[PureInsight.org] It is a well-known fact the Book of Revelation predicted two beasts in Chapter 13. There have been many interpretations on the Internet that point out the "beast rising up out of the sea " most likely refers to Jiang Zemin, the former head of state in China that launched the persecution against people who cultivate in Falun Gong (or Falun Buddha Fa) in China. "And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy. And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion; and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority. […] and all the world wondered after the beast. And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: […] And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months. And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven." (Revelation 13:1)
There are relatively fewer interpretations of the other beast described in Chapter 13. "And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon. And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed. And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men, And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live." (Revelation 13:11)
In my humble opinion, I believe that "the beast coming up out of the earth" is most likely to be Zeng Qinghong, currently holding the post of Deputy National Chairman of China. The reason is two-fold: First, the two strokes on top of his last name Zeng (曾 Chinese character) resemble "two horns like a lamb." Second, Zeng Qinghong and Jiang Zemin were both from Shanghai. Zeng followed Jiang Zemin into Zhongnanhai (the Chinese central leadership compound) after the 1989 Tiananmen Square Massacre to suppress the June 4 Student Movement. He is a trusted associate of Jiang Zemin, and now holds the second highest position in China. He is a major player in Jiang Zemin's persecution of Falun Gong practitioners. Zeng's relationship to Jiang matches perfectly with the prediction: "And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast."
Zeng Qinghong was visiting South Africa from June 27 to June 29. In the afternoon of June 28, 2004, nine Australian Falun Gong practitioners arrived at Johannesburg International Airport in South Africa. A local Falun Gong practitioner went to pick them up at the airport. They then drove two cars to the Presidential Guest House in the capital city, Pretoria. Around 8:30 P.M., gunmen in a white sedan attacked the second car carrying Falun Gong practitioners from rear side, [targeting] the tires and the driver. At least five shots hit the car. The driver of the second car was an Australian citizen, David Liang. He was also the only Falun Gong practitioner who wore a top with a Falun Dafa insignia. David Liang was shot in both feet. David Liang was immediately taken to the nearby Chris Hani-Baragwanath Hospital for emergency treatment. X-rays showed that one foot suffered crushing fractures.
This shooting spree took place when Falun Gong practitioners were trying to file a lawsuit against Zeng Qinghong in South Africa for his genocide and crimes against humanity [carried out] against Falun Gong practitioners. The shooting appears to be a terrorist act to threaten Falun Gong practitioners so they will not seek legal recourse for Zeng Qinghong's persecution of Falun Gong practitioners, or even to eliminate those Falun Gong practitioners who try to seek justice through the legal system.
There is a Chinese saying, "When heaven wishes to eliminate a villain, it will first reveal his insanity to the world." If Zeng Qinghong is truly "the beast coming up out of the earth" in the Book of Revelation, it appears that his insanity is now revealed.
