only two outcomes of one's thought: conforming to the Fa, which is
righteous, or not, which is human thoughts. Through cultivation
practice, every thought of ours should conform to the Fa and be
righteous, and all of our human thoughts should be removed. Before
cultivation practice, all our thoughts were human thoughts. After we
started cultivation practice, through studying the Fa, we have started
to use the Fa to measure things and have developed righteous thoughts.
With our constant Fa study, we have understood more and more Fa
principles and our minds have become clearer and clearer, and we have
had more and stronger righteous thoughts. At the same time, we can
identify whether our thoughts are human thoughts. If we find it does
not conform to the Fa, which is human thoughts, then we negate it,
follow our righteous thoughts, and then we have righteous actions. When
we can persist with righteous thoughts and righteous actions in a
certain kind of matters, which means we are qualified in this aspect,
then Teacher will help us remove our human thoughts. In addition,
Teacher has given us the power to send righteous thoughts to remove our
human rights.
What happened was that our human thoughts decreased and our righteous
thoughts increased; our human thoughts became weaker and weaker and our
righteous thoughts became stronger and stronger.
In our cultivation practice, we're constantly in a fight between human
thoughts and righteous thoughts. When things arise, as soon as it
touches our human thoughts, the human thoughts will come out and try to
manipulate our brain to do things. Righteous thoughts also want to
dominate our brain and let us do things following the Fa. Now it is up
to the stronger thoughts to win and manipulate our brain. Our effort
should be helping our righteous thoughts to win. To do this, we have to
do two things: Study the Fa and strengthen our righteous thoughts, and
cultivate our mind to remove human thoughts.
Studying the Fa and cultivating our hearts are the basic guarantee for
cultivation practice, which is also what the old forces pay attention
to. This is also the defining element to see whether a practitioner is
diligent or not, and also where the old forces can take advantage.
Most of our fellow practitioners that are subject to persecution are
widely acknowledged as good people. Why are they persecuted while doing
so well?
Teacher has asked us to do three things well, which has profound
meanings. My personal understanding is, the three things have
inter-relationships. The first thing is fundamental for the other two
things, which includes studying the Fa and building righteous thoughts,
cultivating our heart and removing attachments. When we do personal
cultivation well, our righteous thoughts are ample and strong and our
human thoughts are few and weak and then we can clean our mind to do
the second thing well, which is sending forth righteous thoughts. Then
the effect of eliminating evil will be good, and it will clear the
obstacles to saving sentient beings. When we do the first two things
well and have strong righteous thoughts and no obstacles, it will be
smoother for us to do the third thing well, which is clarifying the
facts. They are all related. Only by doing them all well as a whole can
the effect be good.
The practitioners that are subject to persecution tend to do the third
thing a lot and didn't do the first two things completely well.
Especially if one does not do the first thing well and does not pay
enough attention to studying the Fa and cultivating one's heart, one
will have intact attachments which will create loopholes for the old
forces to take advantage of. This is exactly the reason for the
persecution to happen.
Of course, we negate the evil persecution. But we must put it into
action. If we do not conduct true cultivation diligently and do not
do the three things well, aren't we following the old forces'
arrangement in a certain way? Aren't we walking the path that the old
forces had arranged? The true negation is to not walk the path arranged
by the old forces, conduct true cultivation and do the three things
well. Only by walking the path arranged by Teacher can we completely
negate the old forces' arrangements, prevent persecution from
happening, drive away interferences, save sentient beings and fulfill
our historic missions.
