[PureInsight.org] One day in the middle of March in 2004, some members of the "Free Heart Chorus" and two young Falun Gong practitioners went again to a well-known tourist site in Taipei – the National Chiang Kai-Shek Memorial Hall – to tell tourists the truth about Falun Gong with songs and smiles. We wanted to share with everyone the message that Falun Dafa is great, and that Falun Dafa has helped more than 100 million people worldwide improve their physical and spiritual health and enhance their morality.
Many western and Asian tourists kept stopping by to enjoy our singing and read the truth-clarification materials as soon as they heard us. When they took our truth-clarification flyers, they started reading them carefully and raised questions about Falun Gong from time to time. After reading the banner that said "Falun Dafa is great", some people would give us a thumb-up and exclaim, "Great!" Some were reading the list of songs composed by Falun Gong practitioners while listening to our singing. They told us that the songs were wonderful. Then they would beckon their friends over to listen to our singing performance.
A little girl was attracted by the young practitioners' dance performances of "The Lotus Blossom" and "The Rainbow in the Dream." She indicated that she really liked the dances. She was curious about the Falun Gong Report (2002) and Falun Gong Report (2003) [available at http://www.faluninfo.net/Downloads.asp] that had been placed on the floor. She flipped through the pages and then she beckoned her younger sister over to read the book too. When she learned that the people in the pictures had been tortured to death because they cultivated in Falun Gong and were determined to follow Falun Gong's teaching be kind and good, both girls shook their heads and indicated that it was wrong to bully and abuse people trying to be good.
The little girls continued to read the truth-clarification books and flyers and didn't want to leave us. They asked, "Are you coming back next week?" Eventually, the two of them left with bookmarks and truth-clarification booklets after taking photographs with us. They lingered for a while before they finally left.
In mid-April of 2004, members of the "Free Heart Chorus" that is composed of graduate students, college students, music instructors, government employees, engineers, meteorologists and journalists, went to the National Chiang Kai-Shek Memorial Hall for the third time in exquisite Tang Dynasty costumes hand tailored by Falun Gong practitioners. They did this to share the truth about Falun Gong with music with the large number of people coming for the exhibition of Egyptian cultural relics from collections of Musée du Louvre taking place at the National Chiang Kai-Shek Memorial Hall.
The three big characters "Truthfulness," "Compassion," and "Forbearance" taped to the front of the electric keyboard, the Falun Dafa truth-clarification posters, the peaceful and relaxed facial expressions of the "Free Heart Chorus" singers, as well as their beautiful singing, quickly attracted the tourists' attention.
Some tourists' faces softened and smiled at the "Free Heart Chorus" as soon as they approached them. Some tourists accepted the truth-clarification flyers and started reading them while enjoying their singing and occasionally asking questions about Falun Gong. Some tourists who had noticed the chorus from a distance approached us to tell us happily, "I could tell that you were nice people as soon as I saw you! You look wonderful!" Even the policemen patrolling the area returned the singers' greetings with smiles.
Many Chinese and foreign tourists requested to have their pictures taken with the ladies in Tang Dynasty dresses. After hearing the song "Coming for you," an energy healer from the U.S. couldn't help telling us how she felt. She said, "I could feel the positive energy when you sang. Your singing is beautiful. You're all very nice people, and you give people a wonderful impression! You're beautiful!" Then she hugged us and told us that she was very happy to meet a group of Falun Gong practitioners in Taiwan and to hear us singing such beautiful songs. She said that she would read the Falun Gong truth-clarification flyers carefully.
At dusk, a group of reporters from Northern Europe came by and stood in front of us for a while. They accepted the truth-clarification flyers, read the truth-clarification posters for a long time, and took quite a few pictures before waving goodbye with a smile.
These Falun Gong practitioners from all walks of life spent their weekends and holidays singing truth-clarification songs, distributing Falun Gong truth-clarification flyers at places of interest in Taiwan, and sharing the facts about Falun Gong with tourists verbally for one purpose only: To let people know the truth that "Falun Dafa is good" and "Falun Dafa is a righteous Fa," and call for help from people of all walks of life to help end the persecution against Falun Gong in China.
We hope our sincerity and kindness will help the tourists open their eyes to see the truth about Falun Gong and to protect the kind Falun Gong practitioners together!
