cultivating for a long time, each of us might know many practitioners.
They might be young or old and are at different levels. Most of time,
sharing cultivation experiences among us will be very helpful to both
our personal cultivation and our truth clarification efforts. But we
are still in the middle of cultivation; we still have many human
notions. Sometimes, these human notions are revealed and sometimes they
are hidden. Sometimes, these human notions will affect other things.
Cultivation is very serious. It is impossible to go to heaven while you
still have many different kinds of attachments and human notions. The
unbearable loneliness is big attachment that needs to be eliminated.
Let me give you several examples to show you how human sentiments affect us:
(1) One practitioner in my area worked on many
important Dafa projects. Many practitioners liked to share experience
with this practitioner whenever they had time. But most of the time
they could solve problems by themselves. The things that they wanted to
talk about were not that important. The situation lasted many years. As
a result, this practitioner did not have enough time to study Fa and
send righteous thoughts. Later on, this practitioner left loopholes for
evil force. We can't not say that what happened has nothing to do with
us.
(2) During a previous period of time, many
practitioners liked to talk to me and shared their experience with me.
I like having normal experience sharing so that we can improve
ourselves together. But many times, I found out that they talked to me
because they felt lonely. We didn't talk about how to cherish our last
opportunity to rectify Dafa and how to do the “three things" well. They
just told me that this practitioner owed them and that practitioner may
be a special agent. (They did not have any evidence. They just said
those things based on their judgments). Sometimes one practitioner
would call me several times. When I returned his calls, he told me he
didn't have anything important to discuss. I came cross a lot of things
like this. I am not going to list here one by one.
After these incidents, I kept looking inward: why did these things
happen to me or why was I allowed to see these things. Do I still have
sentimental attachments towards fellow practitioners? After looking at
myself, I found out that my sentimental attachment to practitioners is
very strong. Otherwise, why do I feel a strong need to speak out for a
practitioner when other practitioners complain about him and even feel
that he has been wronged? Why do I still put down important Dafa work
and go to a practitioner's home to visit him after he calls when I
actually know that he doesn't have any important thing that needs my
help.
A god's mind is pure and clear. He is very compassionate and always
thinks about things from other people's point of view. When gods meet,
they show respect to each other. But sometimes we do not think about
others and value their time. Maybe our practitioner need to study the
Fa, send the righteous thoughts and clarify the truth. We should not
occupy other practitioner's time when we need comfort and
understanding. This is the irresponsible behavior.
Cultivation is to cultivate ourselves. We should not always look at
other people's shortcomings and refuse to let things go. When we see
other people's shortcomings, we should point them out kindly. But we
should not spread things around, and we absolutely shouldn't make up
things about other practitioners out of anger. Such behavior actually
helps evil forces interfere with our Fa-Rectification. If such
behavior is not stopped, we will meet the same fate as the evil old
forces: to be completely destroyed or eliminated.
Cultivation is the process of eliminating our attachments and breaking
up our human notions. How to become a real whole body without becoming
"groups" based on personal sentimentalities and similarities is a
problem facing everyone. This is a problem we have to face and solve
well. In fact, we can handle these things well if we study the Fa well
and always handle things based on Fa. Our Master told us a long time
ago: “Any work in Dafa is intended for people to obtain the Fa and for
disciples to improve themselves. Anything other than these two points
is meaningless." (from Falun Dafa Essentials For Future Advancement, "Clear headedness") Shouldn't everything we do be centered around these two things?
Let us eliminate the personal sentimental attachments among
practitioners and truly do our best to rectify the Fa and save
sentiment beings. Only then will we not waste our trip to this dusty
human world.
