Master said, "Over the course of prehistory, everything of yours was being created, all along, according to how magnificent the disciples would be in the Fa-rectification period. So, it was arranged that when you reach the standard for ordinary Consummation, you still have, in the human world, all kinds of ordinary human thoughts and karma. The purpose is so that while doing Fa-rectification things you bring in, through your clarifying the truth and for the consummation of your paradises, beings that can be saved. As you consummate your own paradises you are, at the same time, eliminating your last karma, gradually getting rid of your human thoughts, and truly stepping forward from humanness."(From Fa-Rectification Period Dafa Disciples)
As the Fa-rectification advances to the present, from the standpoint of Fa rectification, we should more quickly and thoroughly realize the nature of our final notions and karma, then eliminate them with determination. First of all, I want to share my understanding on the notions and karma that we still have from a historical perspective.
In "Touring North America to Teach the Fa," Master said, "So that's how they arranged everything in the colossal firmament, including everything that has taken place in the history of mankind." Since the old forces has arranged everything in the universe and throughout human history, then the karma created by Dafa practitioners in history, the notions formed when we transmigrated in different levels, the various warped notions formed in our mind, the karma accumulated by ordinary people in history and the barriers caused by notions that resulted in the failure to understand Dafa with a clear mind – aren't all these things results of arrangements by the old forces?
In "Teaching the Fa at the 2002 Fa Conference in Philadelphia, USA," Master said, "…you have to follow the requirements of Dafa and the Fa-rectification. 'I absolutely will not acknowledge any of those things you arranged in the past, old forces. I don't even acknowledge you.' When your righteous thoughts are very strong you can purge it and you can reject their arrangements. And that's because we absolutely cannot acknowledge them." Master told us "… not acknowledge any of those things you arranged in the past, old forces." So how can we acknowledge the karma and notions arranged by the old forces? How could our notions and karma be so warped if there was only Master's arrangement rather than the arrangements by the old forces? Because the old forces arranged those notions and karma, we cannot acknowledge them as a part of us. Instead we should think that all those notions and karma are forced upon by us by the old forces.
When the old forces want to make trouble for us by using our karma and notions, and shake our righteous thoughts, we can acknowledge these things even less so. From the perspective of Fa-rectification, all these problems of our own are caused by the arrangement of the old forces. We cannot think that these problems were accumulated by ourselves in history, and therefore we must endure them. History itself is not righteous, it is even worse to arrange any tests based on history. We cannot acknowledge anything in the universe and any test today caused by historical reasons.
Master notes, "….whether it is a Buddha, a Tao, an immortal, or a demon, they should not move your heart. In conducting oneself this way, Success is bound to be in sight." (From Zhuan Falun, "Demonic Interference from Ones Own Mind")
Above were some points from the perspective of history. Now I want to share my understanding of our notions.
What are the old forces? No matter whether they are gods or demons of the past, if they insist on their arrangements, when the Fa-rectification reaches the final step, they will become nothing. As long as they continue to do things according to their arrangements, we cannot acknowledge them as high-level beings. Because no matter how high their levels are, they are the "high level" in the old universe. They are nothing to the Fa-rectification and new universe. If they cannot change their notions, what they face is elimination. Since the old forces are to be eliminated, how can we acknowledge them? Our goal is a new universe, how can we acknowledge and allow the existence of beings from the old universe? How can we be controlled and arranged by them? In our eyes, they should not exist, because they do not match the standards of the new universe. We should do as Master said, "I don't even acknowledge you." The only possible way for us to acknowledge them is for them to abandon their arrangements and accept Fa-rectification. Otherwise their fate is to be eliminated, because we are the "righteous gods."
Why should I write this paragraph in this article? In our mind there are spaces that the old forces rely on for their survival. Master said, "Even each Dafa disciple's every move, every action, every word, and even the questions you ponder, none of it is that simple. In the future you'll see that everything was very carefully arranged. But it's not me who arranged this; it's the old forces who did." (From: Fa-Lecture at the Conference in Florida) Precisely, because the old forces arranged many deviated things in our mind, the clear and powerful righteous thoughts of our main consciousnesses are very critical in removing those deviations.
We should totally oppose all arrangements by the evil old forces. Then how should we understand the arrangements by the old forces in our minds, every word and action?
From the perspective of Fa-rectification, all these thoughts in our heads that are forced upon us by the old forces are barriers to Fa-rectification. No matter what we do and think, even though "every move, every action, every word" is arranged by the old forces, we cannot think that we are complying with or following the old forces. We need to know that we are displaying great forbearance and great benevolence in our effort to save more old beings. It is our benevolence to beings who still have righteous thoughts, and we are waiting for them to free themselves from the control of old forces and old principles. Yet on the other hand, from the standpoints of Fa-rectification, we cannot think that all of our actions and thoughts are completely those of our own, and things that have been changed and refreshed in the course of our cultivation. We must carefully distinguish, understand and remove things that still exist within us that do not truly conform to Fa-rectification. These are elements of the old principles that exist in our surface for the time being. We cannot acknowledge these thoughts and actions, which had been arranged by the old forces as a part of ourselves. We should oppose all the old forces' arrangements with determination, including those thoughts and actions arranged by the old forces.
This is consistent with the principles in cultivation, because Fa and principles are higher at each level. "Different levels have different Fa" (From Zhuan Falun), when our mind was enlightened, we found our understanding in the past was not true. We should not insist our understanding on a certain level is the final truth. This "insistence" itself is also a big barrier for Fa-rectification.
From the standpoints of Fa-rectification, every time we improve our understanding of the Fa, it is a further step towards the final true Fa-rectification. As for those final notions and karma, we cannot acknowledge them as ours. In our progress we simply need to do three things well, study the Fa, clarify the truth, and send forth righteous thoughts. We should study the Fa more, assimilate into Dafa, and rectify ourselves. Then we can more clearly recognize the evil arrangements by the old forces. We should determinedly correct and remove all non-righteousness in our own field and the related universes. At the same time we should do well in clarifying truth and saving all sentient beings. We must try our best to do everything well with our heart. "Get rid of any attachment you have, and don't think about anything. Just do everything a Dafa disciple should do, and everything will be covered." (From Guiding the Voyage, "Teaching the Fa at the Washington, D.C. International Fa Conference")
