1. Thoughts on Improving Our Telephone Calls to China to Promote "The Nine Commentaries" and Prompt People to Withdraw from the CCP
Practitioners recently have repeatedly discussed the issue that the number of people withdrawing from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) seems to have plateaued. Everyone is trying to find the underlying reason. In my humble opinion, at least two issues are worth considering. First, we must not be attached to the statistics. We are cultivators. We are Falun Gong practitioners. Our mindset should be on offering salvation to sentient beings. We should be impervious to the attitudes of people we clarify the truth to and the superficial outcomes [of our efforts].

If we stop our attachment to seeing a large increase in the number of people withdrawing from the CCP and stop thinking how only 10,000 to 30,000 people are withdrawing from the CCP daily, the situation might improve.
Secondly, we must search inward. Do we have a deep understanding of "The Nine Commentaries"? Have we seriously read "The Nine Commentaries" at least a few times? Have we thoroughly and completely eradicated the Communist evil specter in our own dimension? Have we thoroughly and completely eradicated all the concepts that the CCP had instilled in our heads? The deeper an understanding we have of "The Nine Commentaries," the better the effect of our truth-clarification will be. By contrast, if we lack a good understanding of "The Nine Commentaries," the effect of our truth-clarification is likely to be less desirable. No matter which truth-clarification projects you are working on, I sincerely advise that you read "The Nine Commentaries" more.
Persevering in Calling China as a Group Once a Week Is a Good Way to Prompt and Encourage Practitioners in Our Area to Clarify the Truth and to Improve Holistically
Practitioners in my area meet once a week to call China together. Each time we start with a one-hour Fa study. Next we send forth righteous thoughts together before we start calling China as a group. We feel the energy field is particular strong when we call China. After we finish the calls, we exchange our cultivation experiences about calling the Chinese people. Each meeting is very rewarding. In one night we do four things together. On our way homes each time we feel especially great.
Westerner Practitioners' Calls to China Are Very Powerful
A few years ago, Western practitioners in my area felt frustrated at not being able to clarify the truth to the Chinese people via the telephone. We have provided the following methods and tools for Western practitioners who are interested in calling China. They have been a very powerful addition to the telephone group.
1. Look for English-Speaking Organizations and Schools in China
Many Chinese people who speak some English are quite interested in talking with Westerners who call from overseas. Some Chinese people idolize Western culture; some are interested in honing their English conversational skills, and some have a high respect for Westerners in general. The effect of Westerner practitioners' calls to China to clarify the truth is exceptionally good.
2. Clarifying the truth to the employees in the foreign embassies and consulates in China
After making a lot of phone calls to the foreign embassies and consulates in China, the Westerner practitioners found that the majority of the people who took the calls were Chinese people who are conversant in Chinese and English. These people are a special stratum of Chinese society, and many of them didn't know the truth about Falun Gong. Western practitioners are very good at clarifying the truth to them.
3. Making VCDs about "The Nine Commentaries" and about quitting the CCP
We have made several different Chinese VCDs about "The Nine Commentaries" and quitting the CCP. Western practitioners in our area have used these CDs to help them clarify the truth to the Chinese people. When a Westerner practitioner makes a phone call to China, he will first ask the person if the person speaks English. If so, the practitioner will clarify the truth to him in English. If not, he will start playing the Chinese CD. The Westerner practitioners then pass the phone numbers of those Chinese people who listened to the Chinese CD for a long time on to me so that I can follow up with those people. Together we have helped some of these people quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations.
4. Teach Western Practitioners to Speak Chinese
Western practitioners in our area have worked hard to overcome the language barrier. They have been trying to learn Chinese and are using their newly learned skill very well when calling China. Some Chinese police laughed in a friendly way when they heard our Western practitioners speaking Chinese. They enjoyed listening so much that they didn't want to hang up the phone. It is a nice encouragement for our Western practitioners.
