Are You Concerned About These Things?

[PureInsight.org] These days
are the busiest time for the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) officials.
They are busy harvesting Renminbis, dollars, Euros, imported liquor and
cigarettes, and abalone. They are harvesting honors, joys, and desires
in the human world. Businessmen try every means to send these officials
these items and hope to recover even higher pay offs. Naturally, the
middle classes are celebrating joyously another peaceful Mid-Autumn
Festival. But, people, do you remember that there are different classes
of people and their parents or children are under different
circumstances?

The Organization for Chinese Liberal Culture Movement initiated "In the
Name of Humanity, Falun Gong Persecution Awareness Week" to call for
world attention to the suffering of Falun Gong practitioners and stop
the Chinese Communist regime's genocide against the practitioners. In
an open letter, they cited a large number of facts about the
persecution by the CCP. They delivered the letter to the APEC leaders
urging them to take effective measures to press the Chinese Communist
regime to end the genocide of Falun Gong practitioners. The reason why
such a thing happens to make the CCP "lose face" is because the CCP is
still carrying out an inhuman persecution of Falun Gong practitioners
in China. China is still giving no sign of renouncing this persecution
under current leader, Hu Jintao.

Kind people, do you know how the Falun Gong practitioners are being
persecuted? Do you know any Falun Gong practitioners around you? There
are 3093 Falun Gong practitioners who have been tortured to death. They
were common people, government officials, educated people, and
scientists. These 3093 victims lived in 3093 places. How many out there
are still destitute and homeless? Where are they?

There is a full moon tonight. But many families are fragmented! Under
the full moon, how many elders are recalling their children being
persecuted to death in misery? How many children are waiting for their
imprisoned parents to return home? People, have you ever paid any
attention to them? Have you paid any attention to those young children
of Falun Gong practitioners having no home to return to? Just like
during the Great Cultural Revolution, how many people cared about the
children of those who were killed or imprisoned?

I remember Rongrong, an innocent and lovely little girl. Her father,
Zou Songtao, was persecuted to death. Her mother, Zhang Yunhe, is
missing. Her grandma, whom she depended on for survival, passed away
amidst sadness. Is the little girl still a child, who had lost three of
her dearest ones?

Another innocent and lovely little girl was sent to the Haerbin
Children's Welfare Institute when she was only five years old, because
her family members practiced Falun Gong and they all had disappeared.
Years later, her mother was released from a forced labor camp. The
mother rushed to the Institute excitedly, only to find that her bright
daughter didn't recognize her any more. This five year old girl was
tormented to dementia by the regime. Can you imagine how much grief
this young mother felt when she embraced her daughter who could not
recognize her any longer?

Do you still remember Li Qingqing? She became an orphan when she was
nine years old. Her mother used to be a teacher at the Xiangtang Middle
School in Shuangfu Township, Chongqing City. On January 2, 2001, she
was persecuted to death while she was imprisoned in the Dongmen
Brainwashing Center in Jiangjin, Chongqing City.

When Li Qingqing was fourteen years old, unable to face the cruel
environment and unfeeling classmates and teachers, she drank one
hundred milliliters of pesticide. But no one dared to rescue her. It
seemed that if they rescued her, they would be linked to Falun Gong and
would be knocked down. But because the pesticide was a fake product,
she survived. But does anyone know where she is? Does she go to school?
Is she able to afford the tuition?

We can learn from a letter written by Gao Zhisheng, a human rights
attorney, that many young children who practice Falun Gong took the
risk to visit Gao's daughter, Gege. There are many young Falun Gong
students in Beijing who are not allowed to attend school. How about
other places?

You may think that there is nothing you can do to deal with this brutal
regime. But can you say to these children who are deprived of their
education, "Children, hang in there.  Your parents haven't done
anything wrong!" Can you be a little concerned about those children
whose parents are imprisoned so they don't have money to pay tuition?
What do they live on? Can you extend your helping hand to those
helpless children?

Under the cloudless full moon, I cannot bear to admire the scenery so I return to my computer to write this article.
