[PureInsight.org] If all of us practitioners would conduct ourselves according to the principles Master Li has taught us in Zhuan Falun, and if we would abide as much as possible, with the most sincere efforts, by our legacy, the tenets contained in Truth, Compassion and Tolerance, this persecution would have been over long ago. Let us rekindle our enthusiasm for genuine cultivation!
I sincerely urge all of us to consistently and regularly do The Three Things well that Master has urged us to do, because, as He had told us, "Dafa disciples are now sentient beings' only, sole hope for salvation." (From "Righteous Thoughts")
The most important things for us to do then, and I suggest doing them on a daily basis, in this order, are:
1. Study the Fa, not merely look at the words on paper, but read them with comprehension and awareness and grasp their meaning. That is what makes Dafa practitioners so immensely powerful! Master asks us to read Zhuan Falun over and over again. We must give priority to that over Dafa work, because as Master told us in Hong Kong on June 13, 1997, "Any work in Dafa is intended for people to obtain the Fa and for disciples to improve themselves. Anything other than these two points is meaningless." (From "Clearheadedness" in Essentials for Further Advancement )
2. Explain the facts, which does not merely involve reciting to anyone who will listen the atrocities that are happening during this persecution, horrible as they are. It is our duty to explain to listeners why this is happening: because people insist on practicing their belief in something noble and extraordinary. We must tell the reasons why multitudes of people chose genuine spiritual direction in their lives for a better future. We must explain that they chose to do this through the practice of Falun Dafa, which has the effects of purifying their bodies, making their minds calm and at peace, helping them to become extraordinary human beings, that certain people in the Chinese ruling echelons became envious and fearful for their power base, that these politicians realized that too many citizens were embracing a system that makes them better people and that it happened without the government's influence. The misguided, blinded ruling few are afraid of and resent that multitudes of China's people are changing their attitudes. Many Chinese may no longer opt to live by and are no longer satisfied with the lies and deceit that had been pushed down their throats for almost 60 years; that this threatens the leaders' clout, their influence-peddling, their graft and bribery.
We must point out to people that Falun Dafa practitioners merely wish to practice their belief system in peace and have no political ambitions whatsoever; that the practice of Falun Dafa is always free of charge and no money is ever collected for anything.
3. Send righteous thoughts. That is the third important responsibility Master has left us, for us to live by right now. Sending righteous thoughts to eliminate influences from other parts of the cosmos that are emitting interference only works if done with a serene mindset, and without self-interest or pursuit for any specific end-goal.
If we are truly sincere and set aside any personal resentment, any hatred and any grudges against the ruling Party's systems and shenanigans, against the misguided enforcers and perpetrators, if we set aside any petty concerns, and trust in Master's Fa-rectification timetable and His methods with a calm, Dafa-focused mindset, our genuine efforts to assist Him in this tremendously difficult undertaking will not fail and the persecution will soon be over.
