In our world, the primary colors: red, yellow and blue, represent brightness and vivacity. The primary color of our life should not be, cannot be and will never be gloomy and dim.
When I previously read Master Li’s book HongYin, there were several poems that I did not understand. Until one day, when I read it again, I finally understood them. “Whom should the words be told? It’s even colder in higher places.” (“Colder in Higher Places”). It is colder in higher places. The higher one’s level, the more vividly you are able to see the corruption of the beings at low levels and the sufferings of sentient beings. The more you find them unfortunate. Master Li said, “No one in the town is from the past, Home fields desolated several times.” (“Visiting Hometown”) That is, wherever you went, all you see is the desolate scene of “Old palaces and desolated graves, filling eyes with autumn views” (“A Visit to Qingdong Tomb”)
As I read on, I seemed to be able to see my homeland destitute and withering. I remembered the sorrow I used to feel before I started cultivation. The sorrow seemed to be inborn, for many lifetimes there was the huge shadow that enveloped my heart and the invisible burden weighing down on my shoulders and the painful, endless waiting. It was that evil force that made our homeland destitute, made all sentient beings corrupted, made all things withered and fallen, and made me feel at a loss. Before I started cultivation, many people said to me, 'You have split personalities. On one hand, you prefer things and moods that are gray and somber. Yet on the other hand, you long for sincerity and kindness. You warm heartedly help people and give unconditionally.' As I read the book again and again, I couldn’t help bursting into tears.
After I started to cultivate Dafa, I felt like I was standing under the bright light.
Under the bright light, I was able to see clearly that the dark shadow was from the evil force and the cause of my sadness is a reflection of the plight that countless sentient beings and I had fallen into. After cultivation, I no longer visited dance halls with flashing lights, dimly lit cafes and stopped writing sad, gloomy articles. I used to think that these had their own kind of beauty and ambiance. In fact, all these things controlled me and made me give up myself bit by bit. And that arrogant evil force which used to run rampant in our world as well as all the bad things that flourish in the darkness were after all, most afraid of the bright light. Not only are they scared of us walking towards the bright light and leaving behind darkness, they are even more afraid of the bright light approaching them. Especially when Dafa and all its disciples did not fall amidst the evil's tests and instead showed the evil forces the gloriousness of the genuine Fa, the evil forces finally lost their last bit of senses and self-confidence. They started another round of vicious attacks during this New Year's holiday. The most evil wave can only be used to sift away the sand. If the darkness could swallow the bright light, then the bright light would not be called the bright light. The bright light exists so as to eliminate the darkness.
After we clearly saw the dark side of evil, we treasured the preciousness of the brightness even more. After cultivating Dafa, I grew to like colorful, bright things, spacious and bright environments and am filled with a happiness that is pure and calm like still water. Under the bright light, I feel myself approaching brilliance step by step. It is the brightness of Dafa that shows us the true meaning of life. Only when you are melted within the Dafa and within countless lives, can you really enjoy life’s great freedom. Then you will realize how foolish it is to be selfish. It is the Dafa that instills an entirely new meaning into our lives. It turns out that life can be so beautiful! This is then what we call the origin of life.
I hope all disciples, as well as the people who have righteous thoughts about Dafa will hold the glorious and resplendent light of Dafa. Let’s use our wisdom, our ability and the radiance of Dafa to light up and eliminate the only dark corner left in this universe. Let’s return the beauty to life, the brightness to the universe, and everything bestowed by Dafa to its upright and dignified state.