Next I will tell some stories from our telephone group:
1. Falun Gong Practitioners' Words Shattered the Evildoers Residing in the "610 Office"
Minghui.org/Clearwisdom.net has recently published much information about the persecution against Falun Gong practitioners in Daqin City and Harbin City. Hence, practitioners worldwide have concentrated on calling the government agencies in these two cities that are persecuting Falun Gong practitioners. Once I called one of the "610 Offices" in Daqin City. A woman answered. When I told her that I was investigating a series of criminal cases where Falun Gong practitioners were tortured to death in Daqin City she was terrified and stumbled over her words. I told her many stories illustrating the universal law that those who persecuted Falun Gong practitioners eventually met karmic retribution. I also listed many historical events from China's past where, after persecuting the good people, the politicians were brought to justice. In the end she even asked me to tell her more. I told her that if the persecutors immediately start improving their attitude towards Falun Gong, treat Falun Gong practitioners kindly and protect them they might be able to atone for their terrible sins; otherwise, a terrible fate will await them. She repeatedly agreed with me.
She was terrified to know that their phone numbers were exposed to the world. She once even lied to me, saying I had reached a vegetable vendor. I told her that no matter what you do for a living, you should remember that the gods will eventually reward and punish everyone accordingly. Then a man grabbed the phone, said something nasty and hung up. I immediately found the cellular phone number of a supervisor in that "610 Office" and called the number. The same woman answered the phone. I asked to talk to the supervisor, but she said he was not there. Then I asked to speak to the man who grabbed the phone. I also told her that if he did not improve his attitude towards Falun Gong, it would be very bad for him. The woman immediately turned to the man and said aloud, "What's the matter with you? You must not say those nasty words any longer." Then she told me, "He is just a cashier. He doesn't know how to handle himself." I told her that she must bear in mind that Falun Gong is great and she must treat Falun Gong practitioners well. "If we hear again that you are persecuting Falun Gong practitioners, we will call you every day." She said, "Okay. I understand."
2. Helping Falun Gong Practitioners' Family Members Understand the Truth
Lately we obtained the phone numbers of many Falun Gong practitioners' families in China. Once I called one of the numbers. The woman who picked up the call listened and asked many questions, such as "Are you really calling from the United States?" "Is the Self-Immolation at the Tiananmen Square a hoax?" "Will there be any justice for Falun Gong?" "Has Jiang Zemin really been sued?" and other such questions. I answered all of the questions and told her many more important facts about Falun Gong and the persecution against Falun Gong. After a long time she finally told me, "My older sister is a Falun Gong practitioner and she has been homeless for over two years. She has lost a lot of weight. My poor sister! My family has misunderstood her." I continued to clarify the truth to her. Finally I said, "One day you will be very proud to have such a wonderful sister. Please believe that those people who follow Falun Gong practitioners and try to become better people have not done anything wrong. Please remember that Falun Gong is great. Jiang Zemin will face the music sooner or later." She promised to treat her sister well and said she anticipated the advent of justice for Falun Gong. She also promised to relay what I had told her to all of her family members and friends.
3. Sharing Experiences with Those Practitioners Who Have Taken a Detour
Once Minghui.org/Clearwisdom.net published a list of practitioners in Henan Province who had been brainwashed and embraced an evil way. The coordinator of our local phone group gave us some of the phone numbers to call. One of the people on the list lived in Pingdingshan in Henan Province. I called him and told him the latest situations inside and outside of China. I told him about Teacher's latest articles. I told him that Teacher has been giving constant opportunities to those who had taken a detour on their cultivation paths; that we must cherish this opportunity that only comes once in an eternity, because have waited for eternity for the Fa. He told me, "When I was locked in the forced labor camp I gave in to the tortures and sold the practitioners out. When I was released from the forced labor camp I was overcome with shame and regret. I couldn't face anyone, so I gave up practicing the Falun Gong exercises. All the practitioners in my area refused to speak to me and called me a traitor. One year ago, when I read Teacher's new articles, I was deeply moved and regretted terribly having betrayed my fellow practitioners. I am so thankful that Teacher has given each and every practitioner a chance to return to cultivation practice. Since then I have been studying the Fa, practicing the exercises and distributing truth-clarification materials, but fellow practitioners still do not believe me. I feel very hurt." I told him, "Perhaps you should try to imagine where they were coming from while continuing to do the Three Things well. Teacher does not want to leave anyone behind. You should try to exchange cultivation experiences with local practitioners. I am sure that they will believe you have genuinely repented eventually." He said, "Thank you very much for your encouragement. Please bring the best to Teacher on behalf of all the practitioners in Pingdingshan."
