A Dafa practitioner once told me that she dreamt of seeing a king of a paradise. The dream was very lucid, and the king was her father in real life. Her father not only doesn't practice Falun Dafa, but also is resistant to Dafa. This practitioner was going to see her father, who was visiting from Mainland China, in four days. Thus this dream was clearly not coincidental. She told me that now must really be the time to tell the truth to him, although for some reason, telling the truth to him has been difficult. Her father has a very good reputation among everyday people. His family had suffered greatly in the decades of political turmoil in China. They have personally experienced the evilness of the Chinese regime, but somehow cannot truly comprehend Falun Gong.
This reminds me of my parents, who have also had a difficult past. The Chinese Communist Party killed their parents, and they for decades lived under the shadow of their families' so-called "historic problem." They were terribly oppressed and lived in extreme panic. My father once told me that the regime was so oppressive that he developed incurable health problems in his 20s. Sometimes, in order to reduce the pressure from the political oppression, he had to scream alone in a deserted open field. This helped him live on. As a result of the experiences my parents had, they shouldn't be influenced by the propaganda of the evil political group in Mainland China. Because they both are well-educated intellectuals and especially because one of them is a former journalist, they are very critical of the evil actions of the Chinese Communist Party and its propaganda. Nonetheless, on the issue of Falun Gong, they have taken a very dangerous position, as if under some evil spell. They won't even listen to a word I say.
I have long been puzzled by this. As the Fa-rectification progresses, I have come to a better understanding. The Teacher said, "In order to spread the Fa in China, and to not let average persons hear the Fa, many, many kings from different paradises and beings from very high levels--many of whom I've been looking after throughout history--were gathered to reincarnate in the land of China. Of course, in terms of obtaining the Fa today, everyone's treated the same, whether they were looked after or not. So, there's even more reason for us to save the people there. In the midst of the overwhelming, vicious propaganda, what those people have committed are no longer ordinary sins. Some of them are fated for destruction."("Lecture on the Fa at the Washington, D.C. The current Chinese society has all kinds of evils. Due to decades of atheistic brainwashing and the complete decay and money-chasing in society, even the people who don't actively do bad things are so de-sensitized that they are no longer like humans. My parents' values have also profoundly deteriorated in the last twenty years. Before, they used to teach us to follow traditional Chinese morals, but now they only talk about making more money. They have entirely abandoned conscience and virtue. Their close-minded notions caused them to think that because I practice Falun Gong, I won't be able to devote everything to my profession, thus making less money. Under the influence of atheism and current societal trends, they have accused me of not taking care of my own career, and irrationally object to my practicing. Their selfish notions led them to display their demonic side on such an important matter. This is just the manifestation at the human level. There are actually deeper reasons. The evil forces know of their termination, so they are insanely destroying all beings. Why is China the only place in the world where the evil is so rampant? That's because destroying one life there is actually destroying a paradise, a god of a level of heaven. There are countless beings in these paradises. That's why the evil is persecuting Dafa and Dafa disciples regardless of consequences. They use all their propaganda machines to poison people in Mainland China. They use all the police power of the nation to stop the spread of the truth of Dafa, and used their entire propaganda machine to poison the people of Mainland China. Using warped evil notions and jealousy, they are trying to bring catastrophes to these people who seem ordinary but actually came with complex backgrounds. They want to bring these people down with them. For thousands of years in Chinese history, the entire culture was closely related to cultivation. History and the overall environment were both arranged like that. The sole purpose was to provide a foundation for people to obtain the Fa in this period. Countless gods in heaven are fighting to become people, especially Chinese people, during this period. This is clearly also the reason why there has been a population explosion in China in the past decades. So right now, as Fa-rectification disciples, we must try our very best to staunchly protect Dafa and save sentient beings. We should use everything we have, all of our abilities and wisdom, to tell the truth to them, broadly and at length.
The Teacher has said, "What is a Buddha? 'Tathagata' is what humans call someone who's come with the truth and the power to do what he wants, whereas real Buddhas are guardians of the cosmos and are responsible for all righteous elements in the cosmos."("Speech by Master Li Hongzhi at the Western US Cultivation Experience Sharing Conference of Falun Dafa")
In the past two years, I've been actively participating in various events and activities related to Dafa. But when it comes to telling the truth to my parents or people from Mainland China, I feel it's very difficult. I know I have an attachment to fear and selfishness. It's difficult because there is a complicated background. At the same time, because I have omissions, I haven't paid enough attention to telling the truth to Chinese people, and have been taken advantage of by the evil. From studying the Fa, I realized I must make it up. I will use all that Dafa has given me to tell the truth to Chinese people. As a Fa-rectification period disciple, we must be responsive to the entire situation of Dafa. The Teacher has said, "If during this period you cannot do well with what you should do, this Consummation stage can only be a cultivation process, and it cannot fundamentally be Fa-rectification disciples' true and final Consummation."("Fa-Rectification Period Dafa Disciples")
Let us all wake up and be alert. During the historic period of Fa-rectification, we must solidly fulfill this unprecedented mission the Teacher has bestowed upon us.
