Recently I read twice a fellow practitioners' argument to "do more extensive, in-depth work to clarify the truth."
When I read this statement for the first time, I thought it was not necessary to do so. We are cultivating during Fa-rectification; therefore, the key point is to upgrade our own level. Only after upgrading our level can we clearly see the problems that are on a relatively lower level. If we recognized that, then the problem could be solved. It was not just a superficial question of how much work we did.
When I read this statement one more time, I thought we must be clear on one crucial issue - when doing this, we need to ask ourselves if we are approaching it from an every day person's point of view or or in the manner of a cultivator. If we indeed wanted to clarify the truth by physically doing more and deeper work, it indicated that we used our human mindset to think about and solve the problem. As a cultivator, in any situation, facing any problem, the first thought should be to look inside our selves. After we find and solve the problem within our own small universe, ourselves, the external problem can easily be taken care of. If we think with the usual human mindset, then we are on a path opposite to cultivation. If we don't pay sufficient attention to this issue, and only recognize it "after the fact," when it is too late, we would not make progress or we could be blocked and would waste a lot of precious time.
Many fellow practitioners have already had a lot of the following experience: whenever we clarified the truth or while confronting the persecution on Dafa, if our thoughts were righteous and we could clearly analyze the situation and the problem at that time, then the people we spoke with would change their minds before we even had said anything. For my own understanding, this change came about because humans were controlled mainly by the evils in other dimensions. Actually, the evils are nothing.
During the process of Fa-rectification cultivation, Master took advantage of the old forces' arrangement to arrange practitioners' cultivation paths. When facing problems, if we could understand well, based on the Fa, we had already passed the test. Meanwhile, in other dimensions there should be no reason for the existence of the evil beings that were taken advantage of by the old forces in the universe, to commit wrongdoings and test practitioners. Once our righteous thoughts were sent forth, their final position would be set by their last thought for Dafa. Some of them would give up vice and change to virtue; some of them would end up like flying ash and smoldering smoke. By that time, humans would have no interference from other dimensions. Under the effect of a cultivators' powerful, righteous energy field, his supernormal powers, people's mind would start to become clear. In that case we will know what we should say and how to say it. Yet, if our righteous thoughts are not strong enough and we didn't enlighten to what we should do and say, then we still could not solve the problem and make a point, even if we used thousands of words. Master told us, "Raising one's level is fundamental in your cultivation." (From "True Nature Revealed" in Essentials for Further Advancement)
If somebody said that "doing more and deeper work" was only a description applying to the form of manifestation, it might be ok. to say so. But based on my present understanding, work is only a form of one of the manifestations of all behaviors and acts that validate the Fa. If we can indeed act as Dafa particles in any circumstance in daily life, including the style of sitting and standing, the manner of treating people, the behavior while talking, and all the rest, what we do then is right for validating the Fa. Meanwhile, if we are not in a right cultivation status, and have not dissolved into the Fa, we merely do something that seems to be Dafa work but is actually only a superficial formality. In that case, what we do will not achieve a good effect for Fa-validation.
The process of our cultivation is exactly a predestined process that transforms us from a human being into a god. During this period, human notions and accustomed ways of doing things will unknowingly emerge from our minds. But these are precisely the things we need to be aware of and eradicate with determination.
How can we strive forward vigorously in cultivation? My understanding is this: we should pay attention whether or not every thought of ours is on the Fa; whether or not it meets Master's requirements for the disciples in this period of the Fa-rectification; and whether it is pure enough. If we aren't pursuing anything, and all we think about is only how to use the Fa to rectify every thought of ours, then this will become the format for our best, diligent advancement, and everything will be within it. If we indeed want to reach this realm, we should be "as vigorous as a lion," and wage the fight with our own human thoughts and eradicate the inappropriate ones without slacking off for even a moment.