4. The Chinese People Want to File a Lawsuit against Jiang Zemin
Once when our group we called Wuhan City, I reached a middle-aged man with a strong sense of justice. He asked me if there is any major news outside of China, so I told him about the major news regarding Falun Gong. He said that he had heard only some of them. He added, "My family, relatives, friends, colleagues and neighbors know that the Self-Immolation at Tiananmen Square is a hoax. They all know the truth about Falun Gong and they all hate Jiang Zemin to death." Finally he told me secretly, "Something big is going to happen in China. It is even bigger than your actions. We are going to reach people all over China and file a joint lawsuit against Jiang Zemin with the United Nations." Regardless of the reliability of this information, I was glad to hear about such a plan and was very happy for those Chinese people. He asked me to keep him updated about Falun Gong.
5. Do Not Give Up On Any Being That Has Not Accepted the Truth
Once when our group was calling Shijiazhuang, Hebei Province, I reached a female college student. As soon as she heard I am an overseas Chinese she hung up on me. You may have already heard that most people in China have fallen prey to the CCP's hate campaign against the overseas Chinese people. Many people in China become hostile as soon as they know you are an overseas Chinese, because they were taught that the overseas Chinese people are trying to subvert the CCP.
I sent forth righteous thoughts for a while before I called the number again. When she heard my voice she sighed and said in a defeated tone, "Whatever you want to say, say it quickly." I said, "Madam, I am calling from the United States at my own expense. I don't know who you are or where you live. I am only trying to tell you the truth about what has been happening overseas. Then you can make up your own mind. It must due to a predestined relationship that you receive a call from me." Then I told her the truth about Falun Gong and the persecution against Falun Gong. Next, she immediately expressed her interest in reading Zhuan Falun and asked me where she could obtain a copy. I replied, "I can send you a copy, but you must cherish it." Then she told me her address and thanked me repeatedly.
Do Not Underestimate Young Practitioners' Power
Some people hung up the phone as soon as they heard me saying that the Self-Immolation at Tiananmen Square was a hoax. I marked these people's phone numbers and gave some of them to my two children. My son volunteered to call these numbers first. My daughter sent forth righteous thoughts while her brother was on the phone. As soon as they picked up the phone my son would say, "Aunt (or uncle), please allow me to tell you something from the bottom of my heart: Falun Gong is great! Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance are grand!" My son repeatedly said those words. When he became exhausted my daughter would take over and my son would send forth righteous thoughts. They took turns clarifying the truth and sending forth righteous thoughts. Those people who had hung up on me in the past did not hang up on my children. My children must have said the same lines about 70-80 times to each caller, but nobody hung up on them. Finally I told my children that that was enough and they hung up the phone.
I told my children, "A Chinese policeman was moved to tears after a fellow practitioner told him, 'Falun Gong is good,' five times. You have told them so many times. They will think about those words and will think about them many times. As you make more phone calls, you will be able to enrich the content of your phone conversation."
7. The Advantage of Calling China Being Able to Answer People's Questions Right Away
Fellow practitioners often told us after receiving facts about Falun Gong via emails, letters, faxes and recorded phone messages that many everyday people have a lot of questions about Falun Gong, but they cannot find anyone to answer them in person. Those people were very happy when they finally received calls from us because the questions they had for many years were finally answered.
