a very strong energy field. I did not have any fear and I
believed that was my best truth clarifying ever. Perhaps, that was
Master who was trying to encourage me. One retiree was very curious and
asked me many questions, so I explained to him about the brutality of
the CCP, the organ harvesting, the Tiananmen immolation incident, and the Nine Commentaries on the Chinese Communist Party. After 20 minutes of truth clarifying, he quit the league and the group.
After he understood the truth, he said that he was not against Falun
Gong but he was afraid to practice it. I asked him to help to clarify
the truth, solidify the power of justice, and help to turn China into a
democratic country. Then, there will not be any persecution and
he can freely practice. He agreed and said that he would help me to
clarify the truth. With more truth clarifying by phone, I discovered
that my righteous thoughts became stronger and stronger. I remind
myself often that I am a cultivator and, no matter how busy I am, need
to make doing the three things my top priority. As a result, my
home environment also became better. I also noticed that many
fellow practitioners were afraid to clarify the truth or did not know
how at first, but could help people to quit the Party fast because they
persisted in doing it. I hope that every practitioner can make
phone calls because that is what Dafa disciples can do and should do.
