"The Fa rectifies the Cosmos, the Evil is completely eliminated; the Fa rectifies Heaven and Earth, immediate retribution in this lifetime."
The Fa-rectification verses are not just verses for eliminating evil. There are many different meanings in these words. When we send forth righteous thoughts, our hearts are pure, and we are in a state of great benevolence and compassion.
The verse “the Fa rectifies the Cosmos” includes the meaning of using Dafa’s power of perfect harmony to rectify all the unrighteous elements. There are a lot of dimensions in the colossal universal system. They are facing the danger of falling apart and getting dissolved because they have deviated from the characteristic of the universe over a long period of time. When our Buddha bodies in other dimensions pass through these deviated dimensions while we silently recite, “the Fa rectifies the Cosmos,” the entire environment of substances is quickly rectified.
Those pieces of building blocks that had been broken down, tipped over or collapsed automatically fly up and reassemble, resurrecting their original fine buildings. Dried and withered flowers, grasses and trees renew their vital force. The auspicious breeze blows continually. The air shines with a golden light in the sunshine, and the corrected dimensions are so harmonious that all the beings living inside them exclaim in utter amazement. When many lives were created in these dimensions, their environment was already impure. These lives became heavier and heavier due to their deviation from “Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance.” But now, under the power of the Fa-rectification verses, everything is rectified. Meanwhile, those corrupted and degenerated environments of substances are instantly cleaned up. The evil immediately disappears like ashes and smoke, because they have lost the environment they relied on.
What the verses “the Fa rectifies the Cosmos” and “the Fa rectifies Heaven and Earth” correct is not just the environment of substances. It also includes all the principles of Fa in the cosmos and everything between heaven and earth. Retribution is just like the shadow following the body, which is one of the many Fa-principles that gods use to discipline people. But along with the deviation of the human society, degenerated human beings focus more and more on little bits of material benefits and develop a blind faith in tangible material objects. Even after they receive retribution, people still think that they are accidents and unknowingly continue to do bad deeds. Seeing that the worldly people are refusing to come to their senses, gods arrange fewer and less immediate reckonings. For those who have entirely lost control and commit all kinds of crimes, the gods just leave them alone to wait for their immediate destruction after this lifetime when they have used up the last bit of their white substance (virtue).
Meanwhile, the gods are benevolent to good people who still have righteous thoughts and keep arranging retributions for them, allowing them to pay back their karma so as to have a good future. The deluded worldly people still do not believe in retribution. As a result, more and more false and evil theories such as “bad people have long and happy lives while good people do not receive good rewards” come out.
The verses “the Fa rectifies the Cosmos” and “the Fa rectifies Heaven and Earth” rectify all of these false theories, allowing the heavenly principles including immediate retribution in this lifetime to return to the human world. Good people should have good rewards, and that is a universal law. Immediate retribution in this lifetime is not the same as fighting back and getting revenge among everyday people. Its purpose is to let good people immediately get good returns, so as to make their minds firmly lean towards goodness. Those people who are beyond redemption and who commit all manners of crimes should be immediately destroyed and not be allowed to harm good people in the human world.
These Fa-rectification verses are the manifestation in the human world. When we do the upright palm or big lotus hand gesture to eliminate the evil, our Buddha bodies in high dimensions are rectifying the colossal firmament, where the Fa-rectification verses have their own manifestations.
When I erect my palm and silently recite the verse “the Fa rectifies the Cosmos, the Evil is completely eliminated,” my mind-intent always breaks through straight to the top of the colossal celestial-body system. With a righteous mind, I tell the unrighteous forces in the dimensions where the Fa-rectification has not reached, to stop interfering and harming the Dafa that creates the universe and all beings, and to double their efforts to make amends. Otherwise, their fate will be complete destruction. I am a God with a huge body here, looking down at the Three Realms and benevolently eliminating all evils that exist there, encompassing everything while leaving out nothing. When I do the big lotus hand gesture and silently recite the verse “the Fa rectifies Heaven and Earth, immediate retribution in this lifetime,” I keep expanding outwards with myself as the center, like the way that “the Buddha-light illuminates everywhere,” letting good people obtain rewards or bad people receive retribution.
Eliminating the evil is one function of the Fa-rectification verses. Eliminating the evil is benevolent to the worldly beings. Whoever damages Dafa in the high levels are the evil forces; whoever persecutes Dafa disciples without remorse in the human world is evil as well.
In order to protect the kind people in the human world and to help them keep their good thoughts in their hearts, we must eliminate the evil. This is the benevolence of enlightened beings.