During a group calling action I dialed a telephone number and three men talked to me simultaneously. The three of them were middle-aged intellectuals. During our conversation that lasted one hour and 40 minutes they asked more than 20 questions. At the time my cultivation state was very good; the wisdom Teacher had bestowed upon me flowed out of my mind. Sometimes I knew how to answer a question before they even finished the question. For example, one of them asked, "There is one drawback in Falun Gong. I am not going to tell you what it is. I will let you tell me what it is." [This is a trap commonly used in a debate by a Communist to have the enemy present his weakness.] I replied, "Falun Gong is the Great Law of the Universe. It has created the entire universe and everything in it. No one is entitled to criticize the Great Law that has created him. Every Falun Gong practitioner is a human in cultivation practice. Every cultivator has many flaws and attachments that he must have foregone by the end of his cultivation practice. No one is able to complete his cultivation practice overnight. It has to take some time. If you see any attachment or flaw in a Falun Gong practitioner around you, he will have to overcome his flaw or remove his attachment by persistently following Falun Gong's teaching." Then they said, "We have finally met a great cultivator today! There is a Falun Gong practitioner in our organization. He is now making a fuss because he didn't receive a promotion." I replied, "I am not a great cultivator. If you feel so, it is because I have the enormous fortune to have read Zhuan Falun and learned many important principles. You should read this book if you have a chance." They agreed to read it and asked for the Falun Gong website URL.
One day a man told me, "You have called me at the right time. I am going to file for divorce at the court tomorrow." Then he asked me for my opinion about his marriage. I know that many things in life are the results of karmic relationships from this or a previous life. I also know that everything I say carries energy and I must cultivate my speech or I will lose virtue. I didn't answer his question in a direct way. I told him, "There must be billions of women in the world. Why did you choose to marry your wife? In ancient times, people had to bow to heaven and earth when they got married. In this life you and your wife decided to marry each other. It must a predestined relationship that heaven has planned for you both. Perhaps you both should think more of the other person. As for divorce, I think it is your decision to make." After hearing what I had said, he said, "I have decided to delay the divorce and think about it more."
After I finished the phone call, I felt that some people in China have changed their suspicious attitude toward us and now become friends with us because they have a positive understanding of Falun Gong. I am truly happy for them.
8. Right-Minded People Reveal the Facts about China's Prisons and the Killings Happening There
Once our group called people in Hainandao City. After hearing the summary of "The Nine Commentaries" and about the global trend to quit the CCP, a man told us things about the prisons in China and the killings taking place there. He said, "When a prison is executed, the bullet hole leaves a large hole on his body. In the past, out of consideration for the family of the dead, the police routinely filled the hole with a piece of meat before returning the body to the family. Now the situation is completely different. The family now can only get the cremated remains back, and that is only after they pay the prison official 3,000 Yuan. The prisoner's organs are routinely harvested for sale and the prison police earn huge profits by acting as brokers between the hospital and the patients who need organ transplants. But the families of the prisoners do not know the truth." He added, "Nowadays the prison inmates in China have become slaves. The prisons force them to make commercial products and the Chinese government is getting huge profits from this slave labor. But the prison inmates do not get a penny." He is not a member of the CCP, but he agreed to quit one of the CCP's affiliated organizations. I gave him the pseudonym "Jianqiang," which means "determined" in Chinese.
9. Advising People to Pledge Never to Join Any of the CCP's Organizations
Once we called some college students together. I reached a female college student and asked her whether she could converse in English. [If so, I would have passed the phone to a Western practitioner.] She said she does not speak English well, so we played a 13-minute CD we made. After listening to the CD, she asked us a lot of questions, e.g. "What will happen to us if I don't quit the CCP?" "Does God truly exist?" "Is China going to be in anarchy if the CCP collapses?" "Who is going to lead China?", and other such questions. I answered all of her questions. Finally she told me that she had never joined the CCP or any of its organizations. I told her, "It is good, but it is also important for you to purge the CCP's poison. Why don't you publish a statement, to pledge never to join any of the CCP's organizations?" She said, "Okay, but I don't know what pseudonym to pick." I replied, "What do you think about the name 'Spring Blossom'? Flowers blossom in the springtime. How wonderful it is." She said, "It sounds like a name of a country bumpkin. Give me something more elegant." I said, "What about 'Winter Rose'? In the vast expanse of white snow stands a beautiful rose." She said, "It sounds lovely. I am going to tell the news to the elderly general secretary of the CCP branch in my hometown and urge him to quit the CCP."
