Of Men and Mercy

Though he laid up in his mercy,

A great gift for men

 From whence did it spring,

It's source much higher than them

It was poured down in kindness,

Yet to some trod under

And when they did gaze it,

Some cursed it and spit it

But from them as it was,

The light, it was hidden

But the wise ones they knew,

How precious the stones

Far more so than gold,

Or seat of government's throne

On some it was lost,

Though the sight of his eye,

Did avert mankind's great disaster

As was said in the past,

'Twould not be the Tao

If could not hear the men's laughter
