I would like to tell a true story. One day in the middle of a group Fa study, fellow cultivator A suddenly burst out laughing and couldn't stop. We all know how solemn and holy a group Fa study is. Looking at the issue from a variety of angles, whether it is showing the proper respect to Teacher and the Fa, being considerate of other practitioners, or trying to maintain a tranquil and peaceful heart, one clearly shouldn't laugh while studying the Fa. But why was she laughing like that? We believed it was the interference from evil. So we sent righteous thoughts to eliminate the evil's interference. However, fellow A still couldn't stop laughing. After a short while, A did recover and started to read Fa normally as usual. After finishing Fa study, A said with a great deal of emotions, "In cultivation, one must be strict with oneself. If one does something wrong or doesn't have the righteous thoughts, she will be interfered with right away."
It turns out that fellow practitioner B had asked A to keep a piece of paper for him. The next morning when B asked A for the piece of paper, A had forgotten about it and said that she didn't have it. Later on, she did find the paper. But she didn't want to look bad in front of B. So instead of giving out the paper to B, she continued to deceive B and even made fun of B for forgetting where the paper had gone to. When we started the group Fa study, as soon as A thought about what had happened, she began to feel quite pleased with herself. The evil immediately began to interfere with her and caused her to not be able to stop laughing out loud no matter how hard she tried.
Once she realized that she was being interfered with, A looked inside herself, and realized that she had done a wrong thing when she lied to B. She immediately told herself, "On the issue of the paper from B, what I did was wrong." She repeated that twice, and was immediately able to stop herself from laughing. It was just like Master said in "What's there to be afraid of" from Hong Yin II, "As soon as the thoughts are righteous, the evil collapses." (Translator's note: this is an unofficial translation)
In cultivation, everything is important. We shouldn't think certain things are small and insignificant while others are big and important. We must be strict with ourselves and follow the standard of the Fa in everything we do. We must not use our human hearts in any situation.
Of course, every cultivator makes mistakes. But we must remember Master's teaching: "Whenever there is interference of one kind or another, you must look for the cause within yourself and find out what attachment has not been discarded." (Zhuan Falun)
When we are able to unconditionally search inside ourselves no matter what situation we encounter, things will turn around no matter how bleak it might look at the moment.
At this current period of time when the Fa-rectification is at the final stage, Dafa has higher and higher requirements for us. It requires us to become purer and purer, and we must not have any omission.
Recently, Master Li has published the following four articles, "Let go of Human Attachments and Save the World's People," "In Fa-Rectification, your thoughts have to be Righteous, Not Human," "Greetings," and "My Version of a 'Stick Wake-Up.'"
Master Li has told us that we must remove all of our human attachments, maintain righteous thoughts and righteous action, and save the world's people.
Master Li has been rectifying the Fa, and we Dafa disciples have been helping Master Li with the Fa-rectification. Any action that interferes with us or causes tribulations for us is sinful. We must maintain strong righteous thoughts when we encounter problems. We must look inside ourselves and oppose the arrangements. We are Dafa disciples. Even if we have omissions, we still can't allow the evil to interfere with us and cause damage. Master is overseeing our progress, and our omissions should be rectified within the Fa.