10. Do Not Easily Give Up Those Who Hang Up on You
Once I called a resident in Beijing. As soon as he heard I was calling from the Falun Dafa Information Center he hung up on me. I decided that I must not give up because I had to tell him at least some key points. I called him again and he hung up on me again as soon as I said, "The Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party." I thought I must be responsible for his life and I must have him know about "The Nine Commentaries" and the global trend to quit the CCP, even if he would hang up on me after I said just one sentence. I called him again, but he cursed me and hung up on me again as soon as I mentioned quitting the CCP. I didn't feel upset at all. I was only thinking and worrying about his future. An unknown strength prompted me to call him again. I told him that the CCP is about to collapse. After hearing those words he said immediately, "I am very sorry. Please don't get mad at me. I thought you were a salesman. I had just been cheated by a con man disguised as a salesman and lost a lot of money." Next he said to me, "I am sorry. I will no longer hang up on you; I am all ears." I replied, "I am not mad at you at all. If I were mad at you I wouldn't have kept calling you. If I hadn't been thinking of your best interest, I wouldn't have made international calls to you at my own expense or endured your curse. There must be an enormous predestined relationship between us; otherwise, I wouldn't have tried to reach you repeatedly." Next I started telling him about "The Nine Commentaries" and the global trend to quit the CCP. He asked me some questions, including my views of China's new leaders. I had a discussion on this subject with him. He told me that he had never joined the CCP or any of its affiliated organizations, but he promised to relay what I had said to other people. During our 30-minute conversation he repeatedly apologized to me for hanging on me earlier. In the end I felt somewhat embarrassed by his repeated apology. I was so happy for him.
11. Help People Who Are Staff Members of the CCP
Once I called a resident in Tianjin. He told me that he was a staff member at the local CCP branch. He patiently listened to the CD we made about "The Nine Commentaries" and the global trend to quit the CCP. He was very excited by what he heard and told me that he had received truth-clarification materials in the mail from overseas. He had kept those materials. He was quite interested in talking to me and asked me to keep in touch with him. I offered to quit the CCP online on his behalf and he agreed. He asked me to publish a statement to quit the CCP for his wife as well.
Once we called a special organization in China. During the 20-minute conversation a man asked us a lot of questions. We answered all of them. He wrote down the URL where he could quit the CCP, the phone number of the service center to quit the CCP, the email address of the service center, and the frequency of the Sound of Hope Radio Station. He also expressed his interest in reading Zhuan Falun. I told him that I could mail him a copy. He said that his organization is so unique that even letters from his mother are intercepted and kept from him. He told me twice on the phone that he wanted to quit the CCP, but he changed his mind and said he must discuss it with his colleagues first right before we finished our conversation. I told him that I would follow up with him a few days later and suggested that he listen to "The Nine Commentaries."
Epilogue
We found that, after we had made several dozen or even several hundred telephone calls to a small district, small town, an organization or a residual building there would be an enormous improvement in the environment there. For example, after we made several hundred phone calls to a suburban town of Tianjin, the environment there was transformed. Some people agreed to quit from the CCP in two minutes. Some people decided to pledge never to join the CCP or any of its organizations. Many people patiently finished listening the CD about "The Nine Commentaries" and the global trend to quit the CCP. It truly became a social phenomenon where an entire area of people bade farewell to the CCP.
Despite the aforementioned good responses there are still many people who hung up on us after a few minutes. We should come up with more ways to offer salvation to these people.
