The Value of Life

In the Dharma-Ending period all beings and gods have deviated from the cosmic Fa. In the previous cycles of time a distorted higher being or a whole deviated cosmic layer would be destroyed and eradicated by an even higher being. Consequently, based on this old concept Master Li Hongzhi, as the highest and oldest being would have had to bring the whole cosmos with all beings to a final explosion and extinction. Instead of following this old fatal concept he reincarnated himself in the filthiest place in the universe – the earth. The earth and the “earth-molecules” of the Three Realms are the center of the cosmos and the last step before the extinction of life. A being once entered into the Three Realms has to cultivate back to its origin. If not, it continues by doing samsara several lives; it has to pay back its karmic debts before the final extinction of body and soul happens. Every higher being is afraid of coming here. It is a very, very critical question of life and death.

The old degenerated beings are using every method to ruin Dafa-Disciples and preparing the final extinction of all sentient beings. With the excuse of “testing” Dafa, Master Li and his disciples, they are simply trying to kill. These beings have shown, that they have lost the most fundamental essence of the cosmic principles “Zhen-Shan-Ren” - the value of life. In the Fa-rectification period, with the cruelest persecution that has ever happened in human history, Master Li and the disciples are trying to wake up the hearts of compassion of every being in the cosmos. One or the purpose of Fa-rectification is that all beings become enlightened to exactly the sense of respect for a life, however “low” this sentient being may be. To establish exactly this benevolence for the value of life is, in my very personal understanding, the main reason for the Fa-rectification in the whole cosmos. A being that is able to establish deep in his heart and mind this sense for the life of other beings becomes automatically kindhearted and benevolent. Selfishness has no place in such a kind heart. There is no place in the mind anymore for intellectual, “modern” analyzing of one’s own small attachments and for thinking about the fundamental “Buddha Fa” as a theoretical philosophy (Lunyu).
Master Li has written in his poem:

“Dafa Clears Up Confusion”

All things throughout ages, like fleeting smoke and passing clouds,
Bewilder ordinary human heart;
The reason why the vast heaven and earth were born,
Baffles all sentient beings’ wisdom.

My very personal enlightening to this last sentence of the poem is: Maybe, maybe it is the great and boundless gift of life from by our Teacher to every being in the or, better, his Universe.
The only way I can express my gratitude for this immensurable benevolence is to cherish not only my own life, but to encompass the cherishing of the lives of all other beings, too, and to include the whole cosmic system as a “living” being. To treat all of them with a kind heart, benevolence and in a way of deep respect and serious responsibility becomes more and more the essence of my cultivation. Master Li Hongzhi is suffering in the Fa-rectification only that we all can continue with our joy of life! Teacher is living Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance in the highest form!
