Currently, many articles on the PureInsight website relate experiences and realizations practitioners have had during cultivation. I have heard some students say that they enjoyed reading articles on PureInsight. It appears that practitioners have no major difficulties accepting the contents of PureInsight. Personally, I believe that one function of PureInsight is to help students realize their own deviated notions, break through them and advance together. “You know, what's presented on our PureInsight web site is the future humankind's new concepts, and it represents the new humankind's future thinking and correct views…” (From “Lecture on the Fa at the Washington D.C. International Conference.”) This means we need the participation of many practitioners. Practitioners' attention and contributions are important factors in the development of PureInsight.
PureInsight still has room for improvement. For example, the scope of discussion is quite limited. One problem that requires urgent attention is the lack of connection with ordinary people and helping them find things they can read and understand. PureInsight can also provide source material for Dafa TV programs and newspapers. Practitioners may be able to tell the truth to ordinary people using articles downloaded from PureInsight. This would require writing our articles plainly so that ordinary people can understand them.
Many articles written by practitioners are only suitable for other practitioners and not ordinary people. Zhuan Falun describes the cosmic principles of the universe, but Teacher uses very plain language and stories to convey his teaching. Ordinary people can find what they are looking for, and practitioners can find what they seek. If our articles can be written for ordinary people, wouldn’t they like to read them? Of course, they could still contain the profound principles of the Fa. The laws and principles would be beneath the surface. People at different levels could find meanings at their levels.
PureInsight can serve a unique function in revealing the truth to the Chinese during this Fa-rectification period. It is easier to clarify the truth to Westerners. Sometimes, they can understand the truth just from the perspective of human rights. However, the Chinese have been thoroughly poisoned during the course of this evil persecution. It is relatively difficult to clarify the truth to them. The Chinese have been deceived for over two years by the lies of Jiang Zemin and his totalitarian government. Everyday they hear nothing but evil lies and slander. Many people are hostile to Dafa and Dafa practitioners because they believe these evil lies. Dafa disciples practice compassion. We should give even these beings an opportunity, because they have been deceived. When telling the truth to people in Mainland China, we must do it thoroughly.
“Use every effective method to deeply and meticulously clarify the truth to Chinese people and help Chinese people come to understand Dafa in a positive way. The significance of this is unparalleled.” (From ClearWisdom Editors, “Make the Best Use of Time to Clarify the Truth to the Precious Chinese People.”) I think that this “deeply and meticulously” has profound significance, beyond simply relating facts. Telling people about the truth of the self-immolation in Tiananmen and the 1400 alleged deaths is an important part of our clarifying the truth, but that is not the whole story. When we clarify these things, some may accept it readily. However, others may not be able to accept or believe it, because they have been poisoned too thoroughly.
One important reason why it is hard to tell the truth to Chinese people is their deviated notions. These deviated notions not only hinder their understanding, but also they impede spreading the truth. Many people think they know the truth about Dafa when actually, they don’t. Even though a lot of people know about the brutal persecution of Falun Gong, they are not moved by it. Because of the various deviated notions of ordinary people, they are not able to tell the good from the bad, and think that the persecution is justified. For example, a lot of people think that our disciples’ going to Tiananmen is aimed at undermining the government. They think going to appeal is disregarding family and work, or is causing trouble for the leadership of their work unit. They also think telling the truth to people abroad is damaging China’s image . These deviated notions make them think that the persecution is justified, and may even cause them to help the persecutors. They are kept from seeing the great compassion and tolerance of Dafa disciples, and lead them to think negatively of Dafa.
Articles appearing on PureInsight can analyze the deviated notions of ordinary humans from the perspective of universal laws and provide principles to help them understand and differentiate good from bad. If our articles can change the notions of one ordinary person, and help him or her gain a correct understanding of Dafa, haven’t we saved that person? In clarifying the truth, it’s necessary to let people realize the brutality of the persecution and to expose the evil lies. But the criteria of good and bad in today’s human world are disappearing. It’s also important when clarifying the truth to let people know what is truly good, and what is truly bad. This will make it easier to allow them to know the truth and ignite the kindness in their heart.
The fear and indifference of ordinary people can also thwart their telling the truth to one another. Breaking though people’s deviated notions will spark their kindness and cause them to assist us in clarifying the truth. If one ordinary person tells the truth to another, he or she may uncover a predestined relationship with Dafa. This will provide a firm foundation for obtaining the Fa in the future.
We can look for what notions affect the understanding of the truth and the indifference to the persecution of Falun Gong by the Chinese. Breaking through these deviated notions of the Chinese is a necessary component of clarifying the truth deeply and meticulously. This task may seem hard, but in reality, it may not be. Dafa disciples understand high-level laws and principles. This makes it easy to break through human deviations. When ordinary people read Dafa disciples’ articles and find them reasonable and justified, it can break through their deviated thoughts and notions, and build a foundation for their obtaining the Fa in the future.
