[PureInsight.org] I had many thoughts after reading the article "Remembering the days the Master taught the Fa in Chongqing." The article said that in 1993 and 1994, Master came to Chongqing twice to teach the Fa. Both times he stayed in very inexpensive hotels. The hotel staff was puzzled and asked, "Master Li, you're quite a famous Qigong celebrity and should stay in luxury hotels. Why do you stay in a place so plain? Master just smiled and did not say anything. Another time, Master ate at a small restaurant. He ate every last grain, even having to shell a grain. Many students were touched and shocked, that Master would not want to waste even one grain. Since then, none of them would waste any food.
This made me think of my own cultivation in Fa-rectification, in daily life and work. Have I treasured everything and used it to its full potential? Have we cherished every opportunity in Fa-rectification cultivation that Teacher and Dafa provided us? Have we used every opportunity to clarify the facts and offer salvation to living beings? Have we used every opportunity to send righteous thoughts and clear away the evil well? Have we used every second, every penny, every pen, every piece of paper, every drop of ink, every grain of food and every drop of water well? We should use things to their full potential.
Overspending and being wasteful is an attachment. Not using things wisely is intentionally damaging living things. It is also creating karma and committing a sin!
Fellow practitioners: please, cherish everything! We should have lofty goals while paying attention to details. We should walk well every last step in our own Fa-rectification cultivation and leave for the future an impeccable, bright and glorious path to godhood.
