“Matter and mind are one thing,” “All matter in the universe, including all substances that permeate the universe, are living beings with thinking minds, and all of them are forms of existence of the universe’s Fa at different levels.” (from 'Why Doesn’t Your Gong Increase with Your Practice?' in Lecture One of Zhuan Falun) Every living matter controls everything that can be controlled in its own particular realm, and each acts according to the standards of its own notions. All of matter’s functions depend on the existence of certain fields, in which their consciousness and thoughts exist. The interactions between one matter and another are through the communication of their two fields.
In other words, sending one's mind energy into the other’s field could exert one’s effect on another. In the section, “Practicing Only One Cultivation Way” in Lecture Three of Zhuan Falun, Master says, 'I had my mind connected with four or five great enlightened people and great Taos from extremely high levels.' This story helps me understand the function of the energy levels of thought with mind communication. The higher one’s mind energy level is, the more still it becomes; the greater its capability of penetrating everything and the greater is its power. It’s just like, “Tranquil but think not-----Mystical wonders will come out.” (from “In the Dao,” Hongyin, Teacher's book of poetry) The more microscopic one’s mind energy, the higher one’s level is, the faster it travels and the more material dimensional fields it can penetrate and restrict. Just like the water of the origin of matter, nothing can make ripples in it. However, it can nurture, and create everything.
Master said, “However strong the righteous thoughts are, that's how great the power is.” (from “Also in a Few Words”) Recently I’ve often had a feeling when sending righteous thoughts. If I tried to let my divine side think about “The Fa rectifies the Cosmos, the Evil is completely eliminated,” I would immediately feel so tall and dignified—with the ability to discern and rectify everything in the vast firmament. But soon afterward my mind would start becoming disturbed, sometimes even bad thoughts appeared, this is something that has never happened during the several years of my cultivation. I tried to rectify it with righteous thoughts, but afterwards it kept reappearing on and off. Recently I tried to track where these thoughts came from. Even with this, I found myself having many impure thoughts, which are the material elements base on which the evil force can still send those bad thoughts into my field.
Sometimes I blamed my mind and imagination for not cooperating during the sending of righteous thoughts. They were often a source of interference. Sometimes out of human thoughts, I even wanted to eliminate them. After studying Master’s recent articles and discussing with other practitioners through an Internet forum, I realized that we are not supposed to eliminate the beings playing the role of interference in this dimension during sending righteous thoughts, but to rectify their bad sides and eliminate the evil force controlling them from higher dimensions. I found that some ordinary people were completely deceived by evil lies. They are actually being controlled by evil from high levels. Because the mind of a human is very weak, anyone can control it. I remember once while attending a birthday party of a former classmate, one of his friends immediately understood what was really going on after he talked to me and listened to my explanation of the truth. It’s the same case with many of my new colleagues. Actually many beings are kind by nature. It’s only that they’re deceived by evil lies. Thus, I changed my notion towards imagination and some other beings. I tried my best to rectify them and remove their deviated elements. Then I found that the effect of my righteous thoughts became much better and more powerful.
From this point, I also recalled the comments from a practitioner in his article--he believed time and space function through mind. I know that ancient Chinese medicine believed that every organ and tissue in the human body has a corresponding god dictating it. They coordinate with each other to keep the body in balance. In regards to this, I had a personal experience in the sitting meditation. Sometimes when I meditated in the morning, once I crossed my legs, my stomach would start aching. At first, I’d stop and go to the bathroom. But after some time I felt like something was wrong. I knew it had to be some kind of interference. Therefore, on one hand I tried to be tranquil and deter those random thoughts. On the other hand I thought of my stomach, asking it to cooperate with me in my practice. Gradually, I found I could immediately control the situation once the ache appeared. My stomach no longer ached even after I finished my practice.
I can also feel the effect of righteous thoughts when I am in pain during the sitting meditation. When I treated the pain with human notions and wanted to move a little bit to make myself comfortable, my legs hurt even more and I became restless. When I realized it was a kind of human notion taking effect and tried to sit still and use higher thoughts to demand myself, I found that no matter how painful my legs were, it could no longer affect my heart. This is because karma cannot influence my high level thoughts; it can only control the human heart below it.
Of course in cultivation we also experience situations when our thoughts and mind-intent are unsteady, weak and low. I think we need to find out the reason why this is so. Especially during Fa-rectification, it is likely to be interference coming from the old evil forces. There are also elements of our own impure thoughts (notions), which are used as an asylum by the old evil forces. So we not only have to eliminate bad thoughts, but also rectify their roots. Just like disease, bad thoughts could probably just be “black qi,” the real reason is very likely the root behind it. We must dig it out and eradicate it.
I often promote Dafa through the Internet. Initially, just as other practitioners do, if my e-mail could not be sent out or received, I often sent righteous thoughts to remove the interference by the old forces. I found the effect to indeed be good, but I always had to send righteous thoughts. This is because I was always assuming that there was evil interference during my work. I realized that this thought was not correct either. The evil should not and cannot cause any interference. Later on, I realized I should not even harbor any thoughts of interference. From then until now, I have only focused on what I am sending, never minding this or that interference. Consequently, what I have sent has been effective. More and more people have come to learn of the truth after reading my messages.
This is just my personal understanding. I welcome comments from other practitioners given out of compassion. Heshi.
