[PureInsight.org] While SARS is creating an uproar in China and the rest of the world, and while Hong Kong, Canada and the World Health Organization (WHO) are blaming China for concealing information and lying about the spread of the disease, did it occur to us to question whether the spreading of SARS was caused solely by the SARS virus or rather, the lies that have contaminated every inch of China's soil?
There is an ancient Chinese saying that: "An ice sheet three feet thick takes more than one cold day to form." This ancient idiom generally means that if something is seriously wrong, it must have a deep root cause. If one examines the history of the Chinese Communist Party in China, it can be clearly shown that the CCP has been built on lies since the very day of its establishment.
The Tiananmen Massacre on June 4th Thirteen Years Ago
If I hadn't personally experienced the kind and righteous cause of the Beijing people prior to the June 4th student movement at Tiananmen Square, if I hadn't been awakened by the lung-splitting heart-wrenching wail at six o'clock in my college dormitory, "Now they are shooting us! ;" if I hadn't personally been there to witness the horrific bullet holes all over the windows and walls of the subway station at Chang An Street and the shops on West Dan Lin Street, and if I hadn't personally experienced the horror when the Chinese military tanks aimed directly at us, I would have believed the broadcasts of the China Central Television station (CCTV. These broadcasts claimed that "violent protesters butchered soldiers of the People's Liberation Army." I would have believed that those college students and the peoples' appeal for democracy was a "rebellious riot," and would have believed that China's "reluctant" suppression of the June 4th student movement was "justified." Even though I was merely a bystander at the June 4th student movement, the bullets and sounds of crying have taught me that CCP is capable of deceiving the whole nation with its fraudulent lies without even blinking. At that time, I felt so powerless. I felt that I couldn't pull myself out of a country run by a government of deceit, so I might as well numb my conscience and become accustomed to the CCP's monstrous lies. After all, who has the power to make a shameless political party such as the CCP tell the truth? What can possibly be done? Finally, I moved to America, thinking that I would now be free of the CCP's disturbing lies.
I had not in the least expected that ten years after I moved to the states, I would still be subject to the CCP's monstrous lies, only this time as the very subject of its deceit, and not just a bystander.
In 1997, I started to practice Falun Gong in America. Falun Gong has taught me why I must always tell the truth, act on the truth, and eventually become a righteous person of complete truthfulness. I have since conducted myself with truthfulness, and thus have been living comfortably and relaxed without any guilt. However, things started to take a negative turn in 1999. It was as though a thunderstorm began to hover over China. Falun Gong, once encouraged and promoted by the CCP, had become the subject of brutal suppression and persecution. In order to completely "annihilate" Falun Gong, and to "justify" the suppression of Falun Gong, the CCP staged the "self-immolation" at Tiananmen Square, said that 1,400 Falun Gong practitioners had died from practicing, and framed Falun Gong for a murder committed by a non-practitioner, Fu Yibin, just to name a few of their lies. The CCP has applied the same type of propaganda used in the June 4 student movement to suppress Falun Gong. The CCP utilized every television station, every newspaper, every radio network, as well as various other media in China, to take advantage of the gullibility of kindhearted Chinese citizens and to propagate these deliberate deceits all over China and all over the world. I was most shocked when I saw this deceitful propaganda. What shocked me the most was when CCTV, the most authoritative TV station in China, would use TV editing technology to take one sentence in Mr. Li Hongzhi's Falun Dafa lecture at Dalian, regarding the issue of healing illnesses, out of context. In the lecture at Dalian, Mr. Li Hongzhi said, "The students of Falun Dafa are absolutely forbidden to cure illnesses." But his words were distorted as, "Falun Dafa practitioners must not go to the hospital for medical treatment." [Note: Mr. Li Hongzhi said "The students of Falun Dafa are absolutely forbidden to 'Kan Bin'." In Chinese "Kan Bin" can mean one of two things: "getting medical treatment" or "treat illnesses." When Mr. Li Hongzhi made that statement, he was speaking in context of treating other people's illness, and therefore what he said only carries the latter meaning --- treating other people's illnesses.] Many Chinese believed the lies on TV without the slightest doubt. However, Mr. Li Hongzhi actually meant that Falun Gong practitioners must not use their supernormal capabilities to heal illnesses, which would contaminate their own bodies and promote their attachments to fame, wealth, and sentimentality.
The Chinese Communist Party, which spreads such monstrous lies, and incites hatred among the masses toward Falun Gong, is a government that poisons and corrupts the soul and spirit of its people. The CCP's suppression of Falun Gong instigated in China, a land of ninety million square kilometers, suggests that China does not tolerate the virtue of truthfulness that Falun Gong practitioners cultivate.
Does the CCP expect Falun Gong practitioners to respond to unlawful persecution by the CCP with silence like the students of the June 4 student movement thirteen years ago? I decided that I must not be silent this time, for I am also a target of the CCP's brutal persecution of Falun Gong. I know the truth about Falun Gong, and I know for a fact that the CCP spreads lies about Falun Gong. This time I shall not run away from the persecution. I shall confront the persecution against Falun Gong with the real truth.
This is why Falun Gong practitioners worldwide, who conduct themselves with Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance, have been undertaking the strenuous and difficult mission of clarifying the truth about Falun Gong to the precious Chinese people for years. Falun Gong practitioners know that the CCP's poisonous deceit will provoke the Chinese people's hatred towards Falun Gong and thus destroy their lives. Falun Gong practitioners try their best to clarify the truth about Falun Gong to the Chinese people and to expose the CCP's lies, willing to pay whatever price is required. However, the Chinese populace has been immersed in the CCP's lies for so long, that they have become nonchalant about the CCP's lies unless these poisonous deceits threaten their own immediate self-interest.
Finally, the habitual liars of the Chinese Communist Party could no longer contain the SARS epidemic with their lies, and has created a disaster of unprecedented proportions which has not only affected the lives of the Chinese people, but also put the lives of the entire world in danger. The Chinese people and the world are now reaping the disastrous fruit of the CCP's lies.
