[PureInsight.org] During the reign of the Song emperor Taizong (r. 976-997), four great encyclopedias were published to collect the whole knowledge of the new empire. The four books were called "Four Great books of the Song Dynasty". The first book Taiping Yulan (Extensive Records of the Taiping Era) is a general encyclopedia. The following is an actual historical event recorded in that book.
A local official in the shire of Luling once filed false charges against a monk and fabricated evidences to support the charges. The monk was sentenced to death and jailed in the shire prison to await his execution.
One day, the official's wife and daughter were sitting by the west window of their home doing needlework. Suddenly, they saw that two soldiers dressed in blue coming out from kitchen with some files in their hands. They told the prosecutor's wife sternly, "Tell your husband not to kill the monk unjustly." After that, they went out the door. Both the wife and the daughter were so scared that they were covered with sweat. After a long time, they stood up and looked at the door. The door was locked as usual. There was no sign of anybody unlocking the door and going out of the house. When the official arrived home that night, his wife told him what had happened, and he became very scared. The next day, he tried to steal the monk's court documents, which contained the execution order. But it was too late for him to do that. He did not dare to tell the truth. So he did not do anything else.
On the day of execution, the official happened to see the monk on the way to the office. Again, he did nothing and allowed the execution to take place. After that, he tried praying and repenting his sins, hoping to evade imminent disaster. However, he died a month later.
Prosecuting cultivators has been a huge crime since ancient times. Today, those who persecute Falun Dafa practitioners are incurring even more sin. If they do not stop their persecution immediately, they will not only receive retribution in human world, they will also receive punishment in other forms.
